Well, I finally completed chapter 1, hope you like it. I?ve been studying so much, that?s why it took me so long. Anyway, enjoy!

Chapter II


7 months before


Heero pretended to pay attention at the computer in front of him, but what he was really doing was staring at the woman across the desk. It was a hot summer day, and the air conditioner of the whole building was broken. Therefore, everybody was in a bit of a temper due to the heat, but at least a lot of clothing was little by little piling behind the chairs. In Relena?s case, the usual business coat was gone, the long- sleeved dress shirt as well, and her hair was tied in a pony tail.

Heero?s Preventers coat was gone too, but the real reason for him to be hot was the vision of Relena pacing around in her office wearing only a thin red sleeveless blouse and a black skirt. She looked very good and Heero could not avoid staring. Luckily for him, Relena was too busy reading papers to notice, but every once in a while she also looked at him. Quick glances, but it was enough for him to know that she was beginning to realize her effect on him. After she glanced at him, she would smile and laugh to herself in a sweet but very sexy way.

They had been doing this for a couple of weeks now. He would come to her office and start working there. At first was because Heero was updating her about a mission Trowa was on, but now they ate lunch together and talked for hours during work. They still got the job done, but the company was pleasant. They never ran out of subjects to talk about, whether a project Relena was working on to how Duo was always getting on Heero?s nerves.

However, during the past days they had become more silent. That was because they were both always the topic of office rumors and coworkers were always insinuating how they made a beautiful couple. It was beginning to be annoying and stressful, mainly because they both felt attracted to each other but knew that their jobs, as demanding as they were, had to be priority.

So here they were, both feeling the sexual tension and both knowing they could do nothing about it. They were both adults, both just turned 20, so they could ?do? something, but they had to be professional.

Well, perhaps doing just a little wouldn?t hurt. Relena shivered at the thought, but smiled anyways, deciding it was a welcomed choice. She would definitely think about that.

Well, maybe I shouldn?t spend so much time in here when I know what it causes. Heero frowned at the thought, realizing how comfortable he felt around her, and not wanting to avoid her now that he knew how many things they had in common.

He had to be rational tough, he had always been a loner, and he couldn?t allow Relena to be a distraction, but it felt just right to talk to her, she made an ordinary thing such as lunch special, and he couldn?t ignore how he awaited to spend more time with her.

He made a conclusion. He just had to stranghten the security so he could get as distracted as he could. He had changed so much in the past four years, and if he didn?t at least try, he would regret it. So, after making up his mind, there was just one thing to do.

?Would you like to have dinner with me tonight??. He made it sound so casual, not revealing in his voice the nervousness he felt inside. Relena continued to stare at her papers, as if not believing what she had heard. She slowly turned to see him and nodded her head. She smiled, he smiled, and they continued working.

Well, here is chapter 1. I know it?s short, but I don?t really like to write long chapters. And with this particular story, each chapter will be 1 month before the beggining of the story, so I plan to make it as short as I can so I can tell what happens next. Anyway, please post if you liked it, and if you don?t, well... goodbye.

Thanks for your comments. At first I didn?t want to post the story, but seeing that people started to like it, it encouraged me to post again. I hope I can post again soon, I have a lot of final papers to do, so I?m very busy, but I?ll do my best. Hope you like the next chapters.
