Hitomi crouched down as the man who had leaned foward wound up kissing the guy standing behind her.
"God I hate new years" Hitomi muttered as she straitened up again and smiled at the man. Hitomi looked around the party and sighed, it was getting late....in other words everyone was drunk and making out. Hitomi was fending off advances left and right. Finally she grabbed her bag and walked out of the party. Inhaling the cold night air, she let it wash over her bare skin. A low cut green sequened halter-top and leather pants with green strappy heels weren't the warmest oulfit, but Hitomi would give anything to be away from the strains of music pouring from the new years bash.

a guy running out of the room dressed as baby new year furthered her wish to go away....far away.

Van pretended to slip and narrowly avoided the dreaded new years kiss. God, why did they have to do this stupid custom? Couldn't they do something, ANYTHING else to celebrate the start of a new year? why did it have to be kissing?
"Happy new year lord Van!" Merle said happily. Van looked at her euphoric mood. Then Allen came up behind her and he put 2 and 2 together. Practically every female in the room wanted to kiss the knight. Well, actually, every female in the room wanted to do much more than just kiss the knight, but a kiss was a start.
"Happy new year Merle, Alan"he said polietly. "Exscuse me a minuet" he hurried into the cool night air. The stupid fomal garb was more than adequate protection against the cool air and Van planned to be outside as long as he could. Even though he wished he could be away....far away.
