And you have no idea how much I agonized over whether to continue the fic before they even had sex. I very nearly scrapped it. I debated internally for several weeks before consulting some other author friends of mine for their opinions. Then I still had to go back and rewrite the lemon scenes to satisfy my conscience that Heero was a willing participant and that Relena was not in essence raping him.
It's far more complicated than I ever intended it to be (it was supposed to be a 3 part PWP finished before Christmas 2002), but I am well aware of all the issues the characters are facing and am attempting to resolve them all to the best of my abilities. I hope I don't disappoint.
I hate to break it to you, but even in the most optomistic view of the happening in Heero's office, that still wouldn't hold up in court. Technically speaking it was sexual harrassment, easily rape, the first time Heero said no. Don't worry though, what this turned into a whole lot more intresting then a three chapter excuse for Relena to get... satisfaction.
*shakes his head*
Poor, poor, poor Relena. She just doesn't seem to understand that it isn't about whether Heero was her first or not, it's about whether she used the poor guy or not. You didn't even have to include the shower scene for me to figure out what was going on with Yuy, the fact that he declined initially made me suspect that he's not the personality type that would go to a bar and brag to his buddies about how he just got laid by his boss afterwords (not that I thought he would be that type anyway).
Personally, as it stands, I feel that getting Heero jealous is a
very bad idea; the only thing that could make this situation better is communication. I know it's a popular plot device right now but in this particular situation, if I were in Heero's shoes, I would feel a lot more hurt and used then I would feel jealous of WuFei; that's just me. Of course, this raises another issue all together, society doesn't really find it acceptable for men to vent their emotions the same way as women, which just about every psycologist (sp?) or marrige help tape (my mom plays those things WAY too loud) that I've read or listened to pretty much agrees that this isn't healthy. To make matters worse, it doesn't even seem like Heero has anyone to express his anxieties to even if he wanted to, which he wouldn't because for a male this would all be very humiliating.
Anyway, before this becomes too much of a rant, I just wanted to congradualate you, Smarty Cat, on setting up an excellent and intriguing storyline.
