Strength to Live

Death lurks around corners
But I will not give in.
I will hold strong
And live until the end.

I am not perfect
I have my restraints
But they can't hold me back
Or keep me from living life.

Because I found strength
Strength in friends,
In Family, and promise
I found strength to live...in them.

It's kinda a more simple poem but it's rather expressive and you can understand the point you're trying to make. I rather enjoyed it.
