Note: Still the intro so not much of the KH'ey goodness here as of yet, but it will come, don't worry.
Kingdom Hearts: Embrace of Sacrifice
Prologue
Kino?
The voice echoed softly across the distance, dancing with the silent whisper of the winds in its own crescendo, carrying the tone out to the open waves, to the ocean deep reflecting the cascading sun-fall upon the horizon, a shimmer of stars upon the blue sea that smiled back to its parent skies. Rushing waves held the base of the symphony, playing upon the docks of a small island town, creak of wooden planks the alto, playing for each moment in alteration to the bass, a chase of sorts reaching with the song of the winds.
Kino?
The winds caught the words upon its motherly grasp, pulling it over a silent figure, his form lying upon the wooden docks in a semblance of comfort, pulling against his hair slightly in ruffles of waves, the voice moving over him slowly, creeping around his form for moments. The crease upon his forehead marked the acknowledgement; eyes closed moved even tighter together with a slight grimace, a grunt under his throat echoed the frustration of waking up. His eyes moved to open only to return to its hiding, the light, soft as it is upon this scene, still flashed against his stare, his vision slowly dissolving the distortion, the scene melting around him for a moment, the crimson-orange haze that painted the skies of blue. The winds moved silently over him, speaking of silent wishes and thoughts of solace, with his eyes forced to open did the canvas reveal itself, making hushed tones of white and blue played with the brighter colors, chasing each other around the play of heaven.
Kino?
His eyes moved to close once again, a slow blink to melt what remained of the blur, slow in the darkness did the name rush upon his ears and for a moment, the canvas changing itself to a figure upon his sight?s return, a dark-haired young girl looking over him with a soft smile playing upon her lips. Her eyes upon him in a curve almost of laughter and that moment she held it back in a smile the quivered, his face moving a bit closer to his, the same playful smile forced itself into an escape of a laugh.
?Wake up, Kino!? she spoke against the winds that rushed, lifting her hair slowly across her face, fingers that slowly moved raven hair behind her ear, her attention shifting from him to the setting sun, plopping down to her seat by him, a thud of an expression and an exclamation point of the force under her breath, ?Ow??
He sat up quickly, crossing his legs in his seat, a long grunt and breath with a yawn to the skies and a stretch upon the transition breeze of day to night, a time when the winds did no more reach for the island but reached out to the endless blue of waves. He smiled to himself upon the horizon, the sun taking a peek like some child in hide-and-seek, looking over a low wall that the child had hidden to, so did the sun take the moment to say to the world a silent ?goodnight.?
The cold light moved upon them, the moon at its fullest reflecting upon the waters, a spotlight to the two that sat upon the wooden planks held together on the sea shore with shadows that played with their reflections, most that held motion were from the play of the winds. A long time of silence passed between them, a bridge of a gap between them close enough yet still far away and each moment did they give each other a small gaze and a laugh would escape upon the winds, breaking the solemn song of the waves, yet not a word was made, probably that it wasn?t needed.
?Lyn?? he spoke with a sigh, shaking his head with his motion to a stand, placing a hand upon her head, slight pressure that moved his form to lean against her sit, a tone that gained force though it held the reservation, the playfulness that followed it, ?What made you think that it was such a great idea to wake me up?!?
She squinted her eyes slightly upon the force of his hand, her eyes making a comment as she moved her gaze up to him, speaking in silence, words that did not make any sound, releasing the hold upon her stand, about half his height in her stand, breaking the silence with a laugh, a tone that followed raised slightly above their voices, above the grumble of her stomach, ?I?m hungry! You?ll treat me to some squid skewers!?
He raised his brow, a resist in his expression, with his lips apart and an arm that reached around her shoulder, about to speak only to reserve itself, his head shaking slowly with lips that formed words without any sound, ?No way.?
He moved his hand away; turning out to the stairs down to the sandy beach that spanned all around the small island, steps that tapped upon the wood was followed by a quicker step as she moved to his side, closer in step by him with eyes that showed a command to follow her.
His eyes narrowed slightly, a brow raised in question with his voice to her back, his hands moving upon his pockets, fidgeting around in the moment for his pouch, his tone bearing a form of resignation, ?Okay, I?ll bite. Where are we going??
Her form turned slightly to him, her hair lifting across her face that accented her smile with a wave of the night upon the two, her arm raised, pointing across the ridge to the point of light, the winds carrying her voice to him, ?Skewer hut, of course!? without another glance did she turn around, moving her arms behind her with a step that danced against the sand.
He rolled his eyes, gaining a bit of speed to her side once again, his form turning all the way around with steps backwards, a way that he looked upon her with a walk in the same path, shaking his head slowly with eyes widened, ?You?re kidding right? Besides, you?re the one who has munny there!?
She paused upon her padded step; a second followed before the second pair of steps stopped itself, her form leaning closer to him to make her words clear, her body folding at the waist with arms fisted upon to where her shirt ended and her shorts began, ?I only have enough for the ferry to my home, alright? I barely have 60 munny in my pocket here!? She shook her head, passing him with a step, a skip that turned her form to him in a moment that passed, ?Besides, you treating me would give us more time.?
His eyes remained upon her for a moment that passed quickly before shaking his head from the daze, quicker steps padded upon the sand to her side, before which did he mumble under his breath, ?Give us more time, huh??
Their steps took them to the shack with its huge cartoon squid upon a billboard almost as big as the shack itself, locked shut without an owner in sight and a sign that played with the winds, flipping slightly with taps of hardwood:
?Out to Party! Be back in the morning.?
A sigh escaped both their lips simultaneously, both of them turning upon their feet, moving on to the lower docks of the sandy beach, his voice moving between them with his arms behind his head in a heavy yawn, ?I wish I could to a party??
?Host one!? She said almost as quickly as the thought had made itself known, a soft laugh from her smile followed the words, turning her head to meet his questioning gaze.
?Yeah, right!? He retorted with a frustrated sigh, shaking his head in vigor with words that softened itself upon its delivery, his head turning with its end, ?Just had enough munny for the skewer you wanted?? His though trailed off with a deep breath to the cold air.
She smiled softly; her lips parting to speak with words that were broken by a far away horn, the light and bell of a faraway ferry broke the silence and solace with its motion breaking the canvas of the skies upon the water. The waves drowned with its motion, the motor echoing upon the beach, the symphony ending itself with ripples that replaced the flow of water across to them, the water reaching the tip of their shoes for a moment before it reached the lower docks, another bell that signaled its stop.
A few moved off from the boat, some chattering and laughing, others holding their baggage close, a tired look upon their eyes with a motion of thanks to their destination now that rest is close. One woman moved by the two of them, waving slightly with a smile towards the two as the girl waved back, her hand, in a fluent motion, moving her hair behind her ear once again.
He raised his brow; turning his eyes toward her while she looked upon the woman for a moment longer before returning her eyes towards him, speaking through her smile, ?My cousin.?
?Ah?? He nodded to himself as the two of them remained in their stance with a few left to leave the boat, and a crowd that formed to get in, his voice once again moving through between them with a voice that played in its tone, ?Why is she tall??
A laugh escaped her lips, slapping his arm with a playful mad expression, ?Why? I?m going to be tall too! I?m still young!?
?Thought girls stopped growing when they become nineteen?? He spoke back, his hand moving above her head, patting her slowly, the joke had made its home with the narrow of her eyes, a smile with the smallest of contempt in a way to speak that he will get what he deserved with that comment.
The expression lightened as she gave him a final smile, a final goodbye for the night, her hand waving towards him; his voice trailed her form as she pulled herself up the deck of the ferry, a slow smile curled upon his lips, ?Keep safe, Lyn! Don?t go wandering off! Drink your milk!?
She turned her head towards him, a smile laughed across her expression, a voice that spoke back to him, the winds that carried her tone, ?Kino, thanks!?
Before the ferry could even leave, he turned towards the north of the beach span, his steps padded and accompanied by the rush of the motor, his form lit under the moonlight that rushed upon the seas and reflected upon him, shadows that played with his reflection in his motion that the winds followed softly until the motor silenced itself with distance.

Kingdom Hearts Alt - Embrace of Sacrifice
A man is not a man until he has accessed his raw untamed energy and takes pleasure to his capacity to fight and defend himself. Only then can he transform his blind rage into power to commit himself, to handle tensions and to make difficult decisions. Inner security also develops. It is based on his realization that whatever goes wrong, he can get help from his inner resources, from the basic energy of his aggression.
