The sweat poured down my body making the bed sheets stick to me. It was the same nightmare that I've had for the past two weeks. I struggled to catch my breath and ease my mind. Using my hand and wiping the sweat dripping down my face, I wondered why the dreams kept coming back. The little girl and her dog. It was an accident yet, I still can't even forgive myself.

I soon heard crying coming from the room across the hall. It's 4:00am...right on time. I look down at the sleeping blonde next to me. Good, she hasn't waken up yet. I put my feet on the floor and take awhile to let coldness of the floor suck in.

She stopped crying once she was in my arms. She always did. Only two people in the whole world had the power to do that. Me and my wife. I started bouncing her up and down slowly trying to rock her back to sleep. She looked just like me except she had natural blonde highlights in her brown hair. She had great big purssian blue eyes that would make any killer stop and aw. I should know, it happened to me.

I suddenly remembered my dream. I looked at the little two month old as she looked back at me with her eyes. I couldn't help but smile and bend down to kiss her forehead.

"I promise, to protect you from anything life throws at you. I'll be there for you as you take your first steps and even after I die. I promise to do everything I can so you can have the best of life. For you and your mommy." I whispered as her eyes soon gave away and went to sleep.

I felt the presence of someone else watching as I turned towards the door. Relena stood there smiling and I swear I saw a tear drip down her face. She walked over to me and leaned on my shoulder as she sang to our creation her favorite lullaby. I soon felt her soft heart beat against my bare chest. She was something that changed my life forever.

I carefully put her back in her crib and walked back to the bed. I tried my best to go back to sleep but the memories kept popping up in my head. I was starting to sweat again. Relena put her hand on my chest and rubbed it as she kissed me trying to get me to calm down.

"Heero, are you having those dreams again?"

I nodded still a little bit shaky. She moved up closer to me and put her head on my shoulder.

"We all have something to run away from but the more we run, the worse it becomes. We both know it was an accident but your not telling yourself that." She said into my ear.

I closed my eyes and said something that was always so hard for me to say.

"I'm sorry. For everything. For the people I have killed. For their family's and friends. I'm sorry." I whispered but I couldn't help myself but cry.

Relena held on to me as I asked for my forgiveness. She was always like that, and I loved it.

"Relena, I love you. You are the reason why I am here today. Never would I have thought that I would be married and have a little baby girl. Thank you."

She cried and I held her tight as I drifted off to sleep. I don't remember much after that but I can say this. I never had those nightmare's again.

I like it, its okay. But theres not much realistic details, only some saps. Thats all I want to say, but I would like to add that its cute too. And i hope Heero gets over his bad dream, but I still think after the war he wouldn't act that way. Still, it's your story, .
