Sorry about that.

It sent it and I didn't realize it...Quatre honestly thought Relena was going to murder him?! That was funny...what an interesting plot - having them get married and then try to fall in love with each other. Personally, I like Relena paired with Heero, but after that, I think she would love Quatre. More 4xR, please?

I can't remember how many times I have re-read this piece. I have always found the image of 4+R cute. Definitely one of my favorites although my first priority of course is 1+R.

Some things puzzle me though and I have tried to come up with my own answers. One, Quatre wasn't in love with Relena before, he just made the proposal because it was a good business proposition. Awww, here I was thinking wistfully how nice it would be for him to carry a little torch for her.

Two, how come he said those 3 sweet words to her, because he felt she wanted to hear 'em (empathy) or good timing. I remember reading that the night before, he admitted he was beyond thinking of her as his sister but it seemed to me that it wasn't as if he was in love with her...or was it love which developed from sibling love (urhm?). Then its my understanding that the night after they stood on the window, he just ups and says "I love you" to her? hmmm.....

Hmph, although a lemon would have been fun, I definitely liked the way the author described Quatre's feelings after they *cough* consummated their union

A funny and sweet fic. I wish there are more 4+R fics like these.

Hi, I thought I'd try and answer some of your questions.

I think Quatre and Relena had a certain affinity before hand, but I wouldn't call it love. In essence, it really was just a business transaction.

As for why he ends up saying "I love you," I suppose it would be odd to think of it as the kind of "endless devotion" type of love. This piece really was an attempt to "patch up the fairy tale," so to speak, meaning that love can be hot and heavy but it can be really slow and subtle, too, and maybe a little bit backwards. When Quatre says "I love you," my intent had been for it to signal the change from platonic to romantic, not for it to be a sort of confession. That was all that Relena really needed and I think Quatre, being as sensitive and as perceptive as he is, would understand that.

To date, I still think this is one of my best pieces and I'm so happy to hear that you liked it and took the time to give such a thoughtful review. Thanks so much!

Heyyy I think I saw this on ff.net! Hehe, I do love this shot at a 4xR, though. It's one of my favorites.

Oh, this is lovely!! I remember reading this some time ago, and not in this forum, but I am glad to see that you have decided to post it here. One of the few 4xR fics out there which are truly amazing. Not only is the plot endearing, but your writing style has captured Rel and Quatr precfectly, though I think Rel was little too bold for her own goodness. She scared our poor little Quatre with her sexual advances!!

"She was right: sex?ll do it." Oh God, this was just the most perfect sentence I have ever read in a fic, and it fit the story perfectly. Amazing!!

I am still in a state of euphoria. need to drink some water and fan myself. Great job here!
