A Wolf's Tender Kiss (R)

Post by amateur_storyteller »

Based on a Halloween Challenge, but I’m not following the rules. The challenge just gave me the push needed towards writing a GW story. This is just a teaser for the story I’m working on. This story is something I’m working on as a stress reliever in-between work and class and rest, so politeness is appreciated. I’m writing it at night and so I might make some mistakes, but when I have more time I’ll try to go over each chapter before future postings and revise chapters already posted.

Title: A Wolf’s Tender Kiss.
Pairings: 1XR (Why? Quite simply because I like the pairing.)
Rating: R (Sexuality, but no sex).
By: amateur_storyteller
Disclaimer: I don’t own Gundam Wing or any of it’s characters.
Summary: Heero is a werewolf. Relena his intended victim. But complications arise
when their first encounter turns out to be more then either ever imagined possible.
Additional Warnings:
-- Halloween Flavored, so it -is- a little chilling at first.
-- Adult situations. Please if you can’t handle sexuality and violence and mention of blood, please don’t read this story.
---If I decide to included them, I might pair up: 3X4, 2XHilde, and 5XSally. The only pairing I’m completely decided on is Heero and Relena.
Version: .50

Prologue.

1940

The night was unusually dark with the moon hidden behind the gray storm clouds. Walking alone Heero Yuy pulled his coat tighter around himself and tried his best to think warmer thoughts, but could not. At the age of twenty-three he worked as a bodyguard to Ms. Wendy Crenshaw, a sixty year old widow with as a great a wealth of enemies as money. She was the reason he found himself walking the streets on a night he would have rather stayed at home keeping warm by the fire. She had insisted that he walk to the town and pick up her "heart medication" from a rather shady character that referred to himself as the Good Doctor. Heero had flat out refused, at first, reminding her that his position was as her -- bodyguard -- not nursemaid, but with her continuous insistence that she needed her treatment before the first rays of the sun touched the horizon, he finally gave in, and made his way out the door. He muttered insults about the "Good Doctor", he had the displeasure of meeting once before, to himself, while shaking his head at the old woman's foolishness. I really do need a new job. He thought with a snort.

As he passed by the cemetery gates he was compelled into silence by the sound of whispers coming from inside. He paused and listened as the voices rose and then abruptly silenced. A chill went down his back and he turned his head around, his eyes automatically scanning the streets and darting to every darker corner he found -- Nothing.

With a satisfied sigh he turned and scanned the visible area from the gates. Again nothing out of the ordinary. He shook his head ready to dismiss the voices he heard as his imagination, when the clouds above parted and the full moon lite the scene. His sharp gasp was quite audible when he made eye-contact with a wild-eyed man crouched on all
fours. He took a defensive step back as the man's bloody mouth lifted in a gruesome smile. Heero starred at the prone body infront of the man, then at the man, before turning away and taking off in a run. He got as far as the street before he felt a weight on his back, then heard a sharp crack as his head hit the pavement and then...nothing.

Chapter 1.

60 years later...

Heero howled at the white moon as he felt his change occur. His skin burned as it stretched and the sound of bones being snapped, as they moved into a new location and elongated, filled the night air, from the clearing he was in. He smirked and threw his head back, as if in ecstasy, and howled again, feeling the pounding of an animal's awareness beat inside his veins. When the change had finally ended, a creature with the posture and mind of a man, and features and strength of a wolf, stood panting heavily. Cocking his head to the side he extended his earring to the sounds around him. A half mile away a cat had just caught a bird -- He snorted in annoyance at the silly house broken creature. He strained his hearing again -- Ah, there -- a couple, three-quarter miles from his location, were going at it at a furious pace. He smirked and licked his lips at the thought of feasting on their extremely heated bodies. He turned his head and began to walk in that direction when the soft sound of humming reached his ears. He paused and turned in the direction it was coming from, standing completely still he listened. Sweet. He thought with a relaxed sigh. He dismissed his previous plans and took off on the new direction, thinking to himself, how lucky he was to find something so pure awake at this time of night. The beast smiled as he bounded quickly through the woods, hoping he would be feasting on a virgin's tender flesh and fear by the night's end.

Chapter 2.

Relena Darlian smiled as the cold air kissed her over-heated cheeks, relieving them of the uncomfortable heat brought on by her fever. Pulling the door shut behind her, she stepped out into the garden of her family’s comfortable summer cabin. Following tradition, the Darlians came to Germany during the summertime - exactly three weeks before Relena was sent back to school - to visit the place of her paternal grandmother’s birth.

She leaned back on the stone bench and faced the dark, star-filled sky. Her golden-brown hair slipped over the stone edge and blew precariously in the wind. Her slender legs were bent; her shoeless feet griping the stone edge, to fit her adult body on the small bench. She looked up at the full moon and let a dreamer’s sigh escape her parted lips. Once, ten years before, she had sneaked out into the moonlight for the same reason as now -- to bask in it’s soft beauty. She kept her gaze on the moon and began humming, imagining she was dancing on the moon with her dream lover. She soon was lulled into sleep.

Chapter 3.

Heero stopped short of the fenced-in garden, his greedy eyes taking in the unconscious form. He thought of how greatly he would love to slash open the beautiful creature’s neck and drink his fill of her rich blood. On all-fours he leapt over the fence and landed on the stone clearing. Looking at her, he admired the glowing of her pink cheeks, her smiling lips, and the utter innocence of her pose, as she curled from the slight wind. He grinned and decided to forgo his normal chase, for as much as he loved a good hunt before his meal, he loathed the thought of ruining his memory of her with the image of her horror upon seeing his monstrous form.

Bending down to her neck, he inhaled her scent and feeling naughty, licked it; he felt something stirring within his chest at the sound of her feminine giggle. He paused as her slender arm rose, curling around his neck, and pulled his confused form closer. Her eyes were still closed and he heard her mumbling silly boy as she nuzzled her face into his fur covered one. Amused, he watched her body squirming away from the bench and towards him; she would have fallen off the bench, had it not been for his arms securing her form. He looked down at her, feeling the human and wolf within him warring over what to do now. The man in him felt in irrational moment of compassion for her and wanted to push her away before his beastly counterpart regained dominance of his body, while the wolf within him was torn between devouring her and thoughts of turning her into his mate so her could bury himself into her heat.

Heero groaned, shaking his head. Soon the hunger within him ended any passing thoughts he had of skipping his meal. He had no use for a lifemate, he thought, a mate would require patience and fidelity he would not offer. He lowered his face again, intend of ripping into it brutally, to punish her, and put an end to his irrational musings. He head turned towards the doorway, however, when his sharp ears picked up the sound of growling and scratching and pounding. He looked at the German Shepard barking at him; his agitated movement telling Heero to get away from the girl; his barking communicating that she was of his pack, and under his protection. Heero growled back, turning back to the girl only to find her blinking at him; he watched as her pupils dilated, and was surprised when a foot connected painfully with his chest. She fell to the ground with a soft curse. He growled again, smirking deviously at the fallen girl, as he advanced on her.

Chapter 4.

He stood inches from her, and extended his hand towards her. The girl trembled; her mouth opened and closed wordlessly, as Heero tilted her neck towards the side. He had seen such a reaction dozens of times before; while some people screamed, as death approached them, some begged, others froze, while a minor few, lashed out. No matter their reaction, however, in the end, all his victims had met with death, either by his sharp teeth or his claws.

“No” He heard her whimper, her voice trembling as much as her body, as she attempted to cringe away from him. Annoyed, more at himself -- for the prolonged pain he would now be forced to inflect upon her, rather than what would have felt more like a tender kiss, in comparison -- than with her struggling, he gripped her tighter, his elongated, paw-like fingers, digging into her thin skin. His teeth sank into her neck; and he savored some of her hot blood, his eyes rolling-back in pleasure, before he sunk his teeth deeper and nibbled on her flesh.

“No!” He heard her scream this time, and he was surprised to feel her small hands grip his arm and successfully break his hold on her shoulders. He pulled back to find her eyes glowing hatefully at him. He snarled, angrily deciding he had wasted his pity on this ungrateful person. Fine, he thought, let her suffer. His mouth latched onto her neck, and he bit her again. He pulled back, however, as soon as her blood filled his mouth. He coughed, and his stomach was hit with a cold pain. What? What are you? He wanted to ask her, but could not, for all she could hear from him, were growls. She stepped back, her wide, blue eyes momentarily locking onto his, before she ducked beneath his arms and darted away. He made a clumsy swipe for her, but missed; he walked a few steps in her direction, before waves of nausea caused the beast to collapse.

Chapter 5.

From his position on the ground, he heard the sound of the door opening and shutting. What is happening. He thought. Great going, wolf-boy, you somehow fucked up. Just how did you manage to fuck up? The wolf in him questioned. It was really illogical. The man agreed with himself. The door slammed. Heero weakly looked up; moving to the side, he barely avoided the open jaws of the large dog, that leapt on him. He swung, his mouth opening in pain, as the dog bite his shoulder; after a few seconds, he managed to toss the dog across the yard. But it quickly got up, its canine mouth quirked into what humans would recognize as a cold smirk. Barking the dog addressed Heero: stupid half-man, i told you. she is under my protection. you cannot harm those from her human pack. you feel it don’t you? you tasted the bittertaste of old magic. i warn you, leave now!

What is she? Heero growled back, in the language of canines. He felt weak, and it irritated him, because just minutes before, he had been supernaturally strong.

The dog didn’t answer; instead it tensed into what Heero knew was a strike position.

Her blood, it changed! It became poisonous- intolerable, why! Moments before her blood tasted like the sweetest nectar - now, a poison. How? Is she a wiccian, or a sorceress? She did not smell of magic, so what is she? Heero demanded.

leave! Was the answer.

Heero circled the dog, but his mind was on the girl. She had been so beautiful, so touchable; but, he now discovered, unattainable. He had sensed her pureness of flesh, and she carried not the slightest scent of another on her body, which meant there wasn’t a favorable explanation for her mysterious blood. Unless, what had been said about old magic was true, and if it was, than he was lucky to have not drunk more blood. Heero had never hunted a human that carried enough potent magical blood in their veins before, but the master-of-the-pack, the one whom turned him into a werewolf, had years before cautioned him against it. Those whom carried ancient blood in their veins, tended to unknowingly be able to call upon it during times of danger. Their ancestral incantation were forgotten, in exchange for all the convenience of modern living, but the power still lay dormant inside their bodies.

You smell normal, Heero sniffed in the dog’s direction, but you are more than a dog; you spoke of being her guardian, are you? Do you cloak yourself behind the face of a dog? Heero gritted his teeth; he felt angered for his current disabling sickness, and cheated out, of what he was sure, could have been a most delicious dinner. He was beginning to recover his strength, but all the nausea had yet to be purged from his stomach.

no more. leave.

Heero smirked. “But I’m still hungry.” He said; leaping he quickly pinned the dog to the ground. “You’ll do.”

His victim could no more than whimper in surprise, before Heero snapped it’s neck and quickly, and quite messily, devoured it.

Chapter 6.

Anna Maria Darlian, Nana, as Relena calls her, was sixty-nine years old -- the longest living member of the family in over ten decades. While that age, to some, might seem unimpressive, to the members of the Darlian family, it was a grand gift. This was true because of the tragedy that befell the family-line twenty-decades prior -- William Darlian murdered his fianc?e, in a fit of jealous rage, after finding her in bed with his eldest brother. When the night’s madness came to light with the following morning’s dawn, the eldest brother was cast out of the family, never again to return, as punishment for his betrayal towards his kin. And all the evidence against William was burned, by order of his frantic parents. As for William, he fled Europe.-- At this point, no one in the family knows what precisely happened after, just that the fianc?e’s body was never returned to her home, and that the girl’s family was told she runaway with the older brother. It is whispered, amongst the elders in the family line, however, that the slain girl’s mother, disbelieving of what was said about her daughter, continuously made unfruitful inquiries to the Darlians about her mysterious disappearance. She then, sought a new path to the answers she wanted; she found it. Through bribing two of the Darlian family’s servants, whom had watched as the family buried the girl’s remains, she found out the fate of her only daughter. She vowed revenge; it came three weeks later, when the Darlians woke up to the sound of shouting. It is said she sold a piece of her soul to a demon, in-exchange for the powerful spell she used to curse the family. Since that year, all born a Darlian, die before their fortieth birthday. While those whom become a Darlian, through other means, meet with tragic ends by their seventy-fifth year.

"Sometimes I wish I could go back to being five again, where the most difficult decision I had to make was whether I colored the flower red or blue. Back to when my brothers and I would stay out all day playing cops and robbers or cowboys and Indians. Back to when life was easy and carefree. But that would mean a life when I didn’t know you. I don’t think I’d like that too much."

EEK! I need to delete this fic and start again! I like the idea, but I caught so many freaking mistakes re-reading it. It did, however, give me an idea for a story I'm working on for school though, which helps since I'm been having blanks about the assignment from the day I read it.
