UPDATE - Additions/News

FYI, I spent the money contributed over the last few weeks + my own to purchase some new software that Adaon will be adding to the site. These are mostly ADDITIONS, and may involve the relocation of the Gallery to a new portion of the site. It also has some new features, including the ability to add your own links to a Links page, and the biggest thing is an articles interface - the ability to add news articles or possibly 'columns' to the website's main page.

Violetfairychild is also continuing her work to revise the "original archive" section of the website where I hope to move all the static html content and old stories into a new, searchable interface and fully integrate both portions of the site (articles/forums + 1xR shrine). These guys (Adaon and Vi) know more of the techie details than I, but that's the general gist....

A special thank you to everyone who has contributed, to Adaon, and Vi for all their assistance.

In other news, I have a confession to make: I have a standard that says "Because I pay for this site" (and basic cost to run the site is $59/month + my time and effort - which I donate for free), "my values should be 'the right ones'".

That may or may not be fair. It irritates me in some ways to see people spouting off their opinions that contradict mine, knowing that I'm paying to display their obviously WRONG perspectives.

It's not one of my more generous moments. I still ALLOW it, but it's irked me in the far recesses of my mind (on the rare chance I got to stop long enough to be irked about it, which is kinda rare). So, what I'd like to do is poise a new solution of sorts....

If my opinion isn't THE RIGHT one, then no offense, neither is yours. Voice your opinion, voice it as such, and don't try to argue that someone else's opinion is wrong. And the end result is, we'll all still have the same opinions we came here with (cuz, let's face it, that wasn't going to change) , and no one will leave here upset and frustrated because their opinion wasn't respected or because someone else told them they were wrong.

Hear the words "my opinion is..." when someone says something that is contrary to what you believe and not "you are wrong because...".

Is that a deal?

I know, it's something I have to work on as well.
