Well, here we are, while I haven't been hit by the lazy bug as of yet, and even though it's this early, well, now's the only time I have to write, so Get Off My Case!
*shakes his head* Whoa! What happened..?
Anyway, here it is...
A Short (Pre) Valentine's Story
A rumble echoed softly across the skies, a play of children of light jumping upon darkened clouds with their own little game of catch, each step a growing quake of the Earth. The remnants of light took small peeks upon the world, hiding with what could only be the tell tale signs of spring rains, dark fluffed vessels upon the skies heavy with enough moisture to end a drought. Another low shout across the skies shattered the calm before such a storm, a play to a gun that fires just before the start of a race and with the start did drops of rain fall from the skies, first a few stragglers then a whole marathon of moisture gaining with each tick of the clock.
The drum roll of rains crashed with its interlude of the school bell rocking a solitary school ground, persons from all other directions running to the gates that rocked to and fro, the chaos of winds breathing heavily upon the world.
A single figure stood alone in silence upon the open road, just beyond the creaking gates; under the rains did tendrils of smoke escape his lips, drops of water flowing upon the side of his head. A sigh escaped his lips upon the moment a lit stick moved up from his hand, lightly tapping upon his lips before his breath took in a heavy stream from the smoke, the lit end flaring slightly with the sound of burning paper before the dark puff moved from his expression, a blank silence as he stood.
His eyes moved upon the gates, now loose and open, with only the few female students left to fend for themselves across the rains, their voices mixed of laughter and panic as they rushed through muddied roads with steps splashing and sloshing of sluggish leaps. His eyes remained upon them, a familiarity moving over him, his head moving slowly upon them, counting for familiarity?s sake that those he knew, acquaintances at best, were complete.
One less?
A whisper of dark air escaped his lips with a heavier spray of rains, a sigh that moved as an exclamation point with words of disappointment, shaking his head slowly with the thought. Ashes flitted down upon the floors, with not a trace upon reaching the carpet of moisture, his free hand upon his forehead, moving to relieve of irritation of tickling waters. His brow furrowed slowly with wonder, the rains seeming to fall silent around him, a swear that rang across the narrow path and brought out a soft voice from behind him.
?You sure have a foul mouth.? The voice moved upon him, a motion for him to turn around, upon his sight was a young woman holding an umbrella just above his head, ?You know, holding this up is really making my arm cramp up.?
A smile moved slowly across his face, flicking the lit stick off to the far wall before his hand reached for the umbrella, his voice barely even competing with the rains, ?Don?t belittle yourself there??
His hand moved upon her head, a motion that moved his limb only to chest length, the smile widening for the slightest bit with a voice of monotony, or mockery as the case may be, ?Ah? Sorry? You are little??
She swatted off his arm, narrowing her eyes with a turn, her form moving a step just upon the edge of the umbrella?s shadow, returning her stance to him, she voiced, ?What are you waiting for??
He raised a brow, moving a step by her, though more of a step before her with their motion that carried them across the narrow mud, and with the usual sense of insensitivity with a tint of playfulness, he voiced out, ?So, growing shorter day by day, I see. Ah well, I?ll grow to live with that? some day??
?What do you mean ?some day??? She voiced back with a slight whine, taking a heavy leap that splashed back water towards him, smiling with the act, her voice continued, ?I?m still young!?
?Thought growth for women stopped when they were nineteen..?? He moved a long step beside her, shaking the wet off from his pants with a few that reached her legs, breathing out across the world as if to announce a secret, ?And you?re twenty now..!?
She pivoted her form, glaring at him for a moment, their steps paused and silence fell through once again. Even with the furrow of her brow, he could only smile, a slow smile that turned into soft laughter, and with the humor did she smile as well, shaking her head slowly with a swat against his arm.
?Movie?? She whispered under her breath, a sigh moved her eyes upon the blanket of water around them, a sorrowed expression for the moment that passed.
He stood silent, her form following the pause a step after, her eyes and form still far from looking upon him. A crackle of thunder leapt across the skies; bring the gift of soft illumination upon them just with the moment the skies grew darker, filled with fluff of gray.
He breathed out a heavy sigh, shaking his head slowly with a step to her side, voicing without batting a glance towards her, ?Your friends really don?t know how to shut up? do they..?? Turning upon his step, he moved before her, lifting her chin up with his free hand, a disappointed smile that followed his voice, ?Yes, I was planning a video for you, no, you can?t know what it?s about, and yes, it?s for Valentine?s?? He raised his brow, a soft glisten of water, ?Happy..??
She gently moved his hand down, trying to hide a smile that could only escape, a laughter that rumbled upon her throat, heaving her chest slightly as it grew, a slight tear moved upon her eye, her hand brushing it off with a smile towards him, ?I said I wanted to see a movie??
His eyes widened, his breath held back for a moment, a swear escaping his lips though her hand moving gently upon his, wrapping around the umbrella as well brought the objection to silence, her form moving to tip toes, a light brush of her lips against his cheek, a whisper upon his ear, ?I only wish that it was still a surprise now??
He shook his head slowly with her motion back to a stand, a shrug from his shoulders expressed what he wanted to say, a forced smile, or more of a smile that spoke wordlessly, ?I?m screwed??
The dark clouds dissipated upon the moment, the drum solo of rains falling silent to the harmonious flute of the day?s final light, flowing gentle warmth around them that signaled her laugh to sing again. Pulling the umbrella to a close, she stared up to the skies, a clearing of the canvas of light blue and hues of orange and red that patterned the sky.
She turned and quickly ran off; a few steps resonated just as she reached the road?s end, a wooden bridge changed the tune, a turn that made him take a step back, her voice reaching towards him, ?C?mon! Movie! We?re late!?
He eased his shoulders, a heavy sigh that pushed down upon his lungs, gritting his teeth to hold back a swear, the laugh that became his sanctuary. He moved closer to her, the sun wrapping his form in a silent glow, creating a sense of haze that enveloped her as well.
He voiced just by her as they continued their step, with one final that reached the bridge?s ramp, his voice to the side, ?Your treat??
She rolled her eyes, slapping his arm with the wet umbrella; her arm followed through, wrapping around his, sliding down upon his hand, their fingers lacing with her head moving to rest upon his arm.

A Short (Pre) Valentine's Story
A man is not a man until he has accessed his raw untamed energy and takes pleasure to his capacity to fight and defend himself. Only then can he transform his blind rage into power to commit himself, to handle tensions and to make difficult decisions. Inner security also develops. It is based on his realization that whatever goes wrong, he can get help from his inner resources, from the basic energy of his aggression.
