Brand-New Beta-Reader, At Your Service

Hello all! *Sweeps out and bows* It's summer, and so I'm going to have a -lot- of time on my hands . . . Does anyone care for a Beta-Reader? (Does that sound too much like "Does anyone care for a drink" to you? *Blinks innocently*)

I have no idea what the conventional Beta-Readers do, as I happen to have missed all the Beta-Readers-in-training classes. *Coughs* But, I would be willing to read and help edit anyone's fiction, doing anything from fixing grammar and spelling to being someone that will listen as you rant out ideas for new plot points. ^_^ English is my favorite class in school, and not because it's easy-- I'm actually going to be taking AP Literature next year, if that gives you any clue as to how much I love literature (and am willing to kill my social life to get college credits for it in high school.) ^.^ Moving on though . . .

I am fairly literate and so I think I'd make a good beta reader, should anyone require one! I'd love to help out anyone out that needs it. Just drop me a line, okay?

Hi, I'm not sure if your offer's still on, but I'm definitely interested. Do you reckon you could help me out? I tend to write slash more often than not, though. However, if you're held back by limes or lemons, don't you worry. ^_^ I don't touch that stuff. ^_^ Only implied relationships, and the occassional I love you (which is also rare, because it never seems to fit into the story. ^_^;; )

I mainly write on anime, but the anime that I like to write on tend to be smaller fandoms, so it's likely that you'd never have heard of them before. Which doesn't really matter, because I tend to write AUs and need to take liberties with the script, anyway. ^_^;;

So... um... do you supose you'd still be willing to beta? I've contacted a couple of people, but they never responded to my emails requesting betas, so I guess they aren't interested. Would you happen to be?
