A Christmas Story
Words:968...well...somewhere around there. I forgot what it was.

Yea I know this is short but that's all I could think of.




Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house. Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.

"Damn right there isn't any mouse."

Anyway.....The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, in hopes that St. Nicholas would soon be there.

Relena looked around the den and smiled. She loved Christmas, it was her favorite holiday. There in the corner stood her twelve foot tall christmas tree, decorated with every thing you could think of. Under the tree were a couple of presents, mostly for her from her friends and family. She bent down to look at them one last time. There was one from Zechs, Noin, and her nephew Carter, Duo and Hilde, Trowa and Catherine, Quatra and Dorothy, and Wufei and Sally. She sighed. Everyone had someone, even if it was just family.

She gave a great big yawn and looked at the clock.

11:23pm.

She headed for the stairs when she remembered something very important.

THE COOKIES!!!!!

Quickly she grabbed some chocochip cookies and a glass of milk. Then she left it by the fire place and finally went to sleep.



All of a sudden, I heard such a clatter and I sprung from the bed to see what was the matter.

Thump Thump Thump

Relena sprang from the bed and towards the window. A gust of cold air flew in causing her to shiver. She looked up and saw nothing.

"Could it really be Santa Claus?...Damn I need to grow up."

She then heard the thumping noises again. She listened and heard it head toward......the chimney?
Without thinking twice, she grabbed her robe and headed downstairs. She reached the den but decided not to turn the lights on. You never know, it could be some creep trying to get in. She waited until she heard things falling from the fireplace. Now come on really, what idiot would go to great lenghts to actually come down the chimney? Well, whoever it was, wasn't very bright for they must have not seen that the fire was still going.

In less then a second, something or someone fell down and then jumped back up, running around the room with it's ass on fire. Relena was too stunned to do anything but whoever it was, was getting closer so she picked up the plate with Santa's cookies on it and smashed it on the person's head just as the fire went out.

There was a groan and then a scream.

"Heero! What the hell do you think you are doing?!"

Heero gave another groan as he got up and rubbed his head. He glared at Relena but his head was moving around. He got up and looked behind him at his burned buttocks. The fire had burned through his pants and boxers and parts of his butt cheeks were showing. Thank god he was trained for this. He looked at Relena and saw her turn her head and start to blush.

Relena turned back to look at him and it was then that she noticed what he was wearing. A Santa Claus outfit, with the beard and everything.

Heero heard giggling and glared again.

"What?"

"Honestly Heero."

He grunted and went to get some ice for his head with Relena now laughing.

"Come on now Heero. What were you doing?"

"I wasn't doing anything." He said as he removed the ice from his head and towards his bottom.

Relena raised an eye brow and used her fingers to count. "One, you woke my up with the humping, I mean thumping nosies on the roof. Two, you went down my chimney and almost got your ass burned off, and three, your in a Santa Claus outfit and may I remind you, Santa isn't skinny. Now how can you tell me that you didn't do anything?"

Heero never looked at her and went towards a bag on the ground that Relena only noticed now. He came back with something in his hands but she wasn't able to see it. Why the hell did he need such a big bag for something that he could just hold in his hand, she wondered. He stood in front of her, looked at his hand, sighed and looked up at her.

"Close your eyes."

"What? Why?'

"Just close them."

She did and then felt something slide on to her left ring finger.

"You can open them now."

She looked at her hand and gasped. There was a ring. Not a very big ring, probably not beautiful to others and probably not even more then $700 but she fell in love with it. She looked back at him with watery eyes.

"I'm not the type to say anything so just give me your answer."

She looked at him, the ring and then back to him. She laughed. "You are the stupidest person I know. Coming down here and doing all of the crazy things that you did just to propose?"

"It was the only way I thought could be...good."

She smiled and threw her arms around his neck and whispered, "Took you long enough.", into his ear. He grinned and they each shared their first kiss of being engaged.

"Relena."

"Hm?"

"What do you mean I made thumping sounds?"

"You know, on the roof."

"I climbed a ladder to get to the chimney but I didn't walk all over the roof."

Relena looked at him confused and then ran back out to the tree with Heero behind her. He found her staring under the tree smiling and looked. There were more presents then before. She grabbed one and read the tag.

Heero too bent down to look and found one that said.

From: Santa

P.S.....don't try it again.

He glared at the present and Relena just kissed him after laughing about that too.

And so as he rode off into the night, he shouted, "Merry Chirstmas to all and to all a good night!"

OMG! How very creative, I really liked the twist you used on this. I still can't stop laughing at Heero's attempt to act like Santa and getting his cute bum burnt. Now all Rel has to do is be sweet and apply some nice cool aloe lotion to it hehehehehe I also liked Santa's note to Heero too.

OMG! Verry good. I nearly fell out of my chair giggleing. Good twist in the end too. I love the part where Heero gets his @$$ cought on fire. Talk about messing up a plan!
