That wasn't what I ment I mean what does the term pot mean when you call her an evil pot
My theme song is Adieu I'm Noin from GW.
I'm Rei from Nerv. My stereotype is Tough Boy.
"... She stopped. Had it been her heart they failed her, or had her eyes, veiled in the mornfulness that lies over all the wild things on earth, seen the hopelessness of longing that will find out sometimes even a savage soul in the lonely darkness of its being?" Conrad, The Heart of Darkness

I'm guessing that it's a reference to the fact that her body was made of clay and fired in a kiln (sp?) like pottery. I.e., she is not a living being, but a "pot."
Re. my opinion: I actually agree with Beer on this one (
). Kikyo adds necessary tension -- she gives the backbone to any "romance" between Inuyasha and Kagome. Without her...well, puppy boy may have a crush on Kagome & vice-versa, but wouldn't it be a little too light and fluffy to ever seem "real?" And whatever she's pulled, calling her "evil" is kind of cheap (no offence to the people who've done it, just playing devil's advocate). How many of you would kill off Sesshoumaru? I think that they're good foils for each other; they're both out to "kill" Inuyasha (& Sesshoumaru actually comes darn close to killing Kagome)...buuuuut...
Just a thought. -- TQ

Because you don't like P&P. Our brains must be wired differently.
Of course, you do have the wonderful accent. What is it about an English accent that makes a person automatically sound so...so...cultured? And why doesn't a southern accent do the same thing? WHY???
*cough* sorry, this has nothing to do with Kikyo. Just like to mess around with Beer. In a completely G-rated way, of course. -- TQ

Using my advanced biological lab reporting skills I will use my hypothesis formula of an if...then... statement: If Kikyo (Kikyou) is spelled backwards as oykik (uoykik) then she should not be killed... now to test this hypothesis by using dH20 and my spectrometer...
hee... I'm just kidding--- but really, there is no need to kill Kikyo, she obviously is not herself and I don't think we have to fear Inuyasha gettng with her as the smell of her would be enough to back him up a few steps. Then there's the fact that the only way she can come back to life is Kagome's soul and well--- as Inuyasha has clearly proven time after time, he will save her! And, then there is the shikon no tama, and well... they're not going to get there anytime soon... no Rumiko's gonna drag this out and make us suffer in angst ridden boiling acid for eternity... so no worries quite yet!!!
*random bunny hops through*
And after all Kikyo is so mysterious with the whole 'you have no idea what she's planning'... oh, she says she's after Inuyasha, but she could have gotten rid of him a long time ago. She has plans I tell you--- and it's only just the beginning.
Uh... and I have nothing else to say... for now!!!!

I don't hate Kikyo, I just don't like her. I will agree with what others have said before me, that she plays an essential role in the series, especially in the Inuyasha and Kagome relationship, and I understand that she feels betrayed, but she can get just downright annoying at times.
If it makes any sense whatsoever, I like Kikyo when she's not around Inuyasha and trying to make his life miserable. I think that's when we get to see who Kiyo really is. I don't like the person that anger and hatred turn her into, but I like the priestess who cares for people and tries to heal or help others. I think if she'd stay away from Inuyasha alot more people would like her, or at least understand her better.

"Sometimes I wish I could go back to being five again, where the most difficult decision I had to make was whether I colored the flower red or blue. Back to when my brothers and I would stay out all day playing cops and robbers or cowboys and Indians. Back to when life was easy and carefree. But that would mean a life when I didn’t know you. I don’t think I’d like that too much."

I have to agree with Beer. I don't think that Kikyo tries to make Inuyasha's life misrable, or that she really wants to kill him. I think that deep down she's just trying to live her life the way she might've if she hadn't died.
Whoah. Where did that come from? Honestly, I don't like Kikyo. I think that she is the most frustrating part of the show. I mean, Kagome and Inuyasha have enough problems without her coming and messing everything up. But of couse, one whiff of her and he's running after her like a loyal pet. Ugg. I understand his complex. Her being dead, eventhough it was 50 years, was only a couple of weeks or so for him. Of course he want's her to be alive, she was the nicest person he had ever known besides his mother, before Kagome and the crew.
But, but, but, . . . She's dead!!
Dosn't that creep him out just a little? I mean, the only reasson why she's alive at all, is because she has a part of Kagome's soul!! Let the dead rest and move on to the future.
Ahh well. Where would the show be without a little bit of complexity, eh? What would be the point of fanfiction if the series all went the way we wanted them too? Ahhh!
Well, till next time.

"We seem dead set on turning ourselves into little monsters, don't we? Wonder why that is? It's all the rage all of a sudden. And all of us, is sooo busy running around, trying to beat each other to the finish line that no one notices the big sign from God that says : Stop-Messing-with-my-Stuff."
