when i was younger and plagued with the hiccups, my mom used to actually MAKE me take a spoon full of sugar. I realize the phrase is "a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down," but apparently it helps the hiccups go away too. but, that may have just been me.

I doubt you still need the help, but my favorite way of getting rid of hiccups is holding my breathe a certain way. It's hard to describe.

Slowly, breathe in, then stop WITHOUT closing off your throat. So you're basically holding your breathe without suppressing your lungs.

Just hold it for about and minute or two, taking slow breathes when you need to.

The "1xR" thing doesn't really bother me. I'm used to it. I'm just really glad that I learned what it meant. I got tired of trying to solve the value of "R" because no matter what, it would till be "R". Everyone just looked at me weird.

And Sovereign of Silence, which one am I answering? I'm confused. The best way to get money fast is selling organs or blood on the black market. Did you know you can sell half ofyour liver, and the other half will grow back? That's how I got the upgrade on Wing Zero.

Miroku... I have no idea what you're talking about.

whoever had the hiccups problem, take three gulps of water upside down, or where you're leaning forward while you're drinking, it works for me anyways.

Well, I obviously no longer have the hiccups. Thank you one and all for your advice as it was much appreciated. Luckily they just went away on their own. ^_^

New question: Is it wrong to be giddy like a school girl over a PC game to the point you're hugging it as if it were a Trowa plushie?

Wicked: Haha, no. Or at least I have to say that for my own sanity. When I get a new Final Fantasy game, man do I act like a hyperactive freak! And there's really nothing wrong with getting excited about hugging a Trowa plushie! ^_~

It all depends on which PC game. Although I'm not a video game person, I did play a demo of half-life and really enjoyed it. Although it was too easy in my opinion.

And whoever was talking about the Final Fantasy game, I read that statistically, people who play RPG style tactic games like a game in the Final Fantasy series, have had significant increases in their IQ.
Keep that in mind the next time your parents say you're rotting away in front of the game.

Whoohoo! I've been playing FF ever since I got my NES at age 6. I always was a precocious little thing, too. Guess that explains it  Actually, I think the fact that I play the games just to beat the crap out of monsters and summon Bahamut takes a bit of the educational thing out of it for me. Playing FF2 five million times starts to lose any intrinsic value other than envying Rydia's coolness and laughing at Fusoya's puddle-of-beardness when he dies.

And my parents would never knock the video games. They only give me weird looks for the anime.

I think its fine, I am known to hug Macs at my place of work. PC's need to be beaten into submission, Mac's need a little lovin'
Well I can fight like the devil
Or do what I'm told
But one of these days
I've got to hit the road
On my way home
I'm coming home
That's where I'm going
