A New Beginning

Post by xoxo »

Author?s Notes: prequel to One Sweet Day [which happens to be unfinished]. During the time I?ve been away, putting my fanfiction on hiatus, I think I?ve matured not only as a growing person, but as a writer as well. Therefore, many of my fanfics are undergoing major revisions? especially One Sweet Day. *bows in apology* Those who have already been waiting, I am extremely sorry. But I promise you, the wait will be worth it.

Aside from that, I?d like to bring to your attention that: 1/ Dorothy?s eyes are emerald green, and 2/ she does not have those cockroach eyebrows.

Disclaimer: do not own jackshiii?yeah, you know the deal. X]

On with the story?

A New Beginning
-Chapter 1: Leaving-

?Relena, are you ready?? a blonde asked in a hushed tone. In her hands she held 2 tickets, as well as a single baggage.

The VFM nodded, placing a piece of paper on the nearby table. ?Yes, Dorothy,? she murmured, bending down to pick up her own bag. ?I am??

?Good, I am too? Shall we go now?? Not needing any reply, for the question was self-explanatory, the two females left swiftly; no turning back.

Relena looked out the window once more before lift off.

She knew she?d miss home, and everyone else left behind. But this was what she wanted, what she had chosen to do. And at least she had a trustworthy companion by her side.

?Thank you, Dorothy?for arranging all this. I owe you a great deal,? Relena turned to her friend.

?Think nothing of it, Relena. However?are you sure you want to leave like this?? Dorothy inquired, uncertain.

The honey-blonde beside Dorothy nodded, without any hesitation. ?Yes, I am positive. I feel so deprived of so much? Peace has already been maintained, so there?s no need for me to be in office anymore. But even if I resign, it would still be difficult for me to have a normal life-I?m 17 for heaven?s sake!?

Dorothy understood. ?We both are,? she stated.

?This is the only way,? Relena continued. ?I must disappear for a while??

?As will I,? Dorothy said, getting comfortable in her seat.

Relena began to feel guilty. ?I?m sorry, Dorothy? did you not want to accompany me on this trip??

Dorothy chuckled. ?Just the opposite, actually? Tell me, Relena, do you know how it feels like to feel like a criminal??

Relena shook her head ?no.?

?Well, that?s how I feel. Exactly how I feel. Like a criminal. Dirty and Evil.?

?But that?s not so!? exclaimed Relena. ?I assure you, Dorothy, if you were such a villain, I wouldn?t have formed such a close friendship with you.?

Dorohy shruggd. ?But that?s just you, Relena. Your opinion does matter, yes, but everyone else does not think the same of me. They treat me different? Although, I don?t entirely blame them. It?s understandable??

?People change,? Relena reasoned.

?And people still doubt,? Dorothy countered.

To that, Relena sighed in silent defeat. Dorothy really should?ve gone into politics. For sure.

?Well, I suppose its London for both of us, then? Relena concluded.

Dorothy gave a quick nod, and relaxed once again in her seat. ?And from that point, we?ll see where fate leads us?? She laughed. ?Sounds like a forbidden adventure, doesn?t it Relena??

Relena smiled and joined in her light laughter.

~*~

?She?s gone,? Milliardo stated. ?Relena is gone.?

?And so is Dorothy,? Lucrezia pointed out. Upon finding the hasty note, Milliardo immediately presented the case to Preventers? HQ.

?Their leave was purely out of free-will,? Une remarked shortly.

?It seems they don?t want to be found,? Sally added.

At that point, Milliardo knew what they were trying to say. He didn?t let either of them finish. ?I don?t give a damn! I want her found!?

?There is no need for screaming, Zechs,? Heero said from the corner of the room.

Milliardo narrowed his eyes. ?As her bodyguard, you should?ve been able to stop her. Find her, Yuy,? he ordered. And without another word, the older Peacecraft left.

?Hn,? was all Heero could say, as the other women present in the room sighed. Left on the office desk was the paper. It read:

We?ve left. Please don?t go bother looking for us. We?ll return? one day. Goodbye.

~R&D

Goodbye? the word echoed repeatedly in the Perfect Soldier?s mind.

~Silversong
Tomorrow shall be my dancing day
I would my true love did so chance
To see the legend of my play
To call my true love to my dance
Sing O my love, O my love, my love, my love
This have I done for my true love!

Going forwards is just fine. It''s when I go backwards that I start to have problems. ~Panic
