Wan shang hao: good evening in Mandarin (I?m not sure if Wufei/Sally would speak Mandarin or Cantonese, so I took a guess. If anyone does know, could you tell me? I couldn't find it anywhere.)
Believe it or not, I happen to know a good amount of Mandarin, and in China, their main dialect IS Mandarin! With some of my relatives having moved to Taiwan, I have grown to learn the language whenever I visit them.
Oh, the ice parfaits, the manga stores, anime, technos and gizmos, I love it all! <ahem> Back to the matter at hand. Instead of "Wan Shang Hao", it is actually: "Wan An". The word "Hao" is more along the lines of "Nee Hao", meaning "Hello", as a sign of the person's well being.
