It had been 5 years since Heero joined the Prefenters and became her personal bodyguard. He remained close to her 24/7, to make shure she was not in any form of danger. Relena had become his world, and he was more then fine with that. One thing he was not fine with today whas the fact that she was wearing a skirt shorter than he would like it to be. The cleavadge was not helping either. Heero gulped.
They were heading for some interviews with most major magazines about Relena's new Mars project. Relena really enjoyed these kind of outings for they took her of the countless meetings and the never ending paper stack on her desk. Relena signed.
The limosine ride was quite, but not unpleasent. She had gotten used to her companions silence and thaught nothing of it. They knew each other well and their trust in each other had grew over the years. Although this ride did feel a bit more tence then usual. Any normal person would not have noticed the change, but Relena had a trained eye when it came to Heero.
She opened her mouth to ask if something was wrong but he stepped out of the car before she could. She hadden't even noticed they'd stopped.
Heero opened the door for Relena as they entered the large hotel. Heero guided them to the converance room were many excited reporters had gathered. Relena scanned the room and easely counted 40 reporters, she would be here all day. Her smile grew greater, this was almost like an outing to an amusement park for her. Heero spoke, for the first time in hours; "For security reason I will need all of you to hand me your list of questions before you may speak to Miss Darlian as discussed before. "
Relena entered the room where all interviews would take place. She looked around the room and noticed the nice flowered wall paper and mohogany fireplace. This would definately be a room she would liked if she would ever stay in that hotel. She sat down on the large comfortable chair as she heard Heero call out the first name. A minute later the reporter and Heero walked in.
This went on and one until only one reporter remained. The man was in his mid twenties with blond long hair and a very attractive face. Blue eyes graced his large smile and Relena inmediately knew lots of girl would fond over this man. The yound man seated himself in the chair opposite of Relena.
"May I start by saying your looking very beautiful today Miss Darlian?" Relena giggled, Heero frowned. "Yes you may, and you may call me Relena as well."
The young man smiled and winked at her and started with the first question on his list. All were pretty ordinairy, many had been asked before by others, he also asked about her career and achievements. However he suprised both Relena and Heero when he started to sway of his list.
?s there anyone special in your life Relena?" Heero's eyes widened, Relena was taked aback but her political career had learned her never to be caught of guard so she answered. "Currently no"
"No man with a special place in your heart?"
"Well yes many, I have many male friends but that's not what your implying."
"Do you shave?" Heero's jaw dropped to the floor. Relena blushed. "Depends" She answered. "Well you know" He raised an eyebrow up and down.
Relena's eyes widened in realisation. "Well, a woman like me needs to look her best even in places one can not see." The young man nodded an smirked. Heero was nailed to the floor and dropped his bottle of water. "So just to be clear, there is no man in your life that has your romantic interest?" He asked again. "Well, yes there is but he does not feel the same for me I believe so I'm content to be just friends."
"The man must be gay then." He said resolutely as he stood up to shake Relena's hand. Relena was still pretty dumfounded by his statement and could not help but to look at Heero for a split second. Who was still occupied being stunned. The man had left the room before Heero fully returned to his senses. Relena inmediately started laughing her head of when he shut the door. "Did he just ask....?" Heero started.
"Yes he did." Relena said still whiping away her tears of laughter. "And you..." He asked. "Yes I did.." She returned. Heero just nodded and opened the door for her. As he closed the door behind him a devilish thought crept up to him. He would just have to see for himself tonight.
