alright, so last night I was listening to "De roos" from Ann Christy (most of you will know it as The Rose from Bette Midler, but Ann Christie made a gorgeous dutch cover of this song) And the song always reminds me of my mother because she loved this song and I felt like writing this poem. So this Poem is for her.
It's still untitled
It?s a strange thing called fate
Which turned love into hate
Trust into distrust
Loved ones into dust
It was a cruel thing called time
Which took all that was mine
Discourage all religion
Death our loved one
You were the hand that led us into the journey
The kindness you shared held the key
We walk alone from now on
No easy way to say you?re gone
Even if the path seems long and joyless
We will follow it without digress
Even if no star will shine
We will grow up to be just fine
farewell
