Chapter two- Descent into Madness
The fallen king looked on to the four armies, his eyes bearing no emotion, just a tired look. Men behind him motionless, jaws opened as they stared upon their doom approaching on all corners, their blades still held out, preparing to fight to the last breath. Then, silence crept through the fields, the armies stopping each in succession until all four are as motionless as the fallen king and his handful of men.
Each army parted in between quickly, giving passage each to a rider from four sides, the armies closing once more upon the riders reaching the fronts of them. Each rider moved down from their horses, first from behind the fallen king, a gigantic figure, the plates upon his armor crashing with each other, his walking heard through the silence of the fields, making one wonder how his horse could have carried him.
To the right of the fallen king, a feminine figure moved forth, her movements as graceful as any dancer in Gaea, maybe even more graceful, but bearing a breath of command, her eyes unsure as she looked upon the small group, barely enough to be even called a small army. The fallen king remained motionless.
To the left, another figure of a woman, though this one was a bit more? ?jumpy? in lack of a better term, moving as if filled with energy, seeming to skip as she moved towards the fallen king, laughing softly, audibly enough for only the handful of men to hear.
Up front, a grim figure moved forward, his eyes directly upon the fallen king, a smile forming on his lips, his hand resting upon the hilt of his blade. The fallen king remained silent, his sword held unsheathed but not in a stance.
Each of the four settled a few steps from the handful of men, the one up front speaking first, ?So? this is the rumored nameless legion, the legion that swept of an entire army that greatly outnumbered them. How interesting.?
The gigantic figure laughed, his voice echoing through the fields just as his steps, ?This boy? How stupid can you be? It?s just an unconfirmed rumor.?
?Let?s just leave them alone.? The graceful figure spoke, shaking her head slowly.
?Yeah, leave them alone.? The gigantic figure continued, his laugh still echoing through the open fields, ?They?re not worth fighting.?
The banner bearing the symbol of the wolf fluttered upon the back of the fallen king, his voice though only audible enough for the four to hear bore with it a commanding force, ?If your purpose is to leave us be, then leave. We are too tired to kill you today.?
?Hmm?? The ?jumpy? woman held her chin for a moment, ?I have my eye on their captain.? Moving her gaze to the graceful figure, smiling slightly, ?I have first claim on him.?
The graceful figure frowned, and then shook her head once more, the only voice of reason that remained, ?Fine, if you wish to decimate them, just leave me to watch. I will have no part of this.?
The gigantic figure?s voice turned serious, ?His wings give him an advantage?? He smiled to himself, ?This will be interesting.?
The fallen king quickly turned, remaining wordless, he pierced his sword to the ground, grabbing hold of his wings, and he frowned, ripping them off from his back, throwing each wing to the side.
?SENSEI!? A girl screamed as she started to move towards her teacher, her eyes starting to well up with tears.
?What is it?? The teacher looked upon the girl, shifting his glasses up a bit.
?It?s Hitomi! She?? The girl?s voice trailed off as she looked behind her upon a short haired girl, bending into a ball as she lay upon the floor, her arms wrapped around her and reaching her back, seeming like something was torn from there.
?Van?? The name of the fallen king escaped the young girl?s lips as she held her eyes tightly closed, moaning softly in pain.
She remained upon the floor, her soft voice uttering his name, tears beginning to fall from her eyes.
It seemed almost impossible, insanity in a way. The fallen king stood as if not bothered by his act, his back slowly bleeding as all men who stood notice contained a confused stare upon him. He threw what remained of his wings upon the sides, taking in a deep breath as if receiving an epiphany, his eyes slightly closed as he took off his torn shirt.
Taking the blade pierced upon the ground, he raised its point towards the gigantic figure, a sadistic smile playing on his lips as he whispered, ?Not so interesting now, eh??
The gigantic form tried to hide his surprise by lifting his axe, letting it clash with his armor, sparks flying through the air, a smile upon his lips.
The fallen king moved his blade to the side, crouching slightly then running towards his opponent, his voice trailing behind him, shaking the souls of friend and foe alike, ?Now, Face Me!?
The gigantic figure shouted upon the sky, moving the axe high up, he charged towards his assailant, his voice echoing through the horizon as the sun almost reached the top of the mountains. It was almost deciphered who the victor would be, he who was well rested and uninjured while the fallen king, bleeding not only from torn wings but from a previous battle, just hours ago had been finished.
The impossible seemed to occur as the fallen king charged with renewed spirit, his form cascaded of sprays of red seeming to follow him, their crimson color splashing upon the ground. His blade, dulled from days on end of fighting shone like the stars, reflecting the sun?s light.
The clashing of steel to steel seemed endless, the sounds of metal banging against each other heard by every person, keeping close watch. Upon the death of the fallen king, the armies were sure to charge and destroy the remains of a small legion. If not, then it was unsure what was to be done.
Each clash only brought more bloodlust to the eyes of the fallen king, sparks flying with every strike on armor and axe. The gigantic figure, though powerful could do nothing but falter back upon every attack, his arms weakening from blocking.
Then, one clash, and the fallen king was flying through the air, only a few steps from the gigantic figure. He fell to the ground yet still was pushed further away by the force, though he fell unto his feet. No sooner had he stopped, he stood up and lifted his blade on his side, charging once more for one strike. It fell true, the blade pushing through the armor upon the gigantic figure?s head, its body convulsing as its head was cut uncleanly from his head, the hind part of his head still sticking out from his neck.
With a large crash, the figure fell, the fallen king standing, breathing heavily, raising his bloodstained blade to the air, his men preparing arms and quickly moving to him, if death was their fate this day, then let it not wait.
Another charge was called, the handful of men moving towards the darkness of the opposing army, shouting wildly upon the sky, the other three armies staring in silent awe, the graceful figure clapping softly at the duel.
And through it all, a crimson gem glowed faintly, hanging upon the fallen king?s neck?

Never Alone (P1 of 3, 2/9)
A man is not a man until he has accessed his raw untamed energy and takes pleasure to his capacity to fight and defend himself. Only then can he transform his blind rage into power to commit himself, to handle tensions and to make difficult decisions. Inner security also develops. It is based on his realization that whatever goes wrong, he can get help from his inner resources, from the basic energy of his aggression.
