Very Many Little Things
Day Two?Still
Heero tried to focus. His head was spinning. He could feel her hands on him, on his chest. Touching, teasing. She was enjoying this. He couldn?t do anything. He couldn?t move. He couldn?t speak. He couldn?t resist. He could only listen to the throbbing in his head and feel the throbbing in his groin.
She was taunting him, too. ?It?s alright, Heero, we?re alone now. You don?t have to be afraid to touch me??
Boy did he want to. From the moment he saw her when she walked in, he knew he?d lost. Two days. He only lasted a measly two days. And it?s not like his hangover helped him any.
He felt her lips press into his neck, her hands gliding down his chest. She pulled his tucked shirt out and ran her hands underneath it, massaging his skin. He wasn?t going to make it. He couldn?t stop her. He was completely at her mercy and dammit, he didn?t care. He wanted her and he was tired of not being able to have her. They were husband and wife. They were supposed to do this.
He reached up and began removing her jacket, deciding to just ignore his hangover and please his wife. That?s what he always did. He ignored everything he wanted in order to please her first. That?s just the way it was. She was always the first thing on his mind. The most important thing.
Little sirens started sounding in his head. If she?s the most important thing to you, then why are you giving in? Why aren?t you doing what?s best for her? Heero tried to ignore the annoying thoughts but failed. What if someone breaks into her pretty little house, huh? What if she gets killed? And all because you couldn?t keep your pants on.
He was angry now. Did he really just say that to himself? But he knew that little voice was right. He was right. She couldn?t have what she wanted. And unfortunately, neither could he. Not yet.
?Relena,? he said, barely recognizing his own voice, ?Relena, stop.?
?Mmm, I don?t think so,? she said, running her tongue along his chest where she had undone his shirt. He did his best to ignore it, resisting the urge to groan.
?Relena, you just said yourself that you?re busy today. Your schedule?s full. We can?t do this here. There?s no time.?
?There?s plenty of time,? she said, making her way back up to his face and kissing him on the lips. ?We?re locked in, remember? We can?t get out.?
He smirked at her. ?I can get us out.?
?How??
Heero slithered out of her grasp and moved away from her, redoing his shirt and tucking it back in. He walked over to the door and stood there for a moment, then delivered a hard, swift kick next to the handle and the door swung open, banging against the wall.
He turned around to see her gaping at him. ?You could have gotten out the whole time?!? He smirked at her. ?I can?t believe you! Why didn?t you just say so! Oh wait, I know! Because you wanted me just as much as I want you! Well, relax, Heero, I?m too pissed off to seduce you right now. If you won?t admit defeat then I?ll just have to beat you when we?re alone and you can?t get away!? She stomped toward the door and turned to head back to her office. She didn?t stop to look at him as she left, but stuck her chin up in defiance as she walked. He could hear her stomping down the hall as he exited the closet.
?I?m guessing their first plan didn?t work, then,?
Heero recognized Trowa?s voice and turned around to see him leaning against the wall.
?Have you been there the whole time??
?No. I was just on my way to let you out,? he said, glancing past Heero to where Relena had just disappeared from view. ?How did you manage to get away??
Heero paused. ?Priorities.?
?I see.?
A knowing look passed between them and Trowa motioned for Heero to follow him. Heero did so without a word, ready to begin his first plan.
It won?t be long now, Relena.
Relena was just about to her office when she realized she?d left her jacket in the closet when she left. Of all the things going on right now, that just put a topper on her pissy mood. If anyone messed with her right now, she seriously felt sorry for them.
I thought for sure that I?d won, she thought on her way back to the closet. I was so sure it was over.
She reached the end of the hallway and turned, fuming. As she came around the corner she crashed into something?someone?and almost fell backwards. At this, she exploded.
?Who the hell do you think you are! You can?t just go running around here! There are people working here constantly to maintain peace and order for YOU and you just go tromping around like you own the place and-? she stopped, finally recognizing the face she was yelling at. Her mouth fell open, then closed, then fell open again.
The guy from the department store.
?You?here?how??? she stuttered, confused. ?Why??
?I came to see?? he stopped, his eyes full of laughter as he looked her over. ??you.?
She perked up. ?Me??
?Well, yeah. I wanted to see you. I-I recognized you at the department store yesterday and I knew that you would be here because of?because of who you are, and everything.?
She found herself wanting to smile. Silly man. Didn?t he know what Heero would do to him if he saw them right now?
Hmm. I wonder just what Heero would do?
She moved up closer to him, fighting the urge to tell him off for coming to see her without invitation. ?Well, you?re here, you see me. Now what?? She spoke in a voice that was particularly flirty. She gave him her brightest smile and quirked an eyebrow at him. There was no harm in just flirting. It?s not like this guy could actually compare to Heero. They weren?t even on the same level.
For Relena, there was only Heero.
?I was thinking that, maybe, we could go get a cup of coffee together, but it looks like you?re busy-?
?No, not at all!? she interrupted. ?I?d love to.?
?Are you sure that-? he looked around, ?that?s it?s ok? I mean, your husband seemed kind of upset yesterday when I said you should by the-?
?How did you know I was married?? she interrupted again.
?You?re wedding was huge. Don?t you remember? It was broadcast all over Earth and space.?
She blushed, embarrassed about forgetting the magnitude of her very public wedding. ?Oh, right. I guess I did forget.?
He put a hand on her shoulder. She fought the urge to slap it away. ?It?s alright. You were probably just caught up in the moment. It?s understandable.?
She thought back to her wedding day. It was very chaotic that morning, but when she walked down the aisle, when she walked to the alter where Heero was waiting for her, everything else just slipped away. She never even heard the priest until Heero nudged her to get her attention.
Coming back to the present, she remembered the current dilemma in her life with Heero. She put all her energy into maintaining her smile, trying not to be disgusted by this man. He was attractive, yes. But he wasn?t Heero. Anyone other than Heero who showed an interest in her was immediately disgusting in her eyes. She couldn?t explain it. All she knew was that if it wasn?t Heero touching her, she didn?t want to be touched. That?s just the way she felt.
?When would you like to go?? she asked.
?Now?s good. No time like the present.?
No time like the present. Hm.
?How true,? she said with a smile, taking his arm. They turned and headed toward the building?s exit, her jacket completely forgotten.
A few blocks away, Heero suddenly stopped walking.
?Heero?? Trowa asked. ?What?s wrong??
Heero stared ahead at the people walking by them on the sidewalk, apparently lost in thought. Finally he spoke.
?I know what to do,? he said. ?I know what she wants.?
Trowa didn?t bother to hide his confusion. ?What do you mean??
Heero slowly turned around, his eyes filled with something Trowa recognized every time he looked in the mirror.
?Trowa,? Heero said, sounding breathless. ?She?s pregnant.?
?
?What??
