Heero rushed into his apartment and immediately knew something was wrong. There was no sign another person had lived there; even the lace curtains were gone. He picked up an envelope from the table and opened it. Two things fell out, a note and a braid of honey-blond hair.

I'm sorry, but I can't take this any longer. I need a real commitment, not a pretend one. I'll always love you.

Heero stroked the braid longingly. He knew it. She'd never mentioned anything to him. He saw it on TV. Relena's long hair was gone, and so was she from his life.
