"Is it done then?" Maeko asks as Reku sits across from her.

"Yeah. As good as new." He finishes his dinner and puts the stuff on the side.

"You don't know how lucky you are. Having so many talents. You could probably do anything you want. I wish I could do more." Maeko intertwines her fingers and rests her head on her propped elbows.

"You're talented though. It's not everyday that you see a pretty 17 year old girl being named a champion swordwoman."

"What exactly got you interested in all this stuff? Like gundams and military."

"Well both of my parents were high ranking Preventers and I grew up with the older gundam pilots, so it was just something I really picked up. I knew I had to be extra smart and skilled to get where they are, especially with being partially deaf, so I just worked really hard. What about you? What's a girl doing wandering around space?" he asks, propping his head like Maeko's.

"Well, I've lived with my grandparents most of my life since both of my parents died when I was really young. They both take care of a shrine on one of the colonies and I grew up helping them out. Then one day, I saw Master Seiji practicing and became so interested that i joined his dojo, being the youngest and only girl there. I really practiced and soon became one of his most talented pupils, even giving me his most treasured sword. Then one day, he asked me if I would take over his dojo since he had no family that knew the style, so I agreed. When I came home to tell my grandparents, they weren't very happy. It seems they wanted me to take care of the shrine, since I was the only grandchild and they wanted to keep a direct bloodline. I didn't know what to do, so I left on a journey, hoping that something would happen that would help me decide my place in life. And now I find myself as a gundam pilot. I never knew things would turn out this way," she ends with a smile.

"Wow. That sounds like one of those stories on television," Reku comments trying to sort everything out.

"Anyways, you wanted to tell me something, so tell."

"Um, well...you see...there is something I have to tell you, but it's kinda hard," he says, starting to figet with his fingers.

"Go ahead. It can't be that bad," she urges, motioning with her hand. Silence hangs in the air for a few seconds, Reku bowing his head.

"Well, when I first saw you, I thought you were the prettiest girl I've ever seen and you're so nice and warm and...I like you Maeko. I really really like you and I think I might be falling in love with you," he says, lifting his head and looking at a stunned Maeko.

"Oh..." she says, leaning back into the chair, eyes wide opened.

"Maeko?"

"I wasn't expecting that." She puts her hands up to her face and starts to rub it.

"Maeko, I..." Reku starts, turning his head away.

"Hey you two. We're leaving now, so you better go get your gundams and stuff...did I interrupt something?" Naora asks, as she enters looking at the two teens.

"No. We'll get the gundams right away. The sooner we leave the better," Maeko says, getting up without looking at Reku and leaving.

"What have I just done?" Reku whispers to himself as he takes his garbage to be thrown away."

I'll say it again...I love drama and a little bit of angst getting mixed in gives it more flavor. Who's next?

As they ran to the gundams Reku's pase slowed a bit. He was so confused. but that was when the buzzing in his head started. He thought it was just the volume on his hearing aid, but as he got closer to his gundam it got worse and finally took him over.

" Reku slow down the enemy is waiting, they can't. Whoa." Gallian said backing off as Reku walked past, his eyes glossy and dark.

" Leave me alone, I have a mission to complete."

" Yeah, we all do, to save the world." Naora said.

"No , I have to kill the gundam pilots, all of you must die. So that my master can rule the world." He said as he stopped in front of his gundam.

" There's something wrong with you, stay here, we can handle it ourselves, Naora call his dad." Gallian said.

" Yes"

Gallian moved to restrain Reku but he dodged and ran for the door. Gallian grabbed his leg and pinned him to the floor. " What the hell is wrong with you."

" There is nothing wrong with me, it is you who will die."

" Lock him up, Porthole help Gallian secure him."

" What's wrong with him....

"Sally gave him some tranquilizers so that he should calm down now. But what exactly happened?" Wufei asks as everyone gathers in the conference room.

"One minute we were all going to our gundams and the next he was talking about killing the gundam pilots," Naora says.

"Maeko, was anything wrong with him before when you were talking?" Hilde asks.

"No. Nothing at all," she says quietly, still thinking about the last conversation she had with him.

"Sally said there were strange brainwaves coming from him and he was also talking about his master," Gallian comments.

"Maybe he's being controlled, somehow," Porthole suggests.

"We just gotta figure out how," Trowa says.

"Why does this have to happen to our family?" Hilde complains as Duo takes her into his arms.

"Guys, we have a problem. It seems that Reku just escaped," Quatre says from the vidscreen.

"What? I thought Sally gave him enough tranquilizers to knock a normal person out for a day," Wufei comments as the others become equally surprised.

"You should know by now that gundam pilots aren't normal people. The worst thing is that he took his gundam with him. The best we can do is track him."

"Reku, what are you doing?" Maeko thinks to herself.

" He's coming sir. And he has his gundam with him." Dagger said as Alex shot her a dirty look.

" Good and they didn't find the controller in his hearing aid did they?" Gelfis replied.

" No."

" When he comes, shoot him and take the gundam. I don't want another one of them here, and I don't want him alive."

" Yes sir."

" What's going on, where am I?" Reku said as he found himself in the gundam. "Where am I going?" He felt sick as though he should sleep but couldn't with the buzzing in his head.

" Nightstalker go back to the preventor base. I don't know why just do it."

The gundam changed direction again only to be met by a recently repaired gundam.

" What do you think your doing." Gallian yelled.

" I don't know, I can't stop this buzzing in my ears, it's making me sick." Reku said turning green.

Gallian grabbed the gundam and brought it back to base, where he pulled the pilot out and tossed him to waiting soldiers.

" Please stop the buzzing make the voices go away."

" Voices, but you can barely hear us.... the hearing aids take them out." Gallian said figuring it out.

The soldiers take them out and Reku slumps unconsious in their arms.

" Well, I see he's still alive." Wufei said looking at them both.

" Here, there is the controller, and the voices in his head." Gallian said tossing the devices to Duo.

" must have been when they held him captive." Quatre said." Because he's only taken them off once and that was with us."

An hour later....

"he'll be out of the battle for quite sometime, those were powerful enough to mess with his system and he's very sick, he's got a fever so high that it's like he's on the sun. And it hurts so much for him to breath that, well I just don't know, but it could be related to his earlier injuries." Sally said not really looking at any one.

" So it's just us then." Porthole said. " How are we going to do this with just us, we're a team we work together."

" We'll just have to find a way."

" We'll go with out him....

Dagger stepped back and headed to the cell where Chloe was being kept,"I have work for you to do," she stood in the doorway with her arms crossed.

"Go to hell," Chloe spat.

Dagger smirked," You don't have a choice in this matter little girl. Besides, we are in hell!" she stood in the doorway, not giving "no" an answer.

"What do I have to do?" she asked wearily, her resolve diminishing.

Dagger's smile broadened,"You get to infiltrate the enemy of course," she unlocked Chloe's handcuffs.

Wufei sat out by himself while the others tended to Gallian. A shadow appeared in the fog. He strained his eyes, trying to see who it was. A woman, he thought, but he couldn't tell who.

"Hello Wufei," the young woman stopped ten feet from him.

"Meiran?" Wufei gasped, his eyes wide," You're dead! I saw you die!"

"You're pathetic. You can't even tell your dead wife and her younger sister apart?" she gave a small smile," How have you been?"

"Chloe...." he blinked," Follow me, sister,"

She smirked and thought inwardly,'This will be easier than I thought.'
