Eh, I'm not sure WHY this is happening, but at about 6a this morning, the forum software decided to no longer connect to the mail server...

Or, rather, the mail server decided not to let the forum software connect to it. O_o

So. COINCIDENTALLY, our webhost was installing a fire wall and took down the servers around the same time. Hubby's guess is that they've blocked a port, but so far.... I put in a support ticket at around 5:30p today, after performing surgery on the database. Apparently, see, when people were replying, they were getting error messages - error 111, cannot connect to mail server. The post was still being written to the database, 4 and 5 times, but wasn't showing up in the list of replies, nor notfiying anyone that a reply was made. So, I went in and did lots of fixie, and disabled the software's desire to TRY to connect to the mail server - while we're waiting for it to be fixed.

In the meantime, you should be able to post and reply without any problem. I need to go fix some user accounts. I've enabled the ability to see email addresses on file, if the member chose to permit people to see it, so instead of PM-ing, if you want, you can email them directly.

If you registered for an account today, I'm going to go activate you since you probably didn't get your activation email.
