Heero never knew what happened to Relena after their 'reunion' at the Barton's. He wondered if she was al right but his mind kept telling him to just forget about her. She is getting married in 4 weeks.
He swore to him self that if Blake Adams ever hurt him, he make him pay.
Relena was at the ballroom. Her honey blonde hair was left out with to stray braids down the side of her head, finishing with 2 sky blue ribbons that matches her dress. Her gown was strapless and showed her great curves and slim body. Every guy that walked passed her would stare and eventually walk into a wall. Blake saw this so he put a protective hand on Relena's arm, this however, annoyed Relena as last weeks incident had made Relena very pissed off at Blake.
Heero walked closer to Relena and his heart sank as he saw the familiar smile covered by a frown. Blake gripped her tightly as they walked over to his friends. His fingers traced around the ring that he bought Relena, determined to win her back with the diamond. Relena wrinkled her nose…how dare he tried to but back my love and pretend nothing has happened. Relena saw a glimpse of dark, Prussian eyes and smiled to her self. So he did turn up after all... She walked closer to him and saw, to her relieves that the others had turned up too.
"Relena are you ok,"
"Did he hurt you at all?"
"Iria told us all about it, why didn't you tell us sooner?"
Relena was covered by questions and concern looks her friends were giving her and she felt really grateful that she had friends like them
Blake approached them and put his arm on her bare shoulder. "You don't have to keep an eye on me everywhere I go you know, unless you think I might flirt with my girl friends." Relena said coldly. Blake smirked and squeezed her shoulder;"Well we don't want what happed last week to replay itself, now do we." Relena blinked at the pain"but you need not to worry, my sweet, every thing is under control.
"What do you mean?"
"Well after the wedding I have made arrangements to move to France."
Relena's eyes widened with fear, "you're separating me from my friends?"
"It’s the only way I know you'll be mine."
"How could you," Relena whispered as she walked away, her gown swishing behind her. She felt tears of anger and fears build up in her eyes, she wanted to get out of her, as soon as possible.
"You be mine and mine alone…" Blake smirked as he took a sip of his wine "for ever.
Tears began to run freely down Relena's face, "if I move to France, I would be alone with that monster…"she shuddered,"and I just can't stand that. Plus I'll never get to see Miliardo or my friends ever again…and they mean a lot to me…and I will never see…Heero again…" The strange emotion that has been sealed up in her heart was beginning to come back to life…she had never felt like this about Blake…is it Heero??? I've got to get out of here…away from Blake. She began to run as she distantly saw Blake coming this way.
Crash…" oh I'm so sorry…I wasn't watching where I was going and I just…. I " Relena looked up and saw a lock of brown hair covering the deep blue eyes…Heero.
"Hi uh…Heero sorry I bumped into you…I wasn't watching…so glad to see that you’re here.." heat began to enter Relena's cheeks and she found herself to shocked to say anything else.
"Relena, are you alright, he better not had done anything to you, " Heero said seriously
"When I got home, he just started yelling and he won't stop, then he pretend nothing has ever happened and he started buying me back with jewellery. Heero shot a glance at Blake who was making his way to the pair. "Heero, do you want to dance?"
"Relena," Heero hissed,"I don't want to put you in any more trouble."
"Oh come on Heero, I'm so sick of him,what are you too scared?" She wore a teasing smile.
Heero felt himself blushing but smiled as Relena put her arm around Him and rested her head on the crook of his neck. He put his arms around her slim waist and took a deep breath.
"Sorry to interrupt but the guest is waiting for our speech, Relena, " Blake said as the pair broke apart.
"You know what Blake, maybe this time I could do what I want to do, not just obeying you're every commands. Well I'll see you later Blake…C'mon Heero lets go." Relena pulled Heero's hand as they ran out of the ball room. The guests were looking at the pair then their sight flew back to the outraged Blake. "GET THEM!!" he screamed as he ran out of the ballroom.
"C'mon Heero, he is "catching up to us."
"you think that I'm slow, well check this out" Heero swung the laughing Relena into his arms and ran into the garden.
"Mater Adams I think they went this way."
"We'll check the garden"
"Don't worry sir we'll wind them"
Blake looked at his surroundings and cursed. Sweat tinkled down his forehead and he wiped it away with his cuffs. Nearby, well hidden in a bush near Blake, Heero and Relena lay silent, both waiting for Blake to ran off into another directions. They held their breath as Blake came nearer.
" I'll get you Heero Yuy, you will not get away from me, you'll regret that you ever messed with me!"he threw a punch at the apparently empty bush and his fist had just missed Relena's forehead.
Relena screamed, but her scream was drowned by Heero's lips onto hers, his tongue sliding into her mouth. Eyes widened in shock, Relena suddenly knew what was happening, and she pulled his head closer and deepened their kiss. Breaking away for air, Heero smiled at Relena, a sudden frown came across Relena's features.
"I haven't had this must excitement in …3 years. Why did you leave me Heero…is it because you hate me?"
"Relena, I had to leave…" He spoke quietly, "I don't want you to be with someone that doesn't deserve you. I'm not like Quatre who recite poetry and send flowers to you every day. I'm not Duo, i can't make you laugh and cheer you up. I'm not Trowa, who can act on his emotions and fix up many problems, I'm not Wufei who will comment you everyday and say you're strong and honourable.
I am me, Heero Yuy, a soldier without emotions. I can't express my love as well as they can so you deserve more."
He bowed his head in shame. Relena lifted his head and kissed him tenderly.
"you're you and that’s what I like. I won't leave you just because you're not like others, I love you from within and that will never change.'
He leaned forward and gave her a long, love filled kiss. "I guess we better go back."
He breathed against her lips. He gently pulled her into his protective arms. They worked back hand in hand, knowing that they don't have to hide anything any more.

"Blake," Relena said sweetly "I want to talk to you. I'm so sorry that things didn't work out for the two of us, maybe if you weren't so envious all the time, things would have got better, but I am sick of being your prize. The prize that you won and show off to your friends, here." She took off her ring and put it in his hands. "goodbye."
Heero took her hand and they walked out.
"Wait, you are not getting away that easily." Blake spat.
"Just knock it off, buddy" Duo said. Blake saw him self-staring at the violet eyes of Duo Maxwell.
"there are plenty more fishes in the sea…just let it go…she's not turning back."
Duo and the others walked off leaving Blake with his ring. He stared at it and clenched his fist.
"I hate you!!" He threw the ring out of the window.
Heero and Relena stared at the now crying young man. Heero's grip tightened on Relena as he felt her tense. They walked out and Heero gently brushed his lips across hers. She smiled and looked at him, things are going to get better, now that she is with the man she loved.
