Has anyone else seen the OVAs?

Gotta love Kenshin. He's so sweet, lethal, funny, and can do the laundry - or slaughter masses of soldiers during the revolution. And Sanosuke is quite nice to look at too. ;)

I watched it for Enishi.... naturally.

Of course I was outraged at how depressing it was.

That's part of why it sits in my drawer, still, only watched once because I can't bring myself to watch something so sad again.... just yet anyway.

I love Trust and Betrayal, but I'm not too fond of the Seisouhen OVA. I hate the ending.

Their son Kenji is adorable, though!! I'm not a fan of Sano's hippie-like hairdo, but I LOVE EINISHI!! Yeah, the futon scene kicks ass! :D

I don't know...I thought Sano was hot, all the way 'round. :wink:
I admit that I think it was especially cool how they retold the main Kenshin/Kaoru romance from the beginning...the kiss...the futon...yummy! I guess that what I like least about Seisouhen is the fact that it's so...closed. There really isn't any room for interpretation -- it boxes K/K up into a nice little tragic package. They meet, they fall in love, Kenshin is redeamed, Kenshin dies, end of story. Tada! I just sort of sat there (weeping), gasping, "Nuh-uh. No way. But...but...but...nooooooooooooooo!" And there wasn't anything I could do to fix it. :cry:

I've been trying to write a K/K fic to cheer myself up (read: I wrote a prologue & ch. 1 two months ago, & haven't touched it since). Problem is, it's a bit of an epic -- well, more like a chapter fic, but I seem to be really bad at getting those finished, so I don't want to post anything unless I either have it finished or can finish it soon. Anyway...what if we issue a challenge? Write a K/K fic of any length, but which fits (or which you can make fit) into the OVA storyline (all three parts). Err...I don't mean that it has to be within the TIMEline...just in character -- the one I'm "working" on is a reincarnation fic (sort of). And it has to be HAPPY. HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY and FLUFFY!!! Something which we can all use as backup when we manage to watch Seisouhen again! :bounce: :bounce: :D :bounce: :bounce:

I havent seen the OVA's but my friend told me everything about them and really think that it was a stupid ending. but the only actual OVA that i have seen is the one with Enishi. I liked it because he kidnaps Koaru and then there was the fight scene that was kinda sad but then again I never cry at movies....................never :wink:

i watched both of them i have them on dvd i cried at the end of Reflection (kxk) i'm very sad that he died yet glad that he died in her arms n' all that he had been through he can finally rest in peace i love ovas damn to think it all started with pencil drawing ...

Ehh..*sweatdrops* Which OVA are we talking about? Samurai X? Because Samurai X is my fav. *got it for Christmas XD* I haven't seen Reflection, but y friend also told me all about it. We both cried for a straight hour. :cry: It's jsut not fair!!!!

I just finished watching Reflection like 15 minutes ago and I'm still sobbing like a baby. I cried so hard when I seen Kaoru pull back Kenshin's hair and *CBF blows his nose and sobs for another 5 minutes* the cross-shaped scar is gone. Thank God I watched this by myself otherwise my friends would've called my a pansie.

Anyway...if I remember right the manga ends differently...

I'm too attatched to Kenshin (you can tell by all the action figures and posters on my wall) I think I'd go ingot a depression and never come out if I accepted...you know...

just reading about it's made me want to cry...so if you'll all excuse me...I need a little alone time...
