Chapter 6

/*- Years have now passed. Everyone has gotten older and stronger in the ninja arts. Over the past years, Hinata had passed the different exams and finally made it to Jounin level. She now had her own team to train and do missions with. Naruto on the other hand, didn?t advance in rank as fast as Hinata but he was still looked high upon since he was trained by Jiraiya. He advanced in the ANBU considering the past years he became very good at controlling his chakra and also found out his different elements of his chakra. After gaining experience from the ANBU, he later passed all of the tests and advance to Jounin. Now every chance that Hinata and Naruto were in the village together, they spent every second they could together. This really made Naruto think about what he should do to take their relationship to the next step. He was thinking about marriage. He had already talked it over with the Hokage and she said, ?Naruto, we all know how great of a ninja you are now, but if you want to become the next Hokage, we need to know if you can actually settle down and have a family considering that the entire village would be, theoretically, your family. We have to know if you could do that; run a family that is.? -*/

?Hokage-sama, something terrible has happened!? said one of the Hokage?s assistants. Tsunande looked up from her paper work and asked, ?What has happened?? ?It?s Hinata?s team. They?ve returned but without Hinata. They were ambushed just north of the Fire country returning from their latest mission by some rouge nin. The kids barely got back here. They are in horrible condition but able to talk about what happened. They said that there were at least 30 of them. They were able to hold off on their own, and took down some of the rouge ninja that attacked them. But they said that the real target was Hinata. Hinata told them to come here and get help. Now she is missing and I?m afraid that the rouge ninja were probably after the Byakugan.? The Hokage was sitting there with a stern expression on her face taking it all in and then finally said, ?Then we need to find her and get her back. I know the best person for the job. Get me the Captain of the ANBU! HURRY!!!?

Naruto was sitting on top of one of the gates that went into the village. He was smiling, recalling the past and all of the experiences that he had. He couldn?t wait till Hinata to get back with her team to propose to her. Suddenly, one of the Hokage?s assistants appeared next to him. He said, ?Captain, the Hokage needs to see you immediately.? Naruto didn?t like the tone of the assistant?s voice. He stood up and raced over to the Hokage?s office. He entered the room and Tsunandae said, ?Captain you can take off your mask here.? Naruto nodded and took off his fox ANBU mask. ?Naruto do you know why I called you here?,? she asked. ?You have an important mission for me, already? Wow that was fast; one day I get back and I?m already needed again. Well what is it?,? replied Naruto. The Hokage looked at Naruto, I guess he doesn?t know yet, ?Naruto this isn?t something to take lightly. One of the Jounins is missing and we need you to find them.? Naruto asked, ?Who is it? Is it Lee or Kiba?? The Hokage looked down, ?No, its;? Naruto was thinking to himself, please don?t be Hinata please don?t be. ?It?s Hinata. She?s missing. She and team were ambushed by some 30 rouge nin and only her team returned in horrible condition to get help.? Naruto?s blue eyes widen, ?NO where is she. How could she have gotten lost?? He rambled on like that since he didn?t know what to say until the Hokage said, ?ENOUGH! Stop talking NARUTO. I need you to settle down and act like the Captain you are.? Naruto took a deep breath and then looked at the Hokage again. ?Naruto you?re the only one here that can go look for her. Everyone else is away with their own missions which was why I called you in. I need you to find her and bring her back here,? said the Hokage. Naruto replied solemnly and a little angry ?Yes, ma?am.? Naruto didn?t know that someone else was in the office with the Hokage and him until the figure walked out of the shadows. It was Hinata?s father and he said, ?Captain Uzumaki, please find my daughter and bring her back to me. She is very important to me.? Naruto nodded his head with his eyes tearing up because he was picturing the worst end case scenario for Hinata. The Hokage looked at Naruto and said, ?She?s north of the Fire Country.? Naruto nodded and put his mask back on. He immediately turned and left the complex in a flash. God speed, Naruto, thought Tsunande. Naruto was flying through the trees getting out of the village. In a blink of an eye he was already out the village and moving at incredible speed north out of the Fire Country. He was so full of rage and worry that didn?t even see the traps that were laid down to slow pursuers. The exploding tags went off with a big bang but it didn?t shake Naruto one bit. The exploding tags did do one thing though; it notified the rouge ninja that someone was coming after them. Naruto caught a whiff of Hinata?s scent through his mask and immediately stopped. He looked around, Hinata where are you? Suddenly a kunai came out of no where and Naruto dodged it with ease. He turned around to see who it came from, but no one was there. He decided that he would go in that direction that the kunai came from. Even though it?s a trap, it?s probably the only way to find Hinata, he thought. He ran in that direction and then saw a figure on the ground. He hopped down to the ground and went closer to the figure. It was Hinata. She had passed out from fighting the rouge ninja because she lost so much chakra using her jutsus to protect her team. Naruto propped her head up and Hinata woke a little, ?Naruto, is that you?? ?Yes, Hinata. It?s me. You need to be quite now. Save your strength,? said Naruto sadly. He wasn?t sure if she was okay or not then he felt a sharp pain in his back. He reached around a pulled out a kunai that was thrown at him. Then he looked up into the branches and saw the ninja who threw it at him. The ninja said, ?For the captain of the ANBU, you think that you would be better aware of your surroundings and the intent to kill.? The ninja started to laugh at Naruto which only made him angrier about the situation. ?Who are you,? asked Naruto. ?It?s none of your concern Naruto,? said the ninja. ?How do you know my name?,? replied Naruto. The ninja laughed, ?Once again it?s not of your concern, but I will tell you that we have been watching you for awhile and your girl there too. And now we finally decided to act on our plan.? Naruto shouted, ?SHUT UP!,? and charged at the rouge ninja screaming. An intense battle ensued between the captain of the ANBU and the rogue ninja. Kicks and punches were thrown at each other and Naruto used his shadow clone jutsu. His plan was on trying to tire the enemy out to make his move and take him in for questioning. But during the battle he didn?t know that the rouge ninja had created a copy which then the copy went over to where Hinata was lying and stabbed her in the chest with a poisoned tipped kunai. Naruto heard a shriek and turned toward Hinata only to see that the knife was in her chest and that she was bleeding now. Naruto ran to her side and was trying to get an answer from her when the rouge ninja threw 8 kunai which all landed in Naruto?s back. The kunai penetrated deep but not deep enough to do any damage. Naruto placed Hinata down and said in a low angry tone, ?How could you do that to her?? All he heard was laughter coming from the rouge ninja. Then the ninja said, ?Well she killed my brothers so it is just compensation for my loss. There is now a poison running through her blood stream and she only has a matter of time till she dies.? Naruto was sitting there next to Hinata on his knees, with his temper growing. Finally he couldn?t take it anymore and he snapped. Naruto shouted and looked up toward the sky. He immediately was surrounded with red chakra which was getting bigger and bigger with every passing moment.

- The Hokage knew something bad was going to happen which was why she called in her best assistant, Sakura. Sakura came in and said, ?What?s the problem?? Tsunande looked at Sakura and said, ?As you know Naruto went after Hinata. I?m expecting something bad happening which is why I'm sending you to his location. He?s just north of the Fire Country.? ?Okay,? replied Sakura. She didn?t know what was going on at the time. She was out of the village and almost at the boarded of the country when she saw a huge explosion. Ohhh shit, she thought and stepped up into high gear trying to get to the scene as fast as she could. ?

Naruto was completely encased with his red charka which was flowing around him like water. The chakra created a flash of bright light and an explosion which cleared a lot of the trees in the area which the fight was taking place, and also disintegrated his ANBU mask that he was wearing. Naruto was looking around for the ninja when he spotted him being stupefied by the chakra which was emanating from Naruto. Apparently the rouge ninja didn?t know what he got himself into when he did this. Naruto, whose eyes were now in the beast form and glowing red, said, ?I? WILL? NEVER? FORGIVE? YOU!!!!? In a quick flash Naruto crossed about 3 kilometers in distance which was where the ninja was hiding. Naruto went behind the ninja and turned him around. He punched the rouge ninja squarely in the stomach which made the ninja fly into the middle of where they were fighting before. (Now it is just a treeless circle about 4 kilometers in diameter.) ?TIME TO DIE!!!,? shouted Naruto in a animal roar. Naruto ran towards the rouge ninja, creating four shadow clones. The clones spread out around the downed ninja and one by one they said, ?U?, ?Zu?, ?Ma?, ?Ki?, while hitting the ninja up into the air. Then everything got quiet, then suddenly there was the sound of birds chirping and Naruto shouted, ?CHIDORI RASENGAN RENDAN!? (Over the past years Naruto was able to learn Chidori and he learned how to place it inside of his Rasengan. He then came up with the move that he is using now.) Naruto placed the ball of chakra and lightning directly into the rouge ninja?s stomach. All that you could hear was a trace of a scream as the rouge ninja vaporized by the amazing amount of chakra. Naruto hit the ground with the Chidori Rasengan which made a gigantic creator in the ground. Sakura was now approaching and saw the creator being made. Naruto stood there for a moment, the red chakra fading away, and wondering what just happened then he remembered Hinata! Naruto ran out of the creator becoming his old self again and he came up to Hinata and knelt down to her. He picked up her head and said, ?HINATA can you hear me?? He looked down at the ground and saw that there was already a good amount of blood lost. ?Hinata, Hinata! PLEASE, Say something!? Naruto said through the tears running down his face. Then he heard a voice call out his name, but this one was different than Hinata?s. ?Naruto? the voice said, ?Lay her down and let me stop the bleeding.? Naruto looked up and saw a pink-headed girl and said, ?SAKURA!?

Sakura looked at Hinata and then looked up back at Naruto and said, ?Lay her down Naruto, so I can treat her.? Naruto nodded and laid Hinata on the ground. Sakura pulled out the kunai and placed it aside. She then placed her hands over the wound and her hands started to glow blueish green with her Chakra. She said, ?Thank God.? ?What is it, Sakura?,? asked Naruto. Sakura looked up at him and said, ?It was a good thing that I got here when I did or else she would have died. The kunai just missed her vitals but she did lose a good amount of blood. And I noticed that there is poison in her which I?ve stopped the flow of it through her body, so that should be okay. I?m patching her up now but she?s going to need surgery to make sure everything heals properly.? Hinata coughed and Naruto and Sakura looked down at her. Sakura stopped her healing process and said to Naruto, ?Hokage-sama has an operating room waiting for you. Take Hinata back as fast as you can. Go!? Naruto nodded and picked up Hinata in his arms and said, ?Thanks, Sakura.? Sakura replied yelling at him, ?Thank me later, GO NOW!? Naruto took off with blazing speed back towards the village. He knew that without Sakura, Hinata would have been a goner. He was grateful for having a friend like her. Then he heard a weak voice, ?Naruto?? Naruto looked down at Hinata. She was regaining consciousness; Naruto smiled at her and said, ?Hinata, everything is going to be okay. Just rest now.? Hinata closed her eyes as she fell unconscious again. Naruto leaped tree to tree and finally came to the north main gates to the village. He was passing people, pushing them out of the way, as he made his way down the streets to the hospital. As he entered the hospital, Tsunande was waiting for him, and brought Naruto and Hinata to the O.R. She told Naruto to lay Hinata down on the table and said that everything was going to be okay now, but that he had to wait out in the waiting during the operation. Naruto nodded and proceeded to the waiting area when Sakura just arrived and passed Naruto in a hurry. She gave him a little smile which Naruto knew that everything was going to be okay now.

Naruto sat down in one of the waiting chairs. He gave a big sigh and placed his head into his hands. ?So how is she, Captain?,? said a voice. Naruto looked up to see that Hiashi was walking into the room and sat down next to him. ?She?s going to be okay now, Sir,? said Naruto. Hiashi smiled in his old age and said, ?Thank you, Naruto.? There was silence between the two. They knew that there was nothing to talk about. Suddenly the operating light switched off and Sakura walked out first. As she passed Naruto who was in the waiting she gave him a big smile and two thumbs up. Naruto took that it went well. Then Tsunande walked out, with her usual emotionless face when she comes out of surgery, and came over to the waiting room. Naruto and Hiashi both stood. Tsunande looked at them both and then smiled. She said, ?As Sakura explained to Naruto before, the kunai did miss her vitals but it did penetrate deep enough that we needed to operate on it to make sure that the healing process would be smooth. I also got rid of the poison in her so that?s taken care of. Hinata?s in fair condition now but I want her to stay here for about 2 days because of her great chakra loss. Okay?? Hiashi smiled and said, ?Thank you, Hokage-sama.? Naruto immediately ran over and hugged Tsunande saying, ?Thank you Granny!? She wasn?t expecting that and slowly hugged him back saying, ?Why don?t you go to her room and visit her. She should be up soon.? Naruto nodded and ran towards the main desk to find the room number. Hiashi walked over to Tsunande who was watching Naruto run down the hall to the stairs. He asked her, ?So, when do you think he will propose?? The Hokage looked over at Hiashi and said, ?Soon.? Naruto ran down the hall and found the room that Hinata was in. He put his hand on the handle and took a deep breath. He knocked once and heard a voice say, ?Come in.? Naruto opened the door to see Hinata sitting up looking at him with bandages around her chest. Naruto stood in the door way, tears welling in his eyes. He ran over to Hinata?s bed side and placed his arms around her saying, ?I'm so sorry Hinata. I never should of let that happen to you.? Hinata replied, ?Its okay Naruto. It was only a cut. And I?m fine now, really.? Naruto smiled and looked into her eyes. She then asked, ?Naruto, before I blacked out, I remember a bright light. What was that?? Naruto took a deep breath and then started to tell her the fight that happened between him and the last rouge ninja.
