Notes: I did my first FMA ficlet and I got inspired to do a Une fic. I based this off of wallpaper I have of Une during EW. Takes off a little of my Une POV songfic, Hands. Oh yeah, the name is Anne Une.

Trowa POV


Its Saturday, a beautiful day for playing a game or enjoying the sunshine. I'm sitting at my desk in my home office, trying to finish up some work. However, I can't help but think of her, or more specifically her eyes.

I love her eyes. They are a deep chocolate brown with two flecks of gold in each eye. Her eyes are usually closed off but when they are open, you can see to the depths of her soul. There is a lingering pain that you can see all of the time though.

She is still paying for her sins, I can tell. But then, so am I. But unlike me, she still has more that she can give. I am a shell of a man in many ways; I don't have a connection to any family except for Catherine and we will never be able to find out anymore about our family. Heero has searched for us already and even he couldn't find anything. I am missing memories for six years of my life. But I feel like it cannot compare to her.

The lives I shattered as a Gundam pilot still haunt me but I have the excuse of saying I was doing it for a good cause. Anne still struggles with her involvement in OZ. When she is at her lowest point, it?s the only thing I can see in her soul. That?s why she puts so much effort into the Preventers. No matter how much I tell her that she doesn't have to live her life to atone for the past, she doesn't listen. However, it doesn't bother me as much as it used to.

Her eyes used to have so much pain and guilt. She was guilty for outliving Treize and Mariemaia's existence gave her a hidden pain of knowing the man she loved also had a child that he never took the time to tell her about. I used to want to resurrect Treize and punch him for that. But I understand that Treize was in many ways an open and charismatic man but he was also deeply flawed and private in other regards. I know he'll always have a place in Anne's heart.

Despite all of that, what attracted me to Anne is her caring. Despite all of her problems, Anne genuinely cares for everyone. She reached out to me when all I wanted was to be left alone with the bottle and my memories. I saw in her eyes someone who truly cared for even when I wanted to drink the rest of my life away. There was something in her that made me want to live a normal life. It took me a good two years to realize I was in love with her, two years to convince her.

That reminds me... I love her stubbornness. She is the most stubborn person in the ESUN outside of Relena Darlian. Once she puts her mind to something, she gets it done. She gets that steely look in her eyes that reminds me a little of Colonel Une. Sometimes it?s a little shocking but I've become used to it.

She is one of the most complex people I have ever met and I love her. I fell for her eyes at first but now, I love her for being her. As I decide to finish up this report, I just think, what would I do without her? I don't want to ever have to deal with that.
