The pilots stood in front of a two story house thinking ~why the hell are we here~ the door opened and Relena stepped out and saw them but ignored them and greeted her other guests who happened to be the pilot?s girl friends and inwardly grinned when the pilots eagerly followed them inside. After hours of socializing and games each retired to a room with their girl. The pilots looked down at their respective girl with love in their eyes and a sense of contentment in their hearts as they reluctantly left their girl to talk to the others as they usually did.

They quietly left and dressed then headed down stairs to the back yard but stopped in shock with the others when they saw Relena dressed in jeans, blue shirt and a leather jacket her hair was up in a high ponytail and what shocked them was in her hand was a cigarette but before anyone could even move to talk to her someone stepped out of the shadows and Trowa was shocked to see his girl Dorothy walk up to her, ?Hey girl couldn?t sleep either??

They were shocked it sounded like they were close. Relena smiled gently, ?Nope you??

Dorothy shook her head, ?Do you ever wonder how the other girls can sleep without their man by their side. I honestly can?t sleep without Trowa beside me.?

The others looked at him shocked but the girls caught their attention again, ?They?re probably used to their guys leaving and they?re not as attached, too guarded.?

Dorothy nodded, ?Got another one?? Relena handed her the pack and Dorothy took one then Relena tossed her silver lighter and Dorothy lit up and made a face, ?Ugh you got the ones without nicotine again.?

Relena smiled, ?It?s not the nicotine you need to calm down just the act is soothing besides you don?t need to die of lung cancer. So spill no one?s around your secrete of being Trowa?s hunny is still safe.?

Dorothy laughed and Trowa felt his heart warm he had rarely heard her laugh. Dorothy smiled, ?Oh girl I missed you. You know phone conversations aren?t the same as our nightly ones. I love him, I honestly do he accepts me just like you. Only you accept me more, you know who I am and what I?ve been through and yet you never judge or try to change me and I love you for it. Relena laughed after she took a drag on her cigarette and the others realized they had never heard the two laugh or smile genuinely and Relena said, ?Deal. It?d be my honor to be your maid of honor we?d be keeping our pact just don?t keep the other half.?

Dorothy nodded, ?Do you think they?ll ever lose the bitterness and see it from a different perspective??

Relena took a drag, ?Maybe but you can?t make them. They need to let go of the pain and anger and then think back to the war but until they can do that they?ll lose a little bit of their soul to the war and that?s their own doing not a price the war took.?

Dorothy nodded, ?Ya do you ever wish you could go back and change anything? I know it caused us to be who we are but don?t you ever want to punch Maxwell for his hurtful words? I mean you lost more than what they know and you?re not bitter.?

Relena took a drag, ?No loss is loss Dorothy its how you react to it that?s different. You and I lost a lot so we know there?s no point in being bitter and angry because it doesn?t bring them back or heal the heart they need to learn that. I lost my brother but he died the way he wanted in a battle whether he actually got to fight didn?t matter to him he died in honor instead of hooked up to tubes and machines keeping him alive in suffering. Quatre wouldn?t listen though his heart is too big and weak he?s the heart of space he feels things deeply a little too deep that it puts stress on him maybe Catherine can get him to loosen up but I doubt it.?

Dorothy nodded, ?Ya I never felt anger or a need for revenge when I lost family at the bases that they attacked. Why do they??

Relena threw her cigarette down and stomped it then lit a new one, ?Honestly they don?t know how to react. Keeping angry and bitter gives them a shield against the world nothing touches them. Loss doesn?t hurt because they expect it.?

Dorothy nodded, ?But you?ve lost your parents both sets a brother and a niece and even more that I don?t know about and yet you still look at life like you always did, why? I want to help Trowa look at life from a better view.?

They have to. you could yell and scream at Trowa to forget the pain of his past even tell him about yours but until he lets it go it?s just air and wasted words. Relena shrugged, ?Nope. Hell I enjoy cleaning its soothing so is cooking and gardening. Now what do you want to do before our soldiers wake up of course I think if Trowa saw you in an apron he might actually make a reaction.?

They went inside after crushing their cigarettes. The group stood shocked that the two girls they believed were spoiled and had no idea about life knew more than they did. They heard laughing and went inside and saw Relena cracking eggs into a pan laughing as Dorothy sat on a stool, ?Honestly I was bored so I painted his nails he wasn?t happy when he woke up but it matched his shirt I removed it though so he was ok. I swear I need to hide his turtlenecks they hide all those muscles at least Yuy wears clothes that reveal his awesome body.?

Relena laughed, ?True but his body isn?t for you to ogle that?s Trowa, Heero?s is for Noventa.?

Relena sighed, ?I got a week of work yet so after my week is done I?ll deal with that because that?s when the trial begins then I don?t know.?

Relena shook her head, ?No he?s with Noventa there?s no need for him to enact revenge. He doesn?t need to kill not any more.? She moved to put toast in the toaster.

Dorothy snorted, ?Keep telling yourself that and maybe you?ll actually believe it.?

Relena leaned against the counter and rested her head in her hands, ?Burn the paper Dorothy I don?t need them knowing anything that will lay on their soul.?

Dorothy nodded, ?Ok.?

She took the paper and a lighter and lit the fireplace then tossed the paper in it and watched it burn with anger and hate in her eyes. Once it was gone she let it died out and went back into the kitchen and saw Relena in the same position and sighed, ?It?s burned and the toast stopped. You sure you?re ok??

Relena shook her head trying to stall the tears she felt were fighting to break through and asked, ?How can one picture just tear down all the strength I recovered??

Dorothy sighed, ?I don?t know but I?m here to help you grasp it again just like you were there for me. He can?t touch you and this is finally what you?ve always wanted. That bastard will pay.?

Relena turned to Dorothy pain in her eyes, ?Look at me he?s won? I?m shaking like a fucking leaf, I?m pale as Casper?s girlfriend and I feel like I want to lock myself in my room and hide in a corner. He?s won just like he always has.?

Dorothy shook her head, ?No he hasn?t because you haven?t. You haven?t locked yourself in your room to hide in a corner you haven?t drowned yourself in a bottle of alcohol. You?re stronger than I was. Don?t let him win, during the trial just say your testimony and look him in the eye and you?ll have won because you?re not hiding behind fear.?

Relena nodded, ?Fine. I?m not hungry and I don?t feel like dealing with Noventa or anyone, I?ll be outside if you need me. Let them fix their own drinks I just need some air. I promise I?ll lean on you later they leave after breakfast.?

Dorothy nodded, ?I?ll save you some so Maxwell can?t eat it all cause I know you can?t get anything down past the lump or into to your stomach but it?ll settle.?

Relena hugged her, ?Thanks you?re the best mon ami.? (My friend)

Dorothy smiled, ?And don?t you forget it girl. Go relax.?

Relena left and Dorothy sighed, ?Dieu je demande que vous donnez ma force d'ami.? (God I ask for you to give my friend strength)

The others watched as Heero went to talk to Relena and they walked into the kitchen and sat down Dorothy opened her mouth to say something but couldn?t find her tongue and Trowa pulled her close and kissed her, ?I love you Dorothy and whenever you?re ready to tell me in person all you told Relena I?ll wait.?

Dorothy stuttered in shock, ?Y-you heard e-everything??

Trowa nodded, ?Ya I?m so sorry I never took the time to understand you or learn about you but whenever you want I?m ready.?

Duo nodded, ?Ya I?m sorry for judging her she never did that. Can you tell us what just happened? I promise we won?t judge or condemn.?

Relena came in before Dorothy could say anything glaring at Heero who followed in a faster pace trying to catch the angry princess, ?You arrogant self-absorbed jerk! You are with Noventa go be her white knight I have no need for one!?

Heero ignored her, ?Who hurt you??

Relena glared, ?No one I have no idea what you?re talking about don?t you have some mission to complete??

Heero?s eyes narrowed, ?I thought you could see past my ice into my soul and I was more than a machine??

Relena?s eyes darkened, ?You were eavesdropping! That was a private conversation with my best friend! I don?t listen to you talking with your pilots I did think you could return that respect but I guess I just don?t deserve it huh??

Heero felt anger and shouted, ?KNOCK IT OFF RELENA STOP TURNING MY WORDS AROUND ON ME I LOVE YOU! I WANT TO PROTECT YOU NOT BECAUSE YOU?RE WEAK OR A PRINCESS AND I'M YOUR KNIGHT BUT BECAUSE I LOVE YOU AND WANT TO HONOR AND PROTECT YOU! NOW CUT THE BULL SHIT AND ATTITUDE! LET ME THE FUCK IN!?

Relena and the others were shocked and so was Heero for he had showed emotion, anger but it was still an emotion. Relena sighed, ?Fine you probably heard the stuff too from the kitchen a man who abused me is going to trial and my testimony will help the sentencing so he?ll be out of my life permanently.?

Dorothy left the others in the kitchen and they followed she saw Relena standing in front of Heero who was breathing hard from letting his emotions show and Relena turned to her to ask how much should she reveal and Dorothy nodded to let her know she should tell all.

Relena sighed and looked down, ?He was my husband.? Everyone was shocked and Wufei felt a sense of anger at the bastard who had dishonored the sanctity of marriage and injustice that was done to Relena.

Heero felt his anger diminish at how scared and frail she looked and felt a need to comfort so he walked over to her and felt his heart break when she flinched but then relaxed and finally sobbed into his chest he pulled her down with him as he knelt on the floor and just held her soothing her with nonsense words that just poured out without any thought.

Trowa wrapped his arms around Dorothy. Heero looked up at Dorothy who nodded telling him the same had happened to her and Trowa?s arms tightened around her trying to protect her and show how much he loved her no matter her past.

Wufei couldn?t control his anger at the two bastards, ?The injustice bastards hurting two onnas their own wives! Something needs to be done!

Dorothy sighed, ?It was all of mine went to jail and died there now its Lena?s turn to be free.?

Catherine looked at her, ?Wait all mine does that mean this happened before??

Dorothy shrugged but Trowa spun her and looked into her eyes and saw the truth and pulled her close, ?Oh my love I?m so sorry I wasn?t there.?

Heero looked down at his heart and noticed she was asleep. He asked softly so as not to wake Relena but with a sternness in his voice wanting to know if she had been put through this before as well and wouldn?t accept lies Dorothy sighed, ?Ya this wasn?t the first time.?

Heero pulled his sleeping angel closer, ?How??

Dorothy felt tired and Trowa swept her into his arms and sat with her on the sofa while Heero picked up his angel and was afraid she?d wake but she only snuggled closer and he sat in a chair while the others followed suit on the other furniture and Dorothy sighed, ?We were betrothed but we both had different thoughts about it and our men only wanted us for politics and power. I had been abused physically by my grand father she was abused verbally by her adopted parents and no matter how much she wants to down play Mr. Dorlian?s abuse it was still bad. During the war we went from one husband to the next then she was told she was a Peacecraft and my grandfather died setting me free.?
