A young man of seventeen with long dark purple hair and shimmering pinkish purple eyes stood before Izumi. ??erm? who are you?? Izumi asked.

At that moment, the telephone rang. Izumi ran to the living room and answered the phone. ?Moshi mosh~ Atashi wa Shinozaki Izumi de~su!?

?What? Where are-? Kiyoshi was cut off in mid sentence as Izumi turned off the game and rushed out of her house.

Izumi ran at about twenty miles per hour down the street stepping on a cat?s tail, knocking down a trashcan, fell into a puddle of water, caused a traffic jam and bumped into a kid with an old lady and finally reached her destination, Yuriko?s house, gasping for air breaking a world record of running three kilometers in seven minutes and thirty six seconds.

Izumi rang the doorbell and Yuriko opened the door a minute later. Yuriko has shoulder length chestnut hair that is streaked with red and dark emerald eyes. ?Oh my, looks like you broke your speed record again?? said Yuriko as she sees Izumi panting.

Izumi walks into Yuriko?s kitchen. ?Hee hee? damn, I?m busted? where?re all your chocolates and sweets??

?? I don?t have any??

?Then I?ll have to go buy some? I?m too tired?? said Izumi, advancing to the door.

?Err? why don?t I make you a glass of lemonade instead?? suggested Yuriko.

?Huh? Why not candy?? asked Izumi, confused.

?Coz we don?t want you sugar drunk that?s why.? Answered a voice from behind her.

Izumi turned around and saw a girl with black hair tinted with brown that is tied into a low ponytail which reaches her upper back and sparkling purple eyes. ?Ohaiyou Rai-Chan! I promise I wouldn?t get sugar drunk? Onegai???? Izumi pleads.

?I-ie? said Yuriko and Rai.

?Wuaaaaa~~~? protested Izumi.

?No means no Izumi. And you?ll have to learn to accept reality?? said Rai as she drags a kicking and protesting Izumi into Yuriko?s room. ?What are you standing there for Yuriko? Come in??


Yuriko sweat dropped at the scene and replied ?H-Hai??

Yuriko and Rai had been Izumi?s childhood friend. They are also the first friends Izumi made when it was her first day at the nursery. All the other children did not want to be near Izumi because Izumi has a habit where she eats tons of sugar and goes crazy after that.

The other children also don?t share the same interest as her because while they are reading ?Pokemon?, ?Digimon? and other children Mangas, she was already reading Shoujo Mangas meant for teenagers such as ?Count Cain? and ?Yami no Matsuei? which involves violence and bloodshed. The children were interested at first, but the minute they saw the content, they started crying out of fear which is also another reason they stayed away from her.

But, Yuriko and Rai saw Izumi as a kid who was different from the rest. They also like to read the Mangas that Izumi reads but does not bring them to school as their parents did not allow then to. The trio slowly got to know each other better and is soon unseperateable.
