A sneak peak into my new pet project...

Note: Relena's alias within the story is "Celia".

?Look, sugar,? Relena's voice was lathered with heavy sarcasm as she squashed the urge to make good use of the muscles she had gained from years of lifting heavy objects. ?Don?t give me that hoity-toity load of crap. Can?t ya see that I?m in the middle of instructin? a lesson? Now be a good lil? boy and wait till after the kids have returned the horses to the stables. Then we can talk about whatever-the-hell-it-is ya want to talk to me about.? Turning away from the stoic Preventer, she resumed tacking up Ebony, silently fuming. How dare he come waltzing back into her life when she had established herself so well!

Heero, or ?sugar? as she had so quaintly put it, blinked in confusion. That hadn?t been within mission parameters. When had Relena become so self-assured to blatantly dismiss him like that? What happened to the girl who had always welcomed his presence with a gentle smile? ?She had five years,? taunted the voice within his mind. ?She could have easily gained enough confidence within that time.? He scowled. Had she no idea of how long he had spent tearing up the whole ESUN looking for her? She was going to cooperate with him.

?Relena?? he began to growl.

?Hey Celia!? Danni rode up to the unhappy pair with a mischievous twinkle in her hazel green eyes. ?Who?s the fine-lookin? stallion you?ve got here??

Relena rolled her eyes as she finished adjusting the straps of Ebony?s bridle with a decisive pat. ?Danni, this ?fine-lookin? stallion? is an arrogant, maladroit, boorish lout with no sense of chivalry or decorum who had the gall to try and pull me away from our students.? Leading Ebony a little bit away from the fence, she snugly placed her left foot on the stirrup as she gripped the pommel of the saddle and gracefully swung herself onto the mare?s back.

Heero?s jaw muscle twitched perceivably. Had he just heard correctly? Arrogant? Maladroit? Boorish lout? Who did she think she was slinging him through the mud like that? Did she think that he was going to take that sitting down? She was going to regret it, all right?

It did get my attention!

Oh... what plans does Heero have to make her regret what she said... And why is she so angry at Heero... Relena with a new identity? So many questions, only to be answered when you post the story! I think this "new pet project" is a wonderful idea, great preview!

Wow! You have me begging to read the rest of the story. Please update soon so we can see exactly why Relena is finally telling Heero off (haven't we all wanted to once or twice?) Anyway, I loved it!

Relena with that accent- oh, my . . .

He-he-he... I've been plotting to do that for a long time, to tell you the truth! I love the phrase "hoity-toity" and was dying to use it in one of my fics. So voila! This story has been graced with it!

Well, this isn't even the beginning of the fic!! It's just a snapshot of the whole picture... Besides, it's the perfect part to pick to gain people's attention...

Like I always say with my other fics, I'll update when I can. This is a particularly heavy school load year, so updates will take a while...
