*sigh* okay, okay... just kidding... I wish Aoshi and Misao get together in the series...T_T... Ah well... But yesh, I love Aoshi Shinomori, guy wise... but girl wise... Misao Makimachi is the best!!!

Well, since you asked I have to say "Kenshin, Kenshin, and Kenshin!" I don't know if it's the hair, the eyes, the scar, or the 'oro!' but he's just adorable.

A close second for me would be Sano. Followed by Soujuro, Hiko, Yahiko, Aoshi, and Saito (not necessarily in that order).

I laugh myself to death every time Hiko manages to get to rise of Kenshin. Hiko is conceited to the point that its funny. Baka deshi indeed.

I also can't help laughing when Saito gives Sano a hard time, which is pretty much every time they have the misfortune of running across one another.

As for the female characters, my favorite is Kaoru. Followed by Misao then Megumi.

I guess you saw that one coming. My favorite male character is Kenshin, so its probably not a surprise the my favorite female character is Kaoru. As you can also tell, I'm a loyal Kenshin and Kaoru fan.

I've recently purchased the Rurouni Kenshin series over Christmas break and I have to say I absolutely adore it! I love the storyline, the philosophy and the mangas! I >< cried reading the mangas...and watching the OAVs...and... ^^;

Eda, so *traces patterns with foot* ...I would have to say that I agree with Carebear. Definitely Kaoru and Kenshin...and they do belong together *grins* They are also my favorite characters of the series.

Sano is hilarious but I must say that Yahiko takes #2 for the guys on my list. He is just hilarious...especially in the manga ^^ Then Sano, and...believe it or not, Saito.

Kaoru is my favorite followed by Ayame & Suzume...aren't they just the sweetest little girls? ^^ and they bring out the *awww* in Kenshin ^^

Besides Kenshin on my personal top 3 Rurouni Kenshin characters list, I would have to say Hiko Sojuro and Hajime Saito would also be my favorites, simply because both are pretty much badasses, who have no qualms about eliminating whole rooms filled with enemy soldiers and such.

Gotta love Kenshin. He's so sweet, lethal, funny, and can do the laundry - or slaughter masses of soldiers during the revolution. And Sanosuke is quite nice to look at too. ;)
