CBF:

Genre- um…series, romance….might be something else, oh and Alternate Universe.
Warnings- there might be some slight OOC, but I’ve tried to make it as real as real is possible in this kind of fic.
A/N- as always, ENJOY!!!!!!!!

Relena was extremely bored. She had nothing to do and the sky just wouldn’t give up raining. It was getting dark and as her over-protective mother put it, it was too dangerous for a young girl like herself to go out unaccompanied in such weather and darkness.
Despite her constant complaining and suggestions that as she, Demeter, was the Goddess of Agriculture, then maybe she could put a stop to this foul weather. As of course the plants could stand one day without water, just this once. However, Demeter cared for the environment and wouldn’t be persuaded by her daughter’s cunning words.
“Besides,” Demeter had said, “arrogant men might try to take advantage of you and then discard you like you don’t matter. We can’t have that can we.”
Relena had agreed with that point, but it still didn’t take away the increasing boredom and loneliness that she presently felt.
Suddenly, an idea flashed through her mind. Glancing through the window she saw that the rain had finally stopped and the mist was clearing. Maybe, she wouldn’t be so bored after all. Demeter was in one of those Gods and Goddesses meetings that she had not been permitted to attend. And wouldn’t be back for another- Relena stole a quick glance at the clock by her bed- 1 hour. ‘Yes! This might actually work!’
And it wasn’t as if she was going to be unaccompanied, Hilde would be there with her. Determined to carry out her plan, Relena gently opened the window and climbed out.

Heero sat up on the back of his griffon straightening his tired and stiff back. Hours of flying had done him no good, but he wouldn’t admit that. He was already late for the meeitn with Zeus, but it wasn’t as though he was going to turn up anyway. He never did.
Heero breathed a silent curse as a strong gust of wind unexpectedly blew past him, ruffling his already messy, brown hair. “Almost there Thetto,” he comforted his ride and companion, gently stroking its golden feathers.
Thetto was his best friend. Even though he was an animal, he wasn’t any ordinary one at that. For one thing he was a griffon and they in themselves were a rare find; and secondly he could talk. Besides, Heero found it easier to confide in him than those blundering, buffoons down in the underworld. Noo, they couldn’t be called friends, just a bunch of servants only fit to be ordered around. Nothing more.
Besides, Thetto had saved his life a countless number of times; what had they ever managed to do for him? Nothing.
“Heero, I see something moving below us.” Thetto softly squawked, breaking the silence. Without waiting for a reply he added, “I’ll fly down so we you can get a better look, shall I?” It was more of a statement than a question.
Swooping down low, Thetto smoothly glided in the sky, circling the moving being below them.
Heero gasped at what he saw. “She’s…she’s so…beautiful.” What he saw was a girl with hair the colour of fresh wheat that had just been harvested, and bright, determined sea-blue eyes. Eyyes so beautiful that a man could drown in them, let alone a God.
Hearing Heero gasp, Thetto instantly knew what had happened. “I’ll land….away from her so as not to scare her. I’ll be around if you need me. Just call.”
Even before the griffon’s talons had touched solid ground, Heero had released his grip on the huge creature and jumped down, running towards the swiftly moving girl as though his life depended on it.

Relena had been walking for what seemed like hours, though only ten minutes ahd gone by. Allthough the rain had long since stopped the ground was still slippery and muddy. Some time ago while she had been climbing a hill, she had stepped on a loose stone and fell into a very wet and disgustingly, muddy pool of water.
Presently she lumbered on thanking heavens that no one was around to see her in the distressing state that she was in, and wishing to the stars that she hadn’t been so foolish as not to heed her mother’s now wise-sounding warnings. ‘Well, I can always clean up when I get to Hilde’s,’ she thought. This warm idea brought a warm, hopeful smile on her face.
Then, something caught her attention, it sounded a lot like something or someone was coming towards her. Relena stood motionless, careful not to even breathe, lest she endangered herself even more. ‘Why oh why, didn’t I listen to mother!’
Relena was too frightened to go on. Judging from where she was, she still had very far to go before she reached Hilde’s house. And it had started drizzling again. ‘I still have thrity minutes to get back home, before mother finds me missing.’ She thought. So turning sharply around, she skidded and slid, walked and scrambled back down the stony hill; when….
WHAM!!!!!! Relena hit something hard, the force throwing her back into another smelly mud pool. “Great, this is just not my day!” She grumbled, unconsciously out loud, while rubbing a bruise that was beginning to form on her arm. She felt a bit weak and dazed by the force of the bump. All of a sudden her exhaution caught up with her.
“Night actually.” A deep male voice said from above her.
Looking up at the person that towered over her, Relena saw a tall man with unruly dark hair and cold Prussian blue eyes. One by one her mothers words were beginning to come true. And all of a sudden her brilliant idea didn’t seem so brilliant.
Before she lapsed into a world of complete unconciousness, Relena felt two strong arms wind themselves around her waist and pick her up; but she was helpless to defend herself.
A/N- in case you don’t know, Demeter is the Greek God of Marriage and Agriculture. I’m not sure if I’m going to use Zechs in this fic, but then again I might.
So anyway I hope you enjoyed this one (its been a long time I’ve written a fic…excluding the contest). So please, please, please, please- I’ll keep going on if you want- review this fic cos what you say may well determine whether or not I continue this ^_-, besides, how else am i gonna improve? Anyway, be it good or bad, REPLY, REPLY, REPLY!!!!!!!!!
Thankyou!
