?Thank you for driving all the way over here Hatori.? Hatori showed a small smile looking down at Tohru. ?It's no problem at all.? Shigure came running down the stairs with his hair still wet. ?I'm reeeeady, we can all go n-? He stopped, noticing Hatori, Kyou, and Yuki were glaring at him. Yuki sighed, ?Do you really have to take such long showers? At least it would make sense for Kyou, but not you.? Shigure laughed nervously. ?Now Yuki, you needn't be so rude-? ?He really does have a point Shigure, Tohru doesn't have all the time in the world, and the rest would be very upset back at Sohma house if they could not see her off.? Hatori interrupted. Shigure made sad puppy dog eyes and cowered by Tohru. ?Tohru is the only one here who isn't so calloused!? Tohru smiled nervously. Hatori, and Kyou huffed at the same time. ?Let's get going then.? Hatori said abruptly.

As Tohru was sitting in the back, between Kyou and Yuki, she couldn't help but feel just a little sad.

?Toooohhruuuu!? The small boy yelled as he jumped and threw his arms around Tohru's neck. POOF ?O-oh! Momiji hi!? Tohru said happily as she held up the yellow bunny. ?So are you really leaving huh? Are you really going off to college?? Tohru smiled. ?Well, uhm, yes, actually I-? ?So it's true?...Huh...? The bored sounding voice came from behind, and Tohru looked over her shoulder, ?Oh!? Kyou and Yuki looked very unamused. (Kyou: He's here too? Yuki: So Hatsuharu's here as well.) Hatsuharu walked over to Tohru, and looked down at her and Momiji. ?Tohru?...? Tohru smiled, and rested Momiji on a chair, ?O-oh, yes?? He suddenly pulled Tohru into a tight hug. Tohru's eyes shot wide open. ?Nnnahhhh!? POOF Kyou and Yuki both froze. ?Hatsu...Haru???? Tohru said shakily as she stared at the black and white cow. ?I knew I wouldn't get a chance to tomorrow, so I decided to get that past us now.? Tohru smiled. ?Oh...? Hatsuharu sat down, and glanced over at Yuki and Kyou. ?Unlike those two, I can handle hugging someone just because I want to.? Both Yuki and Kyou turned red. ?Shut up Haru!? Kyou retorted, turning away angrily, and Yuki stayed silent. Tohru smiled. ?It's nothing you should be embarrassed about, if any of you ever wanted a hug, just for no reason at all, I don't mind, I don't mind at all.? Yuki and Kyou both looked at her blankly. POOF Tohru instantly closed her eyes, ?Nothing to be embarrassed of, yeah, even though we transform back naked!...? Kyou said irritably. Tohru opened her eyes and saw Momiji was dressed again, and smiled at him. Tohru looked around a bit, and suddenly spoke up. ?I'll be right back, i think I'm going to try and find Kagura.? With out waiting long, Tohru walked off into the main house. She was heading for the door to outside, when she noticed the room in which she'd spoken with Akito all that time ago. She stopped, and slowly turned to walk into the room. She slid open the door, and stared at Akito's window. A chill ran down her spine, and she gripped the rim of the doorway. (Tohru's memory-Akito: And that's just the beginning of it....) She took one step in, and stopped. 'The curse....it's not broken...he said...' She remembered his cold voice speaking it's last words to her (?As long as you are around, The Sohmas will never be free.?) She looked around the room, the traces of him still evident. 'Please.... Just leave them alone...' She thought feeling horribly frightened. A bird suddenly flew through the window, and Tohru jumped back. It perched on the window seal and stared at her. A cold sweat ran down the back of her neck, and she turned around slamming the door behind her, and ran.

Tohru was standing in front of the door to Kagura's house, a note was left on the door saying that her and her family would be out that day. Tohru looked a bit saddened. 'I guess you can't have it all. In this case I'll just have to call her.' ?So this is where you've been Miss Honda.? Tohru looked over her shoulder, feeling a bit startled. ?Oh, Yuki, hi.? She said with a smile, ?I was about to say goodbye to Kagura, but, I guess she's out today.? Yuki smiled as Tohru walked down the front porch stairs towards him. ?Yes, well, I'm sure as long as you call her she'll be just as happy.? Tohru nodded. ?I thought so too...I'll just go back and spend more time with everyone else.?

Tohru Kyou and Yuki waved goodbye to all the cousins, and began walking back home. Tohru let out a silent sigh, 'I can't help but feel a sense of loss, leaving them all like this...I mean, I'd have to go eventually, and do something with my life, but still... Seeing them all as I was walking away, am I really doing the right thing??

When they arrived back at the house, Shigure greeted them with a smile and wouldn't stop talking about how much she wanted to take them all to dinner. Tohru finally acquiesced and they were all taken to a highly priced restaurant, and much to Tohru's surprise, the two boys didn't fight at all, not even a glare. The only thing either of them could seem to manage, was a sad little smile, and a drooping posture. Shigure grinned at them both, pointing his chopsticks at them. ?You two really are such party-poopers tonight. Our dear sweet Tohru is going away tomorrow and all you can do is pout, oh the tragedy!? Kyou and Yuki both clenched a fist and Shigure could hear the bones popping, Tohru smiled nervously, and walked off towards the bathroom. ?That's the reason we're like this!? Kyou and Yuki yelled over the noise of restaurants' crowd. Shigure laughed triumphantly, ?Ahh, you two are so easy... But on a more serious note-? his eyes grew darker, and the two boys leaned over the table to listen better. ?You know the main reason she's leaving is not because of her mother's wishes, but because of what Akito said before he passed away...? Yuki slightly flinched at the name, and Kyou's muscles tightened. ?He somehow changed the curse, it's not to be broken... unless we have no feelings for Tohru.? Kyou's eyes widened, and Yuki leaned forward a bit more, ?What?...how the hell does that make sense Shigure?? Shigure lowered his voice a bit more. ?As in, the feelings you have for her, the feelings Kyou has for her...it's different from the rest of the Sohmas. You two care for her more, and evidently, Akito wanted that stopped... Tohru wants us to be free, so she of course is leaving, in hopes that we'll all lose affection for her once she is gone, and the curse will end.? Yuki sat back in his seat, seeming suddenly drained. ?So....that's why she's leaving?...? Kyou's low voice sounding unusually sad and calm. Tohru walked back to the table and sat down next to Shigure. ?Well, I guess I'll just have to split the check evenly hmm?? she said cheerfully. Shigure raised an eyebrow sarcastically, and smiled at her. ?It's my treat Tohru, you've made us dinner for 2 and a half years, I think it's justified if I buy dinner just this once.? Tohru looked a bit surprised, but smiled widely. ?Well thank you very much!?

That night as Tohru lay in bed, all she could think about, was how much fun she'd had that day, and how much she was going to miss all of them....

Tohru awoke early that morning, making sure all of her things were packed, and she finally heard the doorbell ring. She walked down the stairs and opened the door, only to see her two friends smiling at her. Uo slapped a hand to Tohru's shoulder. ?Hey, how ya doing?? Hana smiled. ?Yes, how are you doing Tohru, are you all right?? Tohru nodded, ?Yes, I'm fine...I've just been making sure everything's packed.? Uo and Hana walked in, both hovering over Tohru like motherly figures. ?Are you sure? Cause I can go wake up the prince and orange-top if you want, I mean, it doesn't matter how deep they sleep I'll-? Tohru held up her hands frantically. ?No, no no, it's okay Uo, I can handle everything just fine, they usually wake up at 9:00 so I'll see them before I leave.? Hana smiled and hugged Tohru, ?Tohru, you really are a kind person.? Tohru smiled up at Hana. ?Oh and what is this? I must be dreaming, three attractive young girls in my house, and two of them are hugging.? The three girls' attention was drawn up to the top of the stairs, where Shigure was leaned against a wall smiling at them. Uo smirked ?Hey.? Hana released Tohru and nodded at Shigure. ?Oh, good morning Shigure, how did you sleep?? Shigure smiled, ?Ahh, you really are so sweet Tohru, always wondering about the reckless men rather than yourself! You're absence will be felt.? Uo raised an eyebrow ?Hmmm...? (Tohru:*Sweat drop* She just barely realized Shigure was wearing nothing but a towel.) ?What in the world are you wearing?...? Shigure looked shocked, and turned around to see Yuki. ?Oh, hahaha, well as you can see it's a towel.? Yuki frowned and shut his eyes tiredly. ?I can see that you stupid mutt, I meant why aren't you clothed?....? Shigure flailed his arms back and looked extremely hurt ?OHHH! Mutt! What a horrible word!? Shigure cowered away to his room ?That was very hurtful Yuki!? He said with a dramatic huff before disappearing through the doorway. (Tohru: ^_^;; ) (Hana: -_-) (Uo: O_o) Yuki noticed the three bystanders suddenly, and smiled. ?Oh, good morning.? He walked down the stairs. Uo walked up to him and looked at him meaningfully. Yuki got a bit nervous, and backed up slightly ?Uhm...Yes Miss Uotani?? ?If you're up, and the writer guy's up, then where's orange-top? He doesn't think he can do something as rude as sleep through Tohru's goodbye, and get away with it does he?? (Yuki: ^_^;; ) ?Uhm, well, he had to meet up with his old martial arts trainer today, but I'm sure he wouldn't be too late.? Yuki looked away from Uo's threatening gaze (Yuki: Maybe.....) Tohru smiled nervously, ?It's all right if he's late, I don't mind.? She suddenly stuck up her hand looking triumphant. ?Oh I have an idea for something we can all do before I have to head off.? She pulled a deck of cards out of a drawer. ?Rich Man, Poor Man!? Uo and Yuki smiled, ?All right! Let's go!? Uo said grabbing Yuki's shirt and pulling him over to a table. Hana smirked ?Yes, that's a fine idea...and maybe one game of Old Maid.? (Tohru: *Sweat drop*) Yuki raised an eyebrow as he shuffled the cards, ?Isn't that the game that Shigure and Kyou, amongst others, played all day with you and got sick?...? Hana smiled cooly. ?Yes, the day of the endurance run, and what a fine day that was.? Tohru smiled widely remembering. ?Yeah, and that was the day that Hatsuharu told me to call you Prince Yuki.? Yuki turned bright red and looked at her shyly. ?I remembered already, but now it seems as if it were yesterday.?

(1 hour and a half passes.)

Uo sighed. ?Ya know, it's 9:30 and I don't think orange-top's showing up, and we gotta get going to the train station soon.? Yuki glanced at Tohru, and noticed the sadness in her eyes at the mention of this, he frowned. 'Where are you stupid cat....' he thought angrily. He stood up ?Miss Honda?? Tohru looked up ?Huh?..? Yuki smiled. ?She's right, we have to get you to your train on time. Tohru smiled and nodded. ?I'll be right back.? She said before running upstairs and grabbing her two bags. Her heart was pounding, and her stomach was slightly sick. 'Kyou....I wanted to see him before I left....I....' She shook her thoughts off and ran downstairs.

After a whole lot of running, the four found their way to the train station, and Tohru saw her train approaching. She gulped, and turned to her friends. Hana and Uo both hugged her. ?You be careful, and if anyone messes with you, all you have to do is call me got it?? Tohru smiled at Uo, both of them teary eyed ?Got it!? She looked to Hana, who was shielding her face with her hand, but she removed it, and let everyone see she was crying. ?Sweet Tohru, stay in touch will you?? Tohru hugged Hana. ?Of course, I couldn't stop speaking to you two ever.? She then turned to Yuki, who looked as if he would cry, but was forcing himself not to. ?Tohru....I....? Tohru's eyes widened, then she smiled sweetly. ?You called me Tohru...Yuki.? She wished with all her heart that she could hug him, that he could transform and no one would care, but no, she wouldn't. Yuki smiled, and held his hand to the side of her face. ?Goodbye...? The tears finally fell down Tohru's cheeks and she nodded. ?Goodbye...? She finally turned away, and began walking towards the train. Right before getting in, she stopped and glanced back one last time. Her eyes widened when suddenly, she saw a boy running towards Yuki and the others. 'Orange hair....' ?Kyou!!? Kyou kept running even after he passed the group, his eyes fixed on Tohru. ?EVERYONE, PLEASE SEAT YOURSELVES, AND THE TRAIN WILL NOW BE LEAVING.? The intercom speakers boomed. Kyou reached out his hand and Tohru grabbed it. ?Toh-ru!? Kyou said through breaths. ?Kyou!? ?I WILL NOW ASK EVERYONE TO KINDLY STEP AWAY FROM THE DOORS AS THEY WILL BE CLOSING.? Tohru let go and stepped back, she got one last look at his crimson eyes. ?Tohru.....I'm sorry.? The doors shut, and the train began to slowly move. Tohru ran as fast as she could towards a window, and dropped all of her bags on the floor, she opened the window and leaned out slightly. ?I'll come back!!!? were the last words Kyou heard as the train sped off, he felt to one knee, finally letting his exhaustion kick in. ?I'll be waiting...?

Next chapter is really really limey, kinda adds to the angst i guess ^_^ I won't really be showing Tohru at the actual college, but i am planning on bringing some extra characters in to 'visit' her. Possibly a guy from college that liked her, then Kyou and Yuki have another reason to freak out.
