Enjoy, good people

Smiling?why would they do that? How could they smile!? She stifled the cries that threatened to leave her mouth for fear that the men would hear her. She needed to see what had happened. She needed to know. If the car had crashed?that would mean Heero was?was?
She closed her eyes. She had to find out?now. How could she just stand there when Heero could be?
She could barely even bring herself to say the words in her head.
Dead?what if he?s dead.
She grabbed onto the tree next to her for support. She felt like she was going to collapse any second; the lack of sleep and food in the past week finally getting the better of her.
She saw the car drive off down the street and turn back where it had come from. Without pausing for thought, she ran out from behind her cover, heading towards the road where she?d heard the explosion. As she rounded the corner, she caught sight of her car?if you could still call it that.
It had been completely destroyed, large bits of shrapnel covering the wide road. There was fire everywhere. The front of the car had been upturned, the remains of the back spread over the street. But there was more.
An arm was protruding from the driver?s open window. It was lifeless. Limp. Bloody. She knew who?s arm it was. It was his.
Relena sank to her knees. She was too shocked to scream, to cry?to do anything apart from stare. Her world was spinning, her vision blurred. She had lost him. She herself was lost.
?Good evening your highness??
Relena stood up so quickly she almost lost her balance. Turning around, her eyes widened as she realised who had spoken. It was the one of the men. The men that had been after her?
Relena stood dead still, her mouth open. The man took a step forward. Relena still didn?t move. The stranger?s mouth curled into a vicious smile.
?Thought you could get away, did you? Well, sorry to spoil your little plan, your highness.? His voice dripped with disdain. ?It looks like your friend tried his hardest to keep you alive?it seems he died in vain, wouldn?t you say?? He laughed looking over to the remains of her car. His laugh was the most disgusting noise Relena had ever heard.
She tried to make out his face, but couldn?t decipher his features in the dark - the only thing she could see was his sardonic smile. He walked closer to her still, until he was only a few inches away.
?Don?t you have anything to say, highness??
Her eyes flicked to his, anger that had been smouldering within her beginning to rise.
?Who are you?? she sneered. The man laughed again. That laugh? She shivered involuntarily.
?I?m afraid I can?t tell you that right now, princess?stick around though?? he paused and took a stray piece of her hair in his fingers. ??and you?ll find out.? He placed the piece of hair behind Relena?s ear. She flinched at his touch and took a step back.
?And why would I ever stick around someone as sick as you?? She spat at him, making a move to push past. The stranger didn?t move.
?Get out of my way, or suffer the consequences.? She shouted, her eyes narrowing. She brought her hand up to slap him, but he caught it before she could do anything.
?Bad move.?
With one quick motion, he removed something from his pocket and without warning, jammed it violently into Relena?s neck.
She tried to scream, but didn?t hear any sound escape her throat.
She had hit the floor before she had a chance to take another breath.
?Bad move??

The first thing Relena felt when she awoke was pain. Agonising pain. Everywhere. She groaned as she forced her eyes to open. Her vision was blurry. What the hell is going on?wh?where am I?
It was dark, yet the world still seemed to spin. She felt like she was going to be sick.
And then she remembered.
Heero?
He was gone. He was really gone. He couldn?t help her anymore. She bit back a moan as she realised that it was her fault he was.... He had been trying to help her. He died for her. He died for someone as useless and as stupid as her.
He died for nothing.
She didn?t realise that her hands were tied behind her until she tried to cover her face with them. It was then that she also noticed her feet were bound together, hooked onto a chain that was secured to the same wall she was slumped against. Where the hell was she? That man?he did this?he brought me here. She grunted angrily as she tried to free herself from her bindings. After what seemed like hours she gave up. God, how she wished they had killed her. She leant back against the stone wall and cried.
?HEERO!!? she screamed, her voice cracking as hot tears cascaded down her cheeks.
?Heero?? she whispered into the darkness.
?What??
?a groan came from the other side of the room.
Relena stopped crying immediately. Her eyes shot open. Did she just?no, it couldn?t be?..there was no way it could possibly be..?She was dreaming. She must be dreaming.
?You don?t have to shout you know?I?m right here?? Came the voice again, it sounded pained, like it took a lot of effort to speak at all?but it was?.it was a voice she thought she?d never hear again. His voice.
?H?Heero?? She choked on her tears. A pained laugh reached her ears.
?Did you really think you could get rid of me that easily??
