This may be a silly question, but I'm kind of new and I'm confused: My avatar doesn't work half the time. Most of the time I just get a broken link. Is there some sort of step I'm missing, or are there certain requirements for the webpage the avatar is on? Help, please!

What's the link, let me look at it. Sometimes, people add avatars from a geocities site or something like that which doesn't allow remote loading.

Which means that you can't load something onto a geocities account and access it from a website outside of geocities.

Actually, it was off of a geocities site, which would explain everything. I'll just have to find another one off of a different site. Thanks!

Ok, yeah this is reviveing an old thread, but for very good reason.
I have located a site that is perfect for loading up avatars and other small picture files for use anywhere, such as forums like these.
It is http://irev.net/avatar Just register and start uploading your pic files. All types are accepted. jpegs, gifs, pngs, the works. Although I advise aginst useing bitmap files as a general rule as they can often be excessively large.
