Inside colony L2-X2923 the artificial lights dimmed as to recreate a natural night on earth. In a quiet neighbor hood, all that could be seen in the street was a lone pair of headlights driving down into a driveway. After the intimidating roar of the engine died down to a purr and then silence, a few seconds passed before a man clothed in black jeans and matching t-shirt with a long honey brown braid stepped out of the car carrying 3 boxes of pizza. As he began walking to the front door, a dark form began to manifest itself across the street.
When the man reached the house, the door opened, revealing a young woman wearing a t-shirt jeans and a red beret, with dark navy hair beneath the beret and a pair of warm blue eyes. With a smile she said ?what took ya Duo??. Then she leaned forward and kissed him lightly on the cheek while taking the pizzas.
As she walked to the kitchen Duo began to follow her closing the door behind him, yet suddenly he stopped with a jerk. ?damn it? he cursed before calling ?hey Hilde, my braid is stuck in the door again.?
Hilde giggled as she put the pizza boxes on the table and said ?this is the eighth time this week?
As she went to help her incapacitated boy friend, Duo began complaining about the irony of his predicament.
?me a Gundam pilot? he said ?defeated, not by thousands of soldiers, not by hordes of mobile dolls, but by a door.?
?Well now? Hilde began to lecture ?this wouldn't happen if you would just get a haircut?
?no!? Duo said as he stroked the top of his braid ?like it says in the beatitudes, happy are those with long hair for they don't have to waist money on a barber?
?is that really in the bible?? Hilde looked at him questioningly as she finally freed Duo from the clutches of the door.
Duo sighed and said ?no it's just a joke, you really need to start coming to church with me?
Hilde just crossed her arms and replied ?Duo, you know i don't believe in any of that God spiritual stuff?
Duo just looked down at his feet for a second and said ?yeah i know,? he then smiled and looked into her warm blue eyes and said ?don't worry though I'm gonna save your soul before it's too late. But not right now cause theirs food in the kitchen.?
Hilde then put on a light smile and followed him before he ate everything. Outside however a dark cloaked figure stood across the street and chuckled before softly chanting something in Latin.
When it finished chanting it looked at the window where Duo was playfully holding a slice of pizza above Hilde's' head as she tried to reach for it. Then in an elderly voice said ?the shepherds cancer, has been found.?
