Midii Une glared daggers at Nikol.
"Well I thought you'd be here," Nikol said bitingly.
"You thought right," Midii snarled.'
"What are you doing here Nikol?" Sylvia demanded.
"Does it really matter?" Midii snapped.
The Midii on the ground groaned, gaining Sally, Relena and Hilde's attention. They hurried over and Sally quickly began examining her. Suddenly Midii's eyes cracked open and she coughed. Sally quickly helped her sit up.
"It's alright Midii," Sally said. "You're safe now."
Midii's features darkened as she took in the sight of the other Midii glaring at Nikol, Slyvia Noventa with her hand on her gun and Nikol laughing. With blinding speed, Midii jumped to her feet and grabbed her own gun, pushing the barrel to Nikol's temple before anyone could stop her. Nikol turned his head slightly and looked at Midii carefully out of the corner of his eye.
"Tell them to drop their weapons," Midii hissed. "Now."
"You heard her, drop them," Nikol snarled. The weapons fell to the ground with a clatter.
"All of them."
The guardsreluctantly fished out their hidden weapons and dropped them as well. The rest of the pilots took their positions around the the guards and trained their own weapons on them. Lady Une strode foward and slapped Nikol like a misbehaving child.
"I expected better, you shame Trieze," she said bitingly and quickly put handcuffs on the man. But Nikol had one last trick up his sleeve. Midii was thrown clean but Lady Une was hit when Nikol blew up the small bomb he had on himself.
Lady Une fell dead as Midii hit the floor and looked back horrified.
"No!" Mariemaia cried and ran foward, hugging Lady Une's limp body. Dorothy's eyes were wide and Hilde had her face buried in Duo's shoulder.
Midii walked over to the other Midii. Their eyes locked and the Midii who was called Nim nodded at her.
"You need medical attention," she said.
"Hn."

Relena turned at the sound of that noise--that tauntingly familiar noise.
"I'm seeing doubles and it's confusing me," Duo cried. "The mission's over can we all assume regular forms?"
Relena swallowed as Midii touched both her eyes and the sky blue darkened to Prussian blue. Sleek blond curls were cast away to reveal tousled brown hair. Finally the beautiful face of Midii Une was pulled off to reveal the even more handsome one of Heero Yuy. He pulled off the black strip on his neck and cleared his throat.
"I'm guessing a few of you would like an explanation," Duo said looking from Relena to a livid Dorothy.
"We recieved word of Nikol's plot about two months prior to my 'death'," Heero began. "Around the same time Midii Une re-appeared. My 'death' by suicide was both believable and the most effective way to go undercover. Midii Une willingly stayed and guarded the Gundams while I posed as her--" Heero paused to give Duo the Death Glare "To infiltrate Nikol. My dead body was a fake and had to be removed before the autopsy because otherwise I would have been discovered."
"I can't beleive you dressed up as a girl," Duo laughed, then froze. "Forget that, why is Trowa making out with that chick?!"
Everyone followed Trowa's gaze to see him and Midii indeed kissing rather passionately. Duo's jaw was on the ground. A wretched sob drew them back to reality. Relena had her arms around Mariemaia and was rocking the girl slowly as she sobbed by Lady Une's body.
"I need to check Mariemaia for injuries," Sally said softly. Relena gently pushed the girl back so Sally could check her over. She checked over Relena as well and pronounced that physically they were both fine.
"Now for you!" Sally stood up and marched over to Heero. "You are getting medical attention by myself and then you are going to follow my advice or I'm sure Duo has some very interesting pictures that people would love to get their hands on!"
With that, Sally pushed Heero out of the room. Relena looked up as Heero passed by, then quickly averted her eyes and turned her attention back to Mariemaia.
A few days later Heero Yuy walked out of the hospital without a word to anyone.

EPILOUGE
They buried Lady Une in a grand ceremony fit for a queen. The Gundams were standing tall and proud, guarding the funeral. Hundreds of supporters and preventers came in a sea of black to show their mourning for her. Millardo had offered his empty grave next to Triezes and they used it for Lady Une, putting her to rest next to her beloved.
Trowa stood up front, his eyes somber. Next to him was his finance Midii and their young soon-to-be-adopted-daughter Mariemaia. Duo was by them with Hilde, her eyes filled with tears. Sally and Wulfie looked at the woman who they (even Wulfie) had begrugingly respected. Quatre stood with his head bowed, mourning the passing of Lady Une in his own private way. Standing tall and upright was Dorothy who looked every inch the head of Colonie Intelegence.
Relena stood a bit off to the side, a little unsure of what to feel. Yes Lady Une was dead, but so much had happened between Relena and Lady Une that it was impossible to really summarize it into one feeling. As Quatre made his speech followed by Dorothy, Relena still couldn't figure out what she was feeling. She simply stared at the coffin being lowered, being buried--until Relena was left stared at a plot of freshly dug soil.
"I owe you an apology."
Relena closed her eyes and turned slightly, not opening them. She didn't need to open them to know who it was.
"You owe me nothing," she said smoothly.
"Well I apologize--I should have told you and I wish I had."
Relena turned around to see Heero standing behind her, his brown hair being blown in the harsh wind. He was wearing a black suit but carrying a gun. Relena looked at him, a bit puzzled.
"Preventer," he said.
Relena nodded.
"Head Preventer."
Relena stared at him. Him? Head of the Preventer Agency? That was impossible--rediculous. That involved paperwork, not field work--he couldn't be serious.
"I decided to try the other side of fighting," he said.
"So you're staying?" Relena asked heasitantly.
"Yes."
"Not as anything else I hope," she said smiling wyrly and recieving a Death Glare in return.
"No."
Relena walked foward until she ws in front of Heero.
"You didn't have to tell me about posing as Midii Une, I understand it would have comprimised the mission."
Heero nodded.
"However," Relena said sternly. "For future missions, a note or a clue or something would be nice! Just so I wouldn't have to worry myself silly over whether or not you're alive!"
"I thought I told you," Heero began sternly, then his tone softened slightly.
"I'm going to be part of tommorow."
