Has anyone else seen the OVAs?

Gotta love Kenshin. He's so sweet, lethal, funny, and can do the laundry - or slaughter masses of soldiers during the revolution. And Sanosuke is quite nice to look at too. ;)

Has anyone else seen the OVAs?

Post by TigerQueen »

I just finished the OVAs...and the Kaoru/Kenshin one...well...
Don't continue unless you've seen the OVAs. I don't want to spoil anything...I just need therapy. They're...disturbing. And I'm having fun with elipses tonight.
So, if you HAVE seen the OVAs, scroll down...

Warning: R-rated language and spoilers ahead:

WHAT THE FUCK??????????????????????

Yes, yes, I understand artistic integrity...but Kaoru and Kenshin are supposed to die OLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! with GRANDCHILDREN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! many, many, many adorable GRANDCHILDREN, not one 15-year-old brat with a serious attitude problem. They're supposed to die of old age, not some creepy leprosy-type disease!! OK, I understand that Kaoru has to "share his suffering," but GIVE ME A BREAK! He leaves her for 10 years to "find himself?" Comes back, and leaves AGAIN? Comes back to DIE?????

*grumbles* I'll admit, the kiss was cute...the futon scene was whistle-worthy (except for the blood)...but I'm flabberghasted.

PAIN. SUFFERING. AGONY. LOSS.

Anyone else care to share in the misery?

and what makes it all wonderful is the fact that I'm getting up at 8...

The OVAs...I hate them!

I hate that they had to die. DIE! For goodness sakes, it was all angst. Yes, angst. I knew it was going to, yet my bro bought the last one, and so I skimmed it. And I saw the ending. I hate it. The OVAs is serious and definitely angst. Did I say angst? I'll repeat it again and again and again.

I don't like RK OVAs.

That is all.

Okay, did I forget that I like RK TV? No, I like that one better.

NOW that is all.

Lords above it made me cry like a baby!!! I'm just sad they made Kenshin be all depressive and stuffs. I suppose after you killed hundreds of people you'd be a little f*d up in the head. Maybe feel kinda bad about the whole sordid affair. What I feel about the OVA ending to RK is about equal to the ending of CB.....it had to happen, you had to know it was coming. Its sucks hard core, but that's the way it is.

Oh yeah the kissing and the futon scene....girly squeal worthy I tell you!!

Is that the Rk seishouten one. You know the future. Just to clarify coz I thought The Kenshin/Tomoe flashback one was good

*sigh* Yeah, the more I think about it, the more "correct" it seems. I mean, there were plenty of Japanese wars in the early 20th century (my dad fought in one of them  on the Allied side), so Kenshin couldn't ever completely escape the battlefield. Still, it seems unfair  and I'd rather image them living in a happy world :( with ice cream :) and puppies :D and futons 8) :D :D :D -- TQ

I happened to love the OVA's. I got both. I like the realism and the animation. It was filled with angst but he was bound to met his fate and live a short life. I wish all women could be as faithful as Kauro.

I sobbed VERY VERY HARD. (SPOILER!) I was watching it yesterday...

Man, the part at the end where Kaoru pushes back his hair and we see that the infamous scar is gone and her tears fall on his cheek...*trembles* The firzt time I was watching it in my room, and my dad came home with plans to take me to the movies. I was crying, and I had to explain to him what happened. Fortunately, he comforted me and after 10 minutes of getting my act together we went out. Anyway...

Yeah, they're supposed to die old and be godparents to Yahiko's children, and Sano (who looks fucking awesome, all rugged and stuff) is supposed to come back and admit he loved Kaoru all those years--

RK BI Group:

--Hehe, sike. Would be interesting, though, huh?

But yeah, Seissouhen angered and saddened me. I, too, am a fan of the firefly/futon scene. Wee!

I wonder what they really died of. I bet it was AIDS or the like, because of the bruises although Kaoru hadn't "shared his pain" until AFTER Kenji was born, so the idea of it being an STD is kinda ruled out.

What was Watsuke THINKING?! *Shakes head.*

But wasn't the coverage of the Revenge Arc awesome? Enishi was SWEET! And that new English VA for Ji'nei rocked my world...
