Me the hypocriticle Christian: According to the Bible It was the Chicken. But then again I havn't been to church in a really long time.

Me the Atheist: According to evolution it would be the egg. But then again I'm only a freshman majoring in engenering and care nothing about the theories of evolution.

Take you pick but the answers will change depending on you beliefes.

I think it's redundant. If it was the egg, who (or in this case, what) the heck put the egg? And if it was the chicken, how did it came to be? If it was hatched, then who (what!) put the egg? And now we're back on base one!

Well, I would hate to piss off anyone... well, that's a lie. I don't care really.

I believe in evolution, so this is the equivilant of asking, which came first, the 3 celled organism, or the 5 celled organism? See, there was never a "chicken" or an "egg" it was gradual. Birds are siad be have evolved from dinosaurs. So it's just saying which part of the evolution came first. The real question would be when did it stop being a dinosaur and start being a bird? It's like asking who was the last neandrithal? When did it become a "human"? If standing upright would is the answer, then the answer to your question is, the first dinosaur to flap it's wings and say "Bock-ba-cock". So the answer is the Chicken.

But this is just a theory I thought up just now, so don't rely on me for this one.

But the main question is, "WHO CARES?"
