Warnings: Whatever. Think of one. Perhaps I should warn you about the strip part for Relena. So there, I warned ya!
AN: Okay, this is very silly, and oh, I do like to keep everyone hanging, but I intend to make one chapter only! Please, may someone keep me away from my cliffhanger habits? This is from Heero's POV, and maybe sort of long. Actually, it is very long! HxR! HxR! HxR!
Truth or Dare
When we were kids, Zechs, Relena, Noin, Duo, Wufei, and the rest of the gang, and me, of course, the whole world was a good game of Truth or Dare. Yeah, I joined in, too. Even though I had the reputation of being a total but intelligent bully, I joined in. And boy, when they asked a dare, did I give it to them. Sometimes, I had sent Duo running throughout the whole neighborhood, it was snowing, mind you, naked. Catch a sight of his bare butt, I did, when he was rushing everywhere, shouting about how he was freezing his bum off.
Don't worry, we were about eight at the time, and we were already active in the Dare part. And the Truths...no one was really afraid to utter the Truth option, unless it was me or Zechs who was giving it to them. We had a way with words, but we were eternal enemies, that platinum-blond stuck-up. The only bond between us, surprisingly, was Relena. Zechs was overprotective. And me... Well.
She had had a crush on me, but I simply wasn't interested in girls. Then her crush drifted off into the snows, but I didn't care. When it disappeared altogether, I still didn't care. Now, when we struck fifteen, of all the rotten luck, I began to like Relena. Possibly even more. But I was afraid of rejection. She had a new boyfriend. She had gotten over me.
Okay, so you might laugh. Me, a tactless, emotionless, nonhuman human, was afraid of rejection. Ha ha. So not funny. So, you ask, what might this have to do with Truth or Dare? You see, somehow I knew that someone had found out about my new interest in Relena. None other than her evil best friends: Dorothy Catalonia, and Hilde Schbeiker. Duo's girlfriend, Hilde, and Quatre's long-time friend, Dorothy. Two of the most repectable but deadly girls I had ever encountered in my whole life. Funny how they went with Relena, who was as pure as an angel.
And if those two ever, ever navigated me into saying Truth, I was done for. The end of everything. And believe me, they could do it. I had to be careful.
*
Dorothy gave me a wink and tipped her bonnet as she climbed into the front seat, beside me. I was driving, fully-licensed, with the gang to a great spot near the mountains: right beside a thick knot of woods. Pleasant and cold there, I reflected. We had agreed to go there for the summer, got the permission (our parents really didn't mind us getting out of their hair), and we had gotten everything we needed. We needed a few provisions like food and blankets for the log cabin we had rented. All this was loaded into my old open convertible, where everyone, all eleven of them, not including me, were squished in like sardines in a tin can. It was cramped, sure, and Relena was almost sitting on my lap, beside Dorothy. I liked it. Ahem.
Everyone was already laying Truth or Dare, right in the car, and I grunted as I shifted around, watching Dorothy load her mammoth of a trunk into the back seat, which was already stuffed full of people sitting on each other's laps. I spotted Zechs and Noin snogging furiously, enjoying a competition with Duo and Hilde, who were, indeed, trying to suck each other's vocal chords out of their throats. I was the only one without a partner here, besides Relena, Trowa, and Catherine. None of us minded. At least, the others didn't.
"Duo, truth or dare?" Catherine demanded, adjusting her green bandanna.
Duo broke the kiss he was sharing with Hilde and took a deep breath before answering, and his face spread into a wide grin. "Give me a truth, Cathy. I'm not fallin for your stupid old dares."
"Just because I made you kiss an old lady we didn't even know doesn't mean you have to stop dares," Catherine pouted. Wufei turned as red as a ripe apple. "Alright." She pursed her lips, thinking. I tried not to grin. Catherine was very imaginative. And creative. I made a mental note to keep away from Cathy next time, just as her question came up.
"Have you ever kissed a guy?"
"Ew!" Dorothy giggled from the front seat. In addition, Quatre blushed. He was always blushing during embarrassing questions. Maybe that was why he never stopped blushing around the gang. Comments like that were common.
"Yeah," Duo said, without a hint of embarrassment. "I kissed Zechs once. But it was by accident," he added hastily, as Zechs snapped out of his kiss to glare at him. "He didn't even notice. He was just straightening when I was standing over him while he was on the floor, and then my lips accidentally brushed against his cheek."
"Don't do that again, Maxwell," Zechs growled, before Noin pulled down his face, successfully distracting him.
"My turn!" Duo turned toward each of us. Then he pointed toward Relena. "Truth or dare?"
"Dare," Relena replied unconcernedly.
"I dare you to pee over there." Duo pointed to a large tree we were passing by. I stopped quickly, only feet away from it. It was getting more and more mountainous as we drove on. More trees dotted the road. No one would notice her.
"DUO!" Relena cried, blushing.
"A dare is a dare," he shrugged.
"Fine!" Relena meekly went over to the tree, went behind, and did her business. Sure enough, we got a cute view of her bottom poking out from the side, and then withdraw. It was a show worthy enough. I quite liked it. Zechs growled again as Relena, now a red beetroot under the sun, came out from behind.
"I'm never going to do that again," she snarled as she slammed into my convertible. Most of the girls were hiding silent giggles, but most of the guys were laughing out loud. Well, not exactly. Duo was the only one laughing out loud, Wufei had thin trails of blood trickling down from his nose, Quatre was engrossing himself in his book, and Trowa remained stoic. Zechs was, as usual, angry.
After the butt-showing of Relena, and a few more stops along the way for more dares, we finally reached the log cabin. Secluded in a large circle of plants, it could barely be seen from the road, and we had to walk a few miles, lugging our heavy stuff, since it was far back from the road. When we finally reached it, even Duo was speechless. Now, that was a rare thing to say.
"It's beautiful," Relena breathed. Even I agreed. Gently curling around the quite large log cabin in a semicircle was the greenery of the woods. Water could be gently heard rushing somewhere, as if there was a small stream quite nearby. Flowers dotted the tall, green grass, and the slight humming of birds were heard from the trees. Fresh air blew against our face.
Badly in need of oxygen after the smoke-polluted city where we lived in, I took a deep breath and heard the others do the same. I glanced at Relena. Her eyes were like tiny bright jewels, gleaming in anticipation of exploring. She was always that way: delicate but adventurous. She looked at me and smiled gently, making my heart leap oddly.
Duo pranced away, despite the two heavy suitcases he was carrying, and burst into the house, eager as ever. Hilde ran after him, the bags she had slung across her body bouncing. Next came Relena, then Dorothy, and then Noin and Zechs. Catherine went around to the back, Quatre sighed and went off for a quiet reading somewhere private, and Trowa ambled off to follow his sister. Wufei and Sally followed the others into the house, arguing all the way.
Me? I stayed there for a few minutes, waiting for them to start shouting. Thirty seconds later, shouts were heard, and then a crash as a bottle of shampoo was thrown out the window. Idropped the bags and walked to the door, pulling it open, expecting the worse. Sure enough, Duo and Hilde had set up throwing things out of their bags at each other in the main room, where different doors went into different rooms. Muffled voices came from each of the closed doors. "Watch out!" Hilde screamed. A perfume bottle flew past my ear and practically exploded on the wooden wall. A heavy scent engulfed the room, making me sick. My only coherent thought was, "We're going to pay a lot for this."
Relena came out of the room she had chosen, announcing that she would have to share with her. Duo waved the heavy stench away from his nose, choked, and ran out into the sunlight. Hilde did not follow: instead, she slumped to the floor, unconscious. Wow. The perfume had to be that strong. But Relena didn't seem to mind. Rather, she breathed in and let it out in a sigh. "Oh, well. Heero, you wanna share my room?"
Oh, god. That was the last thing I really wanted to do. What if I ended up harming her in some way? But then again, I wanted it, she was the one who offered... "Sure," I managed to get out between trying to breathe properly and trying to make sense of what she had just said. She beamed at me, nodded politely, and disappeared through the back door. Trying to clean the air a bit, I tried to spray some pine air freshener I grabbed from Hilde's bag, which was not exactly pleasant, since it made up the exact combination of 'pine plus women's perfume equals to a horrible fart smell'. Believe me, it was worse than anything I had ever imagined.
Just as I finished dragging Hilde over to the sink and was about to pour cold water over her, Dorothy appeared in the doorway to another room. "I'm sharing with Quatre and Catherine," she said. Catherine, who was trailing behind her, wrinkled her nose and said, "Boy, did someone set off a stink bomb so early already?"
"No," I replied. I grabbed a bucket, filled it with cold water from the tap, and dumped it over Hilde's unconscious head.
"EEEYOOWWWWWW!!!" she screamed, jerking her head up and spraying water everywhere. Her eyes went wild as she looked around, totally disoriented. Dorothy snickered, Catherine grinned, and I smirked. Hilde, as respectable as she could be, was sometimes enough to freak anyone out. Not that that would make a difference with Duo, who was already freaky enough.
"Good morning," Sally said cheerfully. Wufei was following her out of another room, and although seemed to be happy enough, wore a dark scowl, which was his usual expression. "We got our room. Where are the others?"
"The other rooms are left for Trowa, Zechs, and Noin."
"I bet they're already in their own little dreamworld! That Zechs and Noin..." Dorothy snickered rudely. No one minded. She was like that most of the time. I plopped the empty bucket down on the counter and leaned against the smooth cement, running my fingers through my untamed hair. My mind was filled with thoughts about Relena. Why had she chosen me to be her roommate? The question bounced around my head like a rubber ball begging to be thrown somewhere else. It was a question that was begging to be answered. Hm...
I grunted as Hilde, snapping out of her half-crazed state, waved a hand in front of my face and said, "Knock knock! Anybody home?"
"Hn." I grunted again for good measure.
"I was asking you where is Relena?" She sighed. "You haven't seen her, have you?" There was a hidden smirk in those eyes. Something that promised sincerely that she would find out exactly what I was thinking. Yare yare desu ne, my frazzled brain went. (Oh dear) That was definitely not a good sign.
"I saw her go out a few minutes ago," I grunted. "She went out."
"And where is she sleeping?" she leaned forward, a smirk filling her face now. Identical to the smirk on Dorothy's face. Catherine, Wufei, and Sally, unaware that anything had actually happened, were talking. HELP ME! my brain screamed at them. I refrained from saying it out loud and forced myself to answer her question.
"She's sleeping over there," I said flatly, pointing toward Relena's room.
"Is she sleeping with...ahem...anyone?" Dorothy asked, suddenly at Hilde's side. I looked from one to the other. What had I ever done to deserve this? WHAT?
"Me," I said smoothly. "She said I could sleep in the room with her." Smooth, Yuy. Really smooth. Their eyeballs will pop out, their mouths will drop to the floor, any second. Ten, nine, eight, seven...
Clunk, clunk. Two jaws dropped to the floor. Unmistakably, they were Dorothy's and Hilde's. I didn't like the way they were staring at me, the triumphant smiles on their faces. The game to play tonight was going to be very different. Very very different, it seemed. I had to watch out.
*
Midnight. I glanced at my watch. Another game of Truth or Dare. More bottles of beer. Candy, popcorn, and other junk food littered the floor. Everyone had something to drink, everyone had Coke stains on their shirts, and everyone was still going strong. "Noin, truth or dare?" Quatre asked, taking a gulp of Coke and letting it dribble from his mouth. He was exceptionally high on the sugar tonight, I thought, taking another swig out of my beer bottle.
"Dare," Noin chirped. She was going heavy on the candy, too. Everyone was either drunk on something, or was half-asleep, staring into space. Relena was sober - she had not eaten anything except for popcorn all night, her eyes fixed on the movie she, Hilde, Duo, and I were watching, and every once in a while, she let out a squeak of terror as a vampire loomed on the screen. This had no effect on Duo whatsoever, who was picking his nose as he stared intently at the screen. I snorted at him, and he grinned back. Hilde was dozing off on his shoulder, her chin nestled comfortably onto her chest.
"I dare you to...um..." Quatre glanced around. "I dare you to dial someone and tell him off."
"Is that all?" Noin's eyes widened.
Quatre shrugged. "In colorful language."
"Which number?"
"Dial any. Randomly," Dorothy chipped in. My eyes swiveled toward her. I had been wary of her and Hilde all night, but they hadn't tried anything - yet.
Noin walked to the phone determinedly, shoved Zechs' head, which was sprawled on the phone, the eyes closed, off the cradle. He woke up with a grunt just as his head was inches away from the floor, and promptly fell off his chair. "Ow." He rubbed his head, stood up, and slouched off toward the nearest armchair. Trowa, who was lying on the floor with a bottle of beer, grunted and turned over, looking at Noin dial a number. Everyone listened quietly. Only Sally's snores punctuated the silence.
"Hello?" Male. Hoarse. About thirty. I could picture him already: with a thin mustache, glasses, and a balding top. I was always good at guessing games.
"Your mother told you to come back to your grave!" Noin yelled into the phone. "She told you to go away and that you could stick your red bum out of a window looking into a field with a bull in it for all she cares! And she said..."
Click.
The dial tone rang loudly. She banged it into its cradle and smirked at Quatre triumphantly, and then returned to her seat by the window, which was gazing out into a full moon. "Dorothy, truth or dare?"
Oh, no. She had chosen Dorothy, which meant that if she chose me... I would have to stick with dare. But knowing Dorothy, she would probably make me kiss Relena or something. Either option was a risk. A risk that I was not willing to take. Dorothy just grinned.
"Truth."
"How many men have you slept with?"
Duo whistled loudly, and Wufei smirked from the shadows he was hiding in, presumably watching Sally. Quatre blushed again. Relena remained terrified-looking. I remained stoic. Dorothy smiled blandly, even though there was a hint of a blush on her face. "Too many to count."
"Dorothy!" everyone exclaimed. Zechs twitched in his sleep, but luckily didn't wake up. I didn't want him to see what Dorothy had in store for me, whatever that might be. I gulped inaudibly, but Relena must have heard. She peered up at me with dusty blue eyes.
"Are you okay, Heero?"
"Yeah, I'm fine." My voice croaked in my throat, but it must have reassured her. She turned back toward the movie.
Dorothy raised an eyebrow at me, and my throat dried out even more. It was like waiting for doomsday to come. She opened her mouth... "Relena, truth or dare?"
Relena, startled, looked around. "Um, dare?"
Dorothy smirked. Somehow, I had the strange feeling that was exactly what she had been waiting for. "I dare you to strip...forty buttons, zips, or clasps is all you're allowed. Right here, right now." I swallowed. This was worst than anything I had ever experienced. Everyone's mouths had clunked to the floor, but not me. Instead, I stood up, trying to recover from the shock, and said, firmly,
"No, Relena, you are NOT going to strip."
She sat quietly, considering, my dark blue eyes burning into her back. She took a sip of her Coke and said in a low voice, "Why not?" She stood up and stretched, allowing the people in the room to look her over. "I'm still thinking there's a chance I won't be naked by the end of the part. After all, it's only thirty buttons and clasps all together."
Duo hooted. "Way to go, lady!" He woke up Hilde, who immediately drifted off to sleep once Duo calmed down. I made a threatening move toward Relena, but suddenly, about seven bodies were on me, including Wufei. Duo, Noin, Quatre, Trowa, Wufei, Catherine, and Dorothy leapt on me. In no time, they had trussed me up like a chicken with a hommade rope made from Duo, Quatre, Trowa, and Wufei's shirts tied together, and I could barely move.
"Get some cord!" Duo shouted to Catherine. She willingly obliged and fetched some rope from the kitchen, then brought it to Duo, who wasted no time in pinning Zechs to the chair, making sure he was immobile. He awoke as the ropes went around him, and his eyes widened at the sight of me unmoving on the floor, my mouth gagged by a hankerchief Quatre had stuffed, giggling, into it. It was burning the back of my throat. Before he could react, the ropes around him tightened, and his was virtually helpless.
Sure, he struggled, but that was no use against Duo Maxwell, the champion knot-tying twenty-year-old. Duo leapt away from him, satisfied, and flopped back on the couch. Catherine and Dorothy lugged me onto a chair and tied my jean-clad ankles to the chair's legs for good measure. I could barely move a muscle. I twitched. "This won't hurt a bit," Dorothy whispered, her long hair grazing my cheek as she removed my gag. I spat onto the floor.
"I doubt it!" I said sarcastically. "You better not do anything to her!"
"There's still Relena's turn after this," she warned me. "You might not want to get me mad during a game of Truth or Dare." She winked at me and sashayed away toward Relena's now vacant place. Relena was pacing by the window, silently calculating how much forty buttons would get her. Too far, I reflected. I watched her as she paced the floor. Then she stopped.
"Alright, I'll do it," she said slowly. Then a grin spread over her face as she glanced at a livid Zechs. "Now that the danger is put away, I think we can begin."
I looked around. Everyone was watching Relena's every move as she stepped out in the middle of the floor, except for...Trowa. He was gone. But then, I saw him slip back in, a rare grin on his face. He gave me a thumbs up and settled next to Zechs, crossing his legs. Music drifted across the background, so soft you could barely hear it. That was Relena's cue. Swaying her hips to the music, her eyes sliding lazily from one face to the other, she kicked off her black high heels. Then she put it neatly to one side. Two parts down. Thirty-eight to go.
Looking up, she caught my eye and slowly removed her jewelry: a watch, her earrings, and a charm bracelet that I gave her for her nineteenth birthday last year. She placed them next to her shoes, her movements slow, deliberate. She stopped for a few moments, and almost everyone groaned. Except, of course, Zechs and me. I started to thrash around, and was determined to shout, scream, anything to ruin the atmosphere. Dorothy gave me a warning look and stuffed the gag back in my mouth.
I choked instantly. This was torture, pure and simple.
Relena gave me a look and started to sway her hips again, following the music. All eyes were on her, and it seemed to give her some confidence boost. Her hair waved slightly, curtaining her slim body. She got rid of the clip in her hair, tossing it haphazardly into the corner of the room. There was a tiny sound as it dropped to the floor. It echoed in the room.
Her eyes burning into mine, she slowly reached for her blouse. I quickly calculated how many parts were left. Exactly thirty-three. Wait, no, the watch needed two clips to unfasten. Thirty-one, then. Her blouse had eight buttons. Twenty-three left. She unfastened the four buttons on the pockets of her blouse, let the white material slide to the floor, and reached for her skirt. It traced along at the waist, and she arched her neck, exposing herself to the cool air.
She was wearing a plain white bra, and I could see that her nipples had hardened interestingly enough in the air. the gentle curve of her neck made me...uncomfortable. Zechs let out another growl, but no one took notice. Everyone was too entranced.
Relena let the fingers on her skirt drift downward, emitting a loud groan from everyone, but was not disappointed when Relena took off her stockings. She folded them neatly and placed them on her folded blouse. Then she counted on her fingers. The four buttons, and then two parts for the two stockings. Seventeen left. She let a long lazy smile curve her pink lips as she wet them with her tongue, her eyes never leaving mine. This was hard, I reflected, sneaking a peek down at my pants, which had considerably grown a few sizes too small.
Her fingertips drifted teasingly again the waistline of her skirt, and this time, it went on. She unbuttoned the four black buttons, and she carefully folded it, bending to place it carefully on top of her stockings and blouse, giving us a sneak peek at her white panties, this time, with a line of roses drawn on the hem. I got a cute view of her butt as well, since she had her back turned to me.
Then I realized something. Relena knew that she had everyone's attention...and she was taking advantage of it. She was going to, and I knew it. Steadily, she swayed toward me...and sat in my lap. I jolted as she touched me, as if an electric bolt had shot through me. Her eyes burning into mine, she whispered into my ear, "Thirteen left, Heero."
Then she reached down...and took off the two foot bracelets that adorned her ankles. I had never noticed them yet. She held up her right hand. Two more rings. I groaned inside. When would she hurry up? Everyone seemed to be having the same thought. My hands suddenly jerked out of position, and the shirts ripped free. My arms jerked out into view from behind my chair, until I forced them to stiffen and stop the force tugging it into view of my captors. Only Relena saw, but she did not mind.
Rather, she smiled. Nine left, I realized. How far could nine go? The music drifted in and out of my head, interrupting my thoughts, making myself focus intensely on the woman sitting on my lap. She reached around her neck and unclasped the silver necklace she wore, and then open the locket that hung from it. Seven. She reached up, making her breasts bounce in front of my face (Zechs was none too happy), and making my insides groan and melt. Why was she teasing me like this?
She took out more pins from her hair. Four black pins. I glanced at the others. Duo was practically going cross-eyed, Zechs' face seemed to be blending into the dark, an ugly purple color it was, Dorothy and Catherine were enjoying themselves immensely, Quatre was blushing but staring, Trowa was fiddling with his book and staring at us, Wufei was having a major nosebleed, and Sally was looking amused as ever. Yet no one seemed to be enjoying themselves as much as Relena. She was smiling lazily at me.
I almost forgot to calculate how much there was left. Exactly three left. And knowing Relena, she would find some way to knock off that three without removing her clothes. I was both happy and disappointed at the same time, because I actually was willing to see her naked, and also because I didn't want her to get hurt or exposed.
Reaching up, she slid off one strap of her bra. Then the other. Slowly. The straps slithered between her upper arm and upper body like liquid. I groaned inwardly. An iron hand was curling in my lower stomach. Clenching my insides. One left. All she had to do was take off the strap... She smiled again. And reached down... to remove a small, hardly visible ring on her finger.
A sigh ran throughout the room. Relena, having finished her part, jumped off me, and, without glancing in my direction, hurried to the couch, sliding her straps onto her shoulders again. I cursed as my pants shrank again another size. "Don't do anything to her," I growled at Duo, who had begun to creep toward Relena. "Or else..."
"Or else what, Heero?" Duo pouted at me. Relena turned toward him and giggled. As she caught my eye, she gave me a wink. "You're all tied up. You can't do anything..."
"Oh yeah?" My voice was quiet, but suddenly, I was at his side, my safety gun cocked at his temple. I raised an eyebrow. "No way I would remain in those flimsy bonds, Maxwell."
"Um..."
"Alright, my turn!" Relena said cheerfully, as if nothing had happened. "Hilde, truth or dare?"
Hilde sat up, and instantly, I knew she had seen everything. She hadn't been sleeping after all. Apprehension bubbled up inside me, and I lowered the gun. "Truth."
"Who do you love most in the world?"
"Duo, of course." She grabbed him for a kiss, and then let go, as if to prove her point. "No one else. My turn. Heero, truth or dare?"
I weighed the options. No dares. It was too risky. A truth wouldn't hurt. "Truth."
"What are your true feelings for Relena?"
*
I was wrong. I scared incredulously at Hilde. She had a grin about as wide as the equator. I searched my brain. What was I going to say? Suddenly, the strain too much, Zechs burst out of his bonds, and the cords spread out on the floor like snakes. "BEDTIME!" he roared. "THIS GAME IS OVER!"
Everyone rushed from the room to their respective bedrooms, including me, glad for an escape from the infernal question. I lay in bed, thinking. What the hell had happened? Had the world gone berserk in one night of Truth or Dare? Was I going crazy? What would happen next? Hilde and Dorothy were paranoid to do that... My anger grew. Why did they have to make Relena do that?
A few minutes later, Relena crept into the room. "Heero?" she whispered. "Are you asleep?"
"No," I grunted.
"Good." She sat on the edge of the bed. "I wanted to talk to you about the Truth. What are your true feelings for me, Heero?" Noticing the look on my face, illuminated by moonlight, she added hastily, "You don't have to say. I mean, I know that this is awkward..."
"No." The words broke my heart. I rolled over to look at her. "Actually, I wanted to tell you, Relena, but I was afraid to. I...I'm in love with you." That night, she kissed me. We were old enough, we decided, and we carried on. That night, we were lost in passion. She loved me, and vice-versa. That was all I needed to know. And I was grateful, thanks to the two respectable but evil women, that we were together. Understanding came with dawn. I understood that anything is possible, even through a game of Truth or Dare, a strip tease, and a good old Truth question.

From the next room:
"WHAT? HEERO YUY IS SLEEPING WITH MY SISTER? IN MY SISTER'S ROOM?"
