Pride (3 excerpt)

Don't rightly know how many of you still care about this little fic of mine, but here is an excerpt that I was suddenly inspired to write.

Disclaimer: I do not own Hellsing or any parts thereof, instead just using my own uninspired imagination to write a vampire fic.

Pride 3--Excerpt

A disgusting monster on one hand. Pure, utter beauty on the other. They cannot be one in the same, rather two separate things, entities, which thrive on the other, seducing those unfortunate to come in their path. They are inescapable and are never seen united as one. Or are they?

He was beautiful when he wanted to be, seducing her with his old world attractiveness and indescribable charm. Yes he had charm when he so desired, never one to waste a moment whenever the time arose. It was one of his many quirks. That was what this entire world needed: a deadly yet quirky vampire with untold power.

Beautiful? Yes. The only thing surpassing his beauty was his own insanity. Maniacal more often than not, lusting for a fight, to kill those unworthy of their ?gift,? the way other vampires lusted for the blood of their victims. Both insatiable in their need to create havoc, breed death, and generally piss her off. He was a monster, in more ways than was imaginable.

Integra continued to stare off into the cold pale dawn slowly rising throughout her beloved England, the county for which she would do anything, or so it seemed. Normally her infamous person would be standing rigid and steadfast, listening, and mentally filing away Walter?s daily reports, commenting now and again as she waited for him to appear and tell his nightly story. But things were different now. She leaned against the majestic window in an attempt to relieve her body of the new found stress. She welcomed the cool, hard glass against her feverish skin. The baby, it would seem, was determined to insure that Integra would never forget such an experience.

?And now Sir Integra, I have Lord Alucard?s report for this past night. Do you wish for me to read it aloud or prefer time alone??

Integra remained silent. Another change. The vampire would still receive his orders from his master but that was the only time he would go near her, preferring to leave Walter or Seras deal with the daily inter office memo. He was avoiding her, plain, and simple. If she was honest with herself, she would say that Alucard detested her existence.

No my master. I do not, and have never detested you. The child and soldier however are another matter completely. One I am fully prepared to live without.

?Get out.?

?Sir Integra?? Walter stepped toward his charge, worry filling his eyes. She had not been acting the same since the night on the roof three months prior. The servants suspected her of going insane as they constantly heard their Knight talking to herself either in rage or calm detachment. It too worried Walter but for other reasons.

Alucard was, to put it delicately, murderous. He was furious at his master for getting herself into the situation. It had long been established he despised Integra?s lover, but the length to which he went in regards to the unborn child was disturbing. During his human reign he had no love for the spawn of his fellow humans, but since his time as a vampire that had only worsened.

He no longer wanted his master pregnant. He no longer wanted that human soldier as her lover. He no longer wanted the Queen to dictate Hellsing. He no longer wanted to watch Integra, his master, slowly decay into nothing but forgotten dust.

This was, of course, all speculation as Walter had never gotten far with the subject in the times he had enough courage to ask the vampire. Seras, the poor girl, was at a loss whenever it came to her master in the first place so this was a complete mystery to her. Together, Walter and Seras had formulated theories but never dared to speak them to another living or unliving soul.


Promise to write more soon and replace this with the entire chapter. I do apologize for the long wait.

I read this a long time ago, and was wondering if you were going to update it. I'm so glad that you have!

Great fic! It's such a diffrence having Alucard pissed off at Integra, (Although not without due cause ) and I can't wait to see what he does about his hatred towards Integra's unborn child and soldier. :razz:

Finally...an update...it's been a long time!

WOW! Can imagine my shock when I saw this last night, but just now had the time to read it today.

I love seeing how irked Alucard is about the whole mess and seeing Integra thinking about everything, including Alucard himself. Leave it to him though to still crawl into her conscience and fuck with her mind. Hope you get inspired more to continue with this chapter.
