*Can Beta-read 2 Fics Most Weekends*

Post by TigerQueen »

Okay...I don't know how many people out there need beta readers, as most of the ads up right now already have replies or requested personal replies. If anyone out there needs a beta reader, I derive strange pleasure from polishing other people's work. Don't ask. :-P

I'm in college -- only a freshman, but it's a pretty damn good school, if I do say so myself. :D And I mean PRETTY DAMN GOOD. It's not bragging if I don't say what school it is, right? Lol...I love my school. Even though I'm the most boring one here...one problem being that I'm still not comfortable telling people that I write for the internet. :eek: "Hobbies?" "Well, I, uh...used to play the piano...used to be in chorus...and...I have a job?" Anyway, I WAS going to be an English major, but I fell in love with Linguistics, instead. Besides, I really prefer writing freestyle to writing essays. I still love editing, though. I guess it's because I don't have to go through the pain of writing the essay/story/whatever; I just get to take some credit for its exquisite beauty when it's done. :lol:

Warning: I tend to be pretty picky when editing ANYTHING. I may make stylistic comments, instead of just picking out typos. If you really don't want me to say anything *sigh* I'll live, but please let me help! I'll be completely understanding if you don't want to act on anything I say (except for typos, of course) -- I know that this is your baby and I'm not a child molester. Molestor. Gah...my major flaw is that I can't spell...thank God for spellcheck (God, Bill Gates, Mr. Spellcheck Designer...same thing).

So...if you ever want someone to look over a fic (weekends only, please -- school + part time job = extreme sleep deprivation), just ask! -- TQ
"In the clearing stands a Boxer,
And a fighter by his trade,
And he carries the reminders
Of every glove that laid him low
Or cut him 'till he cried out
In his anger and his shame;
I am leaving, I am leaving,
But the fighter still remains."
"The Boxer," Simon & Garfunkel
