FAKE (poem)

This is MINE. If you want to put it up somewhere or copy it onto another place please ask me first. One of my other poems was just found a little while ago after it to was stolen. I mean it people, go find your own talent! :evil: (Sorry for the little rant, it still pisses me off)



FAKE

Wake up at five
Primp for an hour
put on her make up
maybe they won't see the scars

Run into mother
hear the lecture
can't help but think
how much you hate her

Go to school
put up the mask
and hope to god
this day will be better then the last

Talk to the friends
that you can't stand
hear them gossip and whisper
try to look better

Go to class
be the perfect angel
remember not to curse
and they'll believe this front

Meet up with the boyfriend
you don't know
you smile and laugh
pretend to care

Go home
run to the bathroom
take down the mask
no time for that

Slave over homework
as you scream at your father
cover up your laziness child
or they will know your secret

Climb into bed
forget to pray
your mind is running away

You can't help to think
of how fake you are
like the little rag-doll
stoic-faced and all

Your not the nice, pretty girl
your messed up inside
the voices talk to you

The bigger you smile
The more you want to rip off their heads
You could careless
Just want to puncher their body with lead

But you can't do it
and we all know that
and tomorrow will be the same
same as the last

I really like it. I totally have those days- I especially related to the "lectures from your mother" part. Great poem.

I post most of mine on FictionPress.com and they never get reviewed... so I was kind of iffy on the fact of posting them here or not because I wasn't sure if anyone who like them...

Yeah. FictionPress.com hasn't hit it big with comments either... but nicely done on this one, you get the point across quite well. The section I could relate to the most would be "mother's lectures" and the "forget to pray."
