Don?t you find it depressing that humanity has sunk to such a shitty level of intelligence and morality? I mean, there?s no creativity in anything anymore, no one thinks for themselves, and everybody tries to be anyone but themselves. No one has a sense of morals anymore, I mean; people shoot other people for a mere twenty dollars in their pockets. Kids are having kids at twelve or thirteen years old, and kids who don?t even know how to wipe their own ass are totting guns in school as if their part of the fucking NRA.
It?s all so sad.
I?ve been saying this for the past year. All you humans are like monkeys with machetes. You people can?t even properly utilize the technology you?ve created. You create the car so you race around in a circle five hundred times, that?s just stupid. You create the computer and the internet, the ultimate resource tool, and all you people do is look up porn and watch cartoons.
Hey? wait a sec? I love those internet cartoons? and I love porn...
Do you ever wonder what the meaning of life is? The meaning of life is to know yourself.

I saw that episode of Nuerotically Yours, and I'll say what I said then: DUH!!!!!!!!! I realized this when I was 10! I had to take an Ethics course this semmester and to quote my roomie "I'm debating ethics with people who have no idea what they're talking about!"
I think the main problem is that we victimize EVERYONE! "Oh, the poor guy on death row! He shouldn't die! Never mind the fact that he murdered 20 PEOPLE!!!!" I come from DC, aka "land of lawsuits" and you wouldn't believe what people can get away with. No one is held responsible for their actions. It's not our fault, blame the saturday morning cartoons, or the parents, home condition, how the other kids treated us; anything but our actual decisions. God forbid we consider people capable of making their own choices!
And another thing! What's with all this "If it feels right..." crap? Since when were emotions a good measuring tool for the moral rightness of something? Have you met a moody person? They change opinions every 5 seconds! Psychologists have a name for people who do whatever feels right at the time- it's called a psychopath.
Well glad that's out.

Seriously though, I can't believe the crap people get away with. Here in Canada, we have a jail we call Club Fed. Why? Because when the murderers get sent there, they live in cottages, play golf, whale watch, have pizza parties etc. Is that fair to those of us who pay our taxes and never break the law?
One of our most vile convicts (Karla Homolika) has had birthday parties in jail (with pics that made the paper and everything), carried on a relationship with her lesbian lover with the tatic approval of the jail, gotten a university degree on the taxpayers dime etc. What did she do you ask? Not much. Just drugged, raped and killed her sister as well as at least two other teenage girls with her (now)ex-husband. She only got 12 years for all that by the way. She is due to be released in 2005, I think, after serving all her 12 years as part of the sweetheart deal she got.
Modern society is sick and spinning into a downward spiral, fast. I don't believe this will stop until people can take responsibilty for their actions once again. Unfortunately, I don't see this happening anytime soon. We have such potential that it's a damn shame what we don't do with it.
