I don't care if some jackass guy has reciently screwed you over in a similar way in real life, stop transfering that stupidity on to Heero. Enough is enough, both here and in your colab fic with Miz
Ouch. Perhaps it's not my place to defend myself, but your review is kind of rude. I don't mind criticism if you feel that certain actions don't reflect the personalities of the characters (as you see them) and would like to see them portrayed more positively, but to assume things about my personal life and criticize my integrity as a writer in light of such an assumption is rude. I /have/ been through a painful experience similar to what occurs in this story that has supplied some ideas and a rough reference, but it wasn't recent, I'm not still angsting over it, and Desires is not that story. First loves and first breakups are simply tough experiences and /that/ was the story I meant to tell here (so far). It's not an uncommon story (in fact, more common than successful relationship stories) and I wanted to tell it for Heero and Relena. What's more, I didn't mean for Heero to be seen as a villain in this story. I also know what it is like to be in Heero's shoes on the other side of the fence and that's not easy either! Heero's lack of social awareness and habit of keeping things to himself makes him behave more coldly to Relena (and others) than he should, but that's part of the conflict and character development in this story, so please don't assume that I'm writing for some kind of personal revenge and displacing my anger at someone onto Heero. (but even if an author does write with that kind of cathartic intention, who are you to criticize them?)
What's more, this is a completely different kind of story than Final Mission Status. Heero and Relena might as well be different people in them. In this story, you know Heero doesn't love Relena. If he doesn't, he doesn't; that's how it goes sometimes. But Heero is still a mystery in fms. I think it's unfair that you would judge both stories by the same bar and accuse me of transfering stupidity unto Heero in BOTH stories because of some (wrong) assumption about my personal life.
I do appreciate your review. But in the future, try not to make assumptions about my personal life and slam my integrity as a writer. Even if you didn't mean it that way, it came across offensively. Just be careful how ou phrase things and try to be more polite.
And yes, if you want to know, there is something similar to what suggest in the workings of furture chapters.
