Hm.... now something feels very wrong... who played that tape over the phone to Relena..? Normally I would say Dorothy did it, because she seems to be the most likely candidate to throw a wrench in anyone's carefully crafted plans. However... something tells me Pagan may have something to do with this. But.... how did he get a tape of that conversation?? Since im typing so much of my current thoughts on who and how did what happen, this chapter is pretty damn good. Keep it up!

I loved Heero and Relena's interaction in this chapter and how he seemed to open up to her. About damn time if you ask me.

Sorry for the late reply. Thanks so much for the comment about Heero and Rel's interaction. He's gradually learning, but it's going to take a major setback to get through to him, unfortunately...

I will be waiting for the next chappie... I need to know (although I know my expectations will be met since you love happy endings) how they will work things out and how exactly Relena will face Heero once they see each other again.

Awww come on. I feel like Ron Howard, now. We always know Ron Howard movies end up happy. It takes away some of the suspense.

The scenes with Heero and Relena were excellent.
Wonderful.

The scene with WuFei and Heero was funny. As was the "search and give-Zechs-a-seizure squad" line.

What Relena heard may have indeed been Heero's original motivation, but things have changed much since then.

Thanks so much Wingnut! And you're right, things have changed as far as Heero's feelings are concerned, but as long as he's denying it...what chance is there that their marriage would work? I think he'd be hard pressed not to do exactly what Relena accused him of - slink back into being her guard most of the time.

As for your Trowa abuse... Heh, I think I'm going to go hide, now. Heh heh heh.

i'm soooo glad relena finally finds out about Heero's aparent reason for marriage.

Not a reaction I expected from anyone...

don't get me wrong, i want Heero and Relena to end up together but it has to be mutual. so far, Heero hasn't confess (or admited) his love for Relena, just his disturbing (but totally sweet) motivation for protecting her AT ALL COST.

i want him to say it. as in VOCALLY. but most of all i want him to suffer before that.

i also feel sorry for Trowa. i know that unrequited love should not be an excuse for illicit sex with other women, but i can't help but love him.

I haven't been able to figure out whether he's trying to dilute the pain of unrequited love with a myriad of loveless unions with other women, or if it's more of a he's afraid to commit, so he's fixated on the one woman he knows he can't have. I think it's a combination of both, but in the end, it's the same. He's in love with her. He knows she'll never love him back. The fact that he subconsciously picked her because it prevents him from having to commit to anyone doesn't really matter in terms of the pain or motivation. And I do love Trowa, too.

Trowa: Now, if only Relena would love me.

i want Heero to know what it feels like if he looses Relena....maybe to Trowa (who now solemnly converted to Monogamy).

i want him to suffer and feel like his heat is being shred to pieces, then poured with hydrochloric acid, then poked with an ice-pick, then fed to the piranhas(sp?)... *evil cackle*... but seriously, i want him to feel exactly like that.

Thanks! Pagan had only a very very small part in the overall deal. I would say he's involved, but he's not the one that played it over the phone to Relena.
