Dear Heero,

Hi... it's me again. I just need your opinion... what kind of part-time job (and on weekends, I hope) should I consider getting even though I'm still 15?

Can I even have a job for my age? And where do you think I can find one, if ever?

Thanks.
You might want to see what age fast food hires at, over where I live I can get a job at Chick-fila or Sonic at 14 and a half :-P

I'm dying in my one little way
I ran to the end
and now I'm hanging by a thread
The blood is pooring down
and I can't move to try
Will you save me
Will you save me
and protect me till the end
just hold me up
and stop the blood from flowing

Snobby customers. Hellish working conditions. Snobby management. The stories I could tell you.... GAH! The memories! Make them stop!

If you ever had a desire to be treated like the biggest piece of trash in the entire universe, work fast food. Your desire will surely be satiated.

I will admit there are a few, a small few, that aren't so bad but they are hard to find and hard to get into.

Also people, please remember that Heero is a very busy man. He gets to your questions when he can. He isn't snubbing anyone or ignoring any question. He's not malicious like that.

But he is a man and he forgets. Or he gets easily distracted. What can you do but be patient?

OK. I know I'm not Heero but I'm gonna go for it, anyways... :D

It's an unspoken rule that when you wanna find something really quick and not minding the accuracy/inaccuracy of it then, GOOGLE it!

...and that's where I got this little bit...Here's the French part you're looking for:

oui monsieur bonjour coquette,
uh huh croissante vous a ver,
maurice chevalier effeil tower,
oh oui maria bagette bon soir,

...my French is terribly rusty and almost non-existent ..so, here's a VERY loose and crappy translation...it's actually kind of like a gibberish...

yes, hello flirty mister,
uh huh croissante (?) you see,
maurice knight effeil tower,
oh yes maria bagette (?) good
evening,

(I think they're actually referring to the pastries 'cuz you know, the song's about a 'toast')

Anyone who speaks French, feel free to correct me on this... AnyHOO, for those interested, here's where I got the lyrics:

"People who want to die, hurry up and die. You're wasting good air."

Ya! I totally agree! I once had this job wherein I was put under some sort of a "gossip" initiation by my fellow co-workers and this one stupid manager....They accused me of giving them an attitude and being demanding!...lol..for all I know, they're just a bunch of jealous effing-wads...I mean, how can you possibly be demanding when you're new on the job and never worked fast food before...

Well, I know their reasons....'crab' mentality is what it was!....I can't even begin to tell you without me blurting out insults and obscenities..so, before I get carried away, I better stop...

AnyHOO, speaking of bad management...working in fast food is not worth it for the following reasons but is not limited to:

1. Low pay..in Canada, you get a starting of $6.50 for no previous work experience and $8.00 for the standard....not worth it for the amount of physical work and emotional/psychological trauma you're about to get...

2. You are only entitled to a 30-minute UNPAID break for a minimum of a 6-hour shift.

3. The uniform's absolutely degrading....can't they come up with a better colour scheme or something..Go to Wendy's! Look at some of their uniforms! A bright light green and bright yellow shirt is no way to make you feel like you're worth anything...at least McD's trying...A&W's shirt?...ah, don't even get me started with that...

What I'm thinking is that maybe, that's part of their so-called marketing strategy...they make their employees look pitiful and degrading so that their beloved 'cash machines' would feel more better about themselves even though, they could be just as pathetic and the said machines would be able to vent out some of their frustrations in life on US! Now, that should sell! ..free therapy? what more can anyone ask for?

4. and oh! Did I mention the stink?! You would need to bathe in Lysol to get the greasy smell off your hair!

5. and I know this is ridiculous and not every fast food is guilty of this but have you noticed the lighting? It's flourescent lights for pete's sake!...Anyone would look like crap with that kind of light above their heads....THEY're trying to make their customers feel cozy and good with the ambiance they set in the dining but for the front cash counter? NOTHING! ...

one little advice for them, there are cheap halogen lights that you can put up there to make your employees look good and thus, exude a much more positive image for your business..just look at Starbucks, their food could be just as fattening especially if you don't order a "super-duper special" coffee but guess what? most don't mind....but with fast foods? People already have an unhealthy connotation of it...

And for my possible detractors on this topic, I know that fluorescent lights are best for working on something.....but you can use both fluorescent lights and halogen lights and lay it out properly..I'm not gonna elaborate on the interior designing concept of this, unless requested.

Any pros? well, of course! There's that irresistible 50% off from any combos/meal when you're on the job to add more padding to your hips/thighs and to promote higher cholesterol levels..Gee! that's fun!....

In case some didn't notice, I was being sarcastic...

So, KUDOS to fast food workers...It's so hard to last in a job like that...There's not a single day wherein there's not at least 15 effing (!!!) customers...

Some are so pathetic, they'd even scam you for $1.59 burger! Can you believe this?! They'd claim that you forgot to put it in and that they're so outraged by this stupidity...then call you a 'retard' and curse some more....

Trust me on this..working in a fast food for a year and a half is enough for me to be able to "profile" people that are most likely to do that....So, before they even get inside...everyone working the floor is warned already and that said effing customer get a little something 'extra' on his/her order.....well, that should make them enjoy their "free" or rather stolen burger quite well...And people that do this, almost always have a particular "profile" to them...not based on gender, though...it's amazing how consistent this is!...Anyone who's worked the floor long enough would agree with me on this...
"People who want to die, hurry up and die. You're wasting good air."
