Chapter 5

Roxanne walked to the window and saw the cloud of smoke. She smiled in comfort of the thought that Heero succeeded. She strolled over to the tv and she brushed her finger along the on button and the tv to life.

Tv reporter: ?Repeating our news bulletin, at lest twenty people are dead and more bodies are being recovered. Government officials are saying there is still a chance that Queen Peacecraft survived despite a news camera showing that she was shot before the collapse.?

Roxanne: ?He collapsed the building? Wow.?

Reporter: ?We now bring you live coverage of what has been called Ground Zero.?

The tv showed the destruction caused by the three assassins. Roxanne leaned forward and studied the destruction carefully.

Reporter: ?As you can see, the building has completely collapsed and destroyed the Justice Center. Now we told you before that the man who shot the Queen was found dead in a nearby building. Now, we have a report from the medical examiners saying the man was killed by yet, another sniper.? A police officer put on latex gloves and picked up a gun and said, ?This is the weapon that was found at the scene of the crime. The man was aiming at someone when he was killed. We can tell that-? The officer turned the gun so the camera could see the scope, ?because this is where he was hit.?

Roxanne: ?Dear god, Heero, how could you?? She picked up the phone and called Amanda, but got no answer. She stood to her feet and redialed again? no answer. She dropped the phone and starred in shock. ?Heero, you bastard.? She whispered.

Everything was spinning, sirens and machinery sounds echo and distort as the fog and haze started to clear.

The first thing that came into view was Relena. She was unconscious, surrounded by debris. Heero came to her side and held her up. Her eyes cracked open and she looked around. Through a hazy voice, she said, ?Where am I?? She examined the face of the man who was holding her in is arms. Relena: ?Heero??

Heero: ?We have to go.? Relena: ?What?? Heero picked Relena up and took off down an ally. Heero: ?If we go to a hospital, they?ll probably kill you.? Relena: ?Who?s they??

Heero carried Relena for another five blocks before finding refuge in a run-down warehouse. He didn?t know what was going on. Why did he do that?

Why did he hold back?

Why did he betray the Family?

Why did he betray Roxanne?

Why did he protect Relena?

Why?

In any case, Roxanne will do whatever it takes to kill Heero, or die trying. Dieing never mattered to Heero, but Relena would die as well. Heero can?t let that happen. He won?t let that happen. Bloody Roxy will never hurt her.

Ever.

The smoke has cleared, for the most part. Small fires fill the area, and armed guards swarm the streets looking for the other assassin. Out of the ashes, Amanda stumbles into the street. She stops, and drops on her knees catching her breath.

?You!? Shouted some distant voice. Amanda looked up and saw a man wearing heavy body armor and a gun to match the appearance. Guard: ?Put your hands on your head!? Another guard ran up to her pointing his gun at her.

Amanda smiles and stands up.

Guard: ?Get down on your knees, now!?

Amanda pulls out her guns slowly and aims them at the guards.

Guard: ?Drop your weapons!?

Amanda: ?Alright, I?ll throw them away?

She switches aim with her guns by crossing her arms and fires killing the two guards. She runs down the ally tracking Heero. As she runs through the allies, hatred drives her towards Relena?s direction. ?Run all you like. Hell itself can?t stop me.?

yes, iam and i luv it luvitluvitluvit!!!!! but ur driving me crazy with how short the chapters are.....ggggrrrrrr......besides that little bump its absolutly marvolous ((i cant spell ignore them please))

Ya I know they're short, I'll see what I can do. My compy screwed up, so it'll be a little longer. Anyway, thanks, I appreciate everybody's comments.
