Requiem

Sinking in a violent sea
Crimson waters flood my soul
Drowning in the depths of passions tide

Forsaken

Just a breath to still my heart
My eyes no longer see the surface
Darkness rises and I succumb to discontent

Alone

Bound by chains of reason
Swept away by the undercurrent of sorrow
I am condemned to the deep recesses of silence

Unnoticed

Pain is a strange comfort
As familiar as the terror that grips me
And in the murky ocean of despair I am lost

Broken

I wish to speak
To break free of love?s blind affliction
I scream into the oblivion of my mind yet the words remain unheard

Voiceless

My blood runs cold
In the dark I am presented with my faults
The weight of realization pulls me deeper into the abyss

Inferior

Imprisoned by the keeper of my heart
Foolish dreams taunt the promise of freedom
Suffocating in the cold lonely waters I beg to see the light

Dying

My faith in love is gone
The will to overcome has been washed away
And in the flesh bound grave where my shattered heart beats a sad rhythm

I wait
