Inu/Kag Fic. Sappy Romance and Stuff.
The shikon jewel has been destroyed and Kagome is back in her own time. How do things
go from here? Let?s look and see.
Presenting: The first chapter of the Inu/Kag Sappy Romance Fic.
Rated NC-17 just in case.
Chapter: The Separation: Or Chapter One.
Inuyasha and Kagome had ditched Miroku, Sango and Shippo. They were silently
walking to the well. Mission: Accomplished, the shikon jewel was assembled and
destroyed similarly. Naraku was defeated and Kikyo had gone the way of Naraku,
throwing herself on him as his body was burnt to a crisp. Inuyasha had been silent for
some time after Kikyo?s demise and Kagome had not mentioned the silence. Now they
were on the way to the well and Kagome was not planning on returning. Inuyasha was
still silent, but he was speaking volumes with that silence. He seemed sad rather than
angry. His arms were crossed in front of his chest and he looked pensive. Kagome tried to
keep her eyes earthward, she was afraid that if she met Inuyasha?s eyes, she?d start crying.
They reached the well and Kagome sat on the edge with her legs hanging into the well.
?Well, I guess this is goodbye.? Inuyasha said quietly, still looking at the ground. ?I guess
so. I hope you?ll treat Shippo well, I don?t want to leave him but I have no choice. Please
take care of him, he looks up to you.? ?I will. I ... well..? Inuyasha stumbled over his
words. ?It?s okay Inuyasha, I understand.? Kagome whispered. Inuyasha suddenly and
inexplicably became angry. ?Do you? I don?t see how you can! You?ve stood by me
through everything because you knew how much I needed you and now you?re leaving
me. I can?t stand this Kagome., please don?t leave me.? He advanced on her and was
standing right next to her, he took hold of her hand and was squeezing it tightly. She
looked up at him, unshed tears in her eyes and said quietly, ?I can?t stay. You know that
as well as I do.? Inuyasha looked down at her dejectedly. They stayed that way for a
while, then Kagome said, ?I really have to go Inuyasha.? She pulled her hand away.
Inuyasha started to let go then pulled Kagome up quickly. He planted a chaste kiss on her
lips then let her go. She fell into the portal, flushed and feeling very confused.
Kagome had little time to puzzle over Inuyasha?s behavior the next day as she was
swamped with homework. Her sophomore year in high school was a busy one, she was
catching up on classes from the feudal era and failing miserably for the most part.
Kagome was never very good at math and the Algebra Two class was draining her
resources. When she returned home, her mother met her at the door. ?You have a visitor
dear, he doesn?t think I know he?s here but I know he is. Go talk to him, he?s been up
there for hours waiting for you.? Kagome sighed heavily. ?Just what I need, he?s hanging
around like a lovesick puppy waiting on me. I hope he?s not in a nasty mood.? Inuyasha
was sitting on her bed, arms crossed in front of his chest, his head bowed. ?What is it
Inuyasha?? She tried to sound irritated but ended up sounding desperate. He didn?t
answer and she reached over to shake him. ?Inuyasha? Are you okay?? Inuyasha jumped
awake. He rubbed his eyes and his attitude returned. ?Where the hell were you? I?ve been
waiting here forever!? ?I was in school. That?s what I do. What did you want anyway? I
thought you were mad at me.? He looked over at her as she sat on her bed, her hair falling
about her shoulders. She was more beautiful in his eyes than anything else in his world.
?Has my being mad at you ever stopped me before?? Kagome looked up as she heard a
tenderness in his voice that she had missed for quite some time. His eyes matched his
voice, tender in a way that he usually reserved for the now departed Kikyo. Kagome
smiled then, the gray of her eyes shining and her lips turning up only so slightly. ?No.
come to think of it, no. So what do you want?? Inuyasha shook himself from the beauty
of her eyes and replied just as gently. ?Is it so hard to believe that I just wanted to see
you? Why do I always have to have a reason to visit you?? Kagome blushed and looked at
her carpet. Inuyasha stepped closer and pulled up her chin with one claw. ?I like seeing
you, Kagome. Please don?t make me stop.? Kagome searched his piercing amber eyes for
a sign of insincerity but found none. ?I won?t stop you. Why did you kiss me yesterday??
Inuyasha now blushed and looked away. Kagome stood and pulled up his chin. ?No fair,
you made me look you in the eye. So why did you do that?? Inuyasha looked into those
clear gray pools of light and melted on the spot, he leaned in and gave her another chaste
peck. ?Do you really have to ask, Kagome? You know very well why.? Kagome blushed
heavily but didn?t look away. She smiled up at him and said, ?No, I know why, I just
didn?t know if you knew. I return the feelings whole heartedly, Inuyasha.? ?So will you
come back to my time with me? Just for a visit? Shippo?s been nagging constantly about
you and when you?re coming back.? Kagome laughed, a musical sound that turned
Inuyasha?s blood hot. ?Sure, just for a visit. Next time you come, bring Shippo with you
okay?? Inuyasha smiled then, one of those ultra rare smiles that melted Kagome?s heart.
He leaned in and kissed her again. ?I will, but for now let your mom know where you?re
going. I?ll have you back before too late.? Kagome laughed aloud on her way to the
kitchen. Imagine, Inuyasha concerned that her mother know her whereabouts and that
she?d be safe with him. This was getting to be too much for Kagome and she?d only been
?dating? Inuyasha for twenty- four hours. They returned to the feudal era and happened
upon something they didn?t expect. ?Sango! Miroku! What?s going on?? Kagome yelled,
covering her eyes.
A/N: I know what you?re thinking but it isn?t like that. Just read on and
find out what it really is! ( Next Chapter: The conclusion of this little romp and some
slightly hotter
action between our two favorite lovers!
